This study aims to explore the impact of consumer time sensitivity on product development process choices in a competitive market. By analyzing the existing literature, this study identifies two main approaches to product development: concurrent processes and sequential processes. Concurrent processes allow companies to accelerate product launches, while sequential processes reduce the risk of irreversible upfront investments. The study found that consumer time sensitivity encourages companies to adopt concurrent processes, especially in dynamic markets. In addition, asymmetry in competition, where companies have different product approval probabilities, affects the development strategy carried out. Government policies also play a role in supporting investment in product development through subsidies, although this can lead to unwanted side effects. This research provides important insights for managers and stakeholders in formulating effective product development strategies and underscores the importance of understanding consumer behavior in corporate decision-making.

The construction industry in Indonesia is growing rapidly, playing a crucial role in the country's economic, political, and social development. However, alongside this rapid growth, issues such as project delays are inevitable. The construction project of the Indonesian Maritime Polytechnic, for instance, has experienced significant delays, which can lead to increased costs, waste of human resources, and disputes among the involved parties. Understanding the primary causes of these delays is essential for developing effective strategies to avoid future delays. This analysis uses both qualitative and quantitative methods to identify the root causes of delays. Data was collected through surveys of respondents involved in the project, including project managers, field staff, and consultants. The analyzed causes of delays include insufficient funding, increases in raw material costs, additional costs, contract document errors, poor communication, and slow decision-making. To minimize delays and their impacts, several recommendations can be made: effective strategic planning, improved communication, increased staff, accurate initial cost estimates, and good management. By implementing these recommendations, the Indonesian Maritime Polytechnic construction project can be completed more effectively and efficiently, and future delays can be avoided.

A high-quality management accounting system provides accurate, timely, and relevant information to support managers in decision-making, planning, and control. Research shows a positive relationship between the quality of management accounting systems and managerial performance. In addition, decentralization, by delegating authority to lower-level managers, allows for faster and more effective decision-making and increases managerial motivation. Effective implementation of these two factors can significantly improve managerial performance and the competitiveness of a company.

From simple analytical cost accounting, it has now reached an integrated system to meet the needs of managers regarding the measurement of enterprise performance and the need to make the best decisions. The field of using costs in decision-making has become multifunctional and has expanded into all branches of activity, including non-productive ones. The purpose of this research is to see how motivated are the concerns of research in the academic world related to the field of costs and their usefulness in decision-making based on scientometric analysis with the help of two software tools, namely OpenAlex and VoSviewer. From the scientometric analysis undertaken, the conclusion emerges that research in the field of the use of costs in decision-making developed rapidly after 2014, with the number of journals in the economic field doubling between 2015-2024. However, there is an interconnection between the terms of one cluster and the terms of another cluster, which demonstrates the fact that the issue of costs and decisions cannot be reduced only to the field of management accounting, it requires a holistic vision and cooperation between various fields, the basis remaining however, the level of the economic field.

This article examines the importance of creating an inclusive workplace for persons with disabilities from the perspective of the encyclical Laborem Exercens, which emphasizes the value and dignity of human beings in the context of work. Pope John Paul II asserts that work is a fundamental right of every individual, including persons with disabilities, enabling them to fully participate in society and develop their potential through employment. The aim of this article is to explore how the principles of Laborem Exercens can be implemented to create a fair, flexible, and accommodating workplace for persons with disabilities. This article also highlights the importance of collaboration among governments, companies, and communities as a key factor in establishing productive and empowering workplaces for persons with disabilities. Providing accessible facilities, flexible policies, and awareness training for managers and colleagues are proposed as concrete steps to realize an inclusive workplace. Achieving an inclusive work environment requires a collective commitment to respecting the dignity and rights of persons with disabilities, which, in turn, will improve their quality of life and contribute to the overall welfare of society. Implementing the values outlined in Laborem Exercens represents a significant step toward a more just, equitable, and inclusive working world.
