This research discusses educational facilities for children with special needs. Children with special needs are a group that requires special attention in education. They have different needs in accessing and participating in the learning process. In this article, we explore the importance of adequate educational facilities for children with special needs. Important aspects of such facilities include an adapted physical environment, technological support, the role of teachers and educational staff, as well as the benefits that children with special needs obtain from good educational facilities. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative research method where data collection is carried out by searching for articles from electronic journals, namely Google Scholar (Scholar), which can strengthen the results of the analysis. The data analysis technique in this research includes three stages, namely organize, synthesize and identify. The research results show that facilities for children with special needs have their own functions. Each facility provides its own benefits for children's growth and development. In this way, children with special needs receive maximum service.

Mathematics is a field of study that has an important role in education. Geometry is one of the mathematics materials taught in primary and secondary schools. However, students in PGMI 3 class still experience many misconceptions in understanding plane material by applying polya theory. The aim of this research is to identify and analyze common misconceptions related to plane material by applying polya theory. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The subjects of this research were 18 out of 39 PGMI 3 UIN North Sumatra students. The results of the research show that there are several misconceptions that occur which involve basic understanding of plane material, steps in solving problems with plane material, misunderstandings about what polya theory is like and making mistakes by not putting symbols in solving problems. This research aims to provide important insights into curriculum development and a more effective teaching approach in working on plane material by applying polya theory. With a more effective understanding of the misconceptions that arise in plane shape material by applying polya theory, appropriate action can be taken to overcome this problem and can help PGMI 3 students at UIN North Sumatra to develop an understanding of plane shape material by applying polya theory better.

This academic exploration delves into the nuanced competencies and dynamics shaping the academic journey of Semester 1 cadets at a distinguished Maritime Institute. Focusing on computer literacy, technological proficiency, and sociocultural influences, our qualitative descriptive approach seeks to unveil the intricate dimensions of contemporary maritime education. The assessment of computer literacy reveals varying competencies, urging the need for a tailored curriculum. While basics like office software and digital navigation are strong, disparities in data analysis proficiency call for targeted interventions. The implications highlight the necessity for a stratified curriculum, ensuring a comprehensive skill set in line with modern maritime demands. Cadets overwhelmingly endorse technology's role in enhancing education, signalling a paradigm shift. Positive attitudes towards online resources, digital simulations, and e-learning platforms advocate for an institutional embrace of cutting-edge tools. Recommendations focus on faculty development and increased technology integration, promising an enriched pedagogical landscape. The exploration of sociocultural influences uncovers a delicate balance between tradition and the necessity of English proficiency. Nuanced strategies are essential to integrate diverse cultural backgrounds. Recommendations call for cultural awareness initiatives and language support programs, aligning the institution with the global orientation of maritime education. In qualitative insights, cadets express a collective desire for a more intentional curriculum, particularly in incorporating cultural perspectives. This research aims to provide a clear picture regarding the lack of cultural and civic literacy which can reduce the value of national character. Indonesia is a country that has a diversity of cultures, religions, customs and so on. The developments of the times and technology that have occurred have made it easy for foreign culture to enter and be absorbed by society, this has caused quite a few Indonesian people to shift their lifestyle to follow foreign and alien cultures to their own culture. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods by collecting data from library sources. The results show that the implementation of cultural and civic literacy in Indonesia is still relatively low, which can reduce national character values such as religiosity, nationalism, independence, the spirit of mutual cooperation and integrity. Therefore, it is necessary to increase public awareness and the active role of education to increase cultural and civic literacy in order to optimize national character values.

Teaching materials are one of the important things in teaching and learning activities. To design learning, it is necessary to consider what kind of teaching and learning materials are needed to achieve learning objectives and achieve the required abilities, and for this reason it is necessary to develop teaching materials. In developing teaching materials, we can refer to two things: the context in which education takes place and the form of learning activities that take place. Contextual considerations are made to determine the packaging format for learning materials. For example, whether students bond with each other. Regarding the format of learning activities, teachers need to consider whether traditional teaching, distance learning, or a combination of both. Five factors must be considered when developing learning materials: student characteristics, format of learning activities, context in which training takes place, learning strategies, and tools for assessing learning outcomes.

This study aims to identify misconceptions that may occur in working on arithmetic series operations among PGMI-3 students at UIN North Sumatra. Arithmetic series are an important topic in mathematics that is often used in various scientific contexts. However, misconceptions in understanding and performing arithmetic series operations can be an obstacle to strong understanding and problem-solving abilities. This research uses survey and test methods to identify misconceptions that generally arise when PGMI-3 students work on arithmetic series operations. The research results show that there are several misconceptions involving understanding the general formula for arithmetic series, calculating the nth term, and adding terms in a series. Most of these misconceptions are related to an inaccurate understanding of the basic concepts of arithmetic series. This study also attempts to identify factors that may contribute to these misconceptions, including teaching methods, teaching materials, and students' educational background. The results provide important insights for the development of curricula and teaching approaches that are more effective in understanding arithmetic series operations. With a better understanding of the misconceptions that may arise in working on arithmetic series operations, appropriate action can be taken to overcome this problem and help PGMI-3 students at UIN North Sumatra develop a better understanding of mathematics. This research also has implications in the broader context of mathematics education in Indonesia.
