Globalization has brought significant impacts across various sectors of life, including language and literature. Rapid flows of information, intercultural interactions, and the dominance of international languages such as English have triggered changes, adaptations, and even identity confusion in the use of local languages and the development of literary works. This paper explores the influence of globalization on the evolution of language and literature, both in the context of preservation and creativity. Language undergoes modifications in structure and vocabulary as a result of cultural interaction and technological advancement, while literature evolves in terms of genres and media, as reflected in the emergence of digital literature and literacy phenomena on social media platforms. On the other hand, globalization also provides opportunities for local literary works to reach international audiences through translation and digital media. Using a descriptive and analytical approach, this paper highlights the challenges and opportunities arising from the intersection of globalization, language, and literature, as well as their significance in formulating strategies to maintain cultural identity through language and literary expression.

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in supporting Indonesia’s economic development, not only by contributing to economic growth but also by creating employment opportunities. Along with the rapid increase in the number of MSMEs, competition among business actors has become increasingly intense, including in the knitted industry, which requires consistent product quality and efficient production processes. In this context, this community service program is designed to strengthen the competitiveness of MSMEs by improving their understanding and implementation of machine maintenance. Proper and well-planned maintenance practices are expected to reduce the risk of machine failure and minimize product defects. The activities were carried out through a series of socialization sessions, training programs, and technical assistance focused on machine maintenance calculations. The expected output of this program is a community service report that will be further developed into a scientific article and published in the Indonesian Journal of Community Service.

Waste management at the village level still faces various challenges, particularly related to the practice of open burning, which causes environmental pollution and health risks. This condition reflects a gap between the concept of sustainable waste management within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the social reality of local communities. This community service activity aims to implement a low-smoke waste burning container as a community-based waste management innovation and to analyze its contribution to the achievement of the SDGs in Nglaris Village. The method applied was a participatory approach involving observation, socialization, design and construction of the burning container, assistance, and program evaluation. The results indicate that the implementation of the low-smoke burning container reduces the intensity of smoke emissions, increases community participation, and encourages behavioral changes in waste management practices. The program also contributes to improving the quality of the living environment and supports the achievement of SDGs, particularly in environmental, health, and sustainable settlement aspects. These findings demonstrate that simple technological innovations adapted to local social conditions can serve as a model for sustainable waste management at the village level.

The development of education in the digital era requires students to master not only academic skills, but also soft skills and hard skills as a provision to face the challenges of education and the world of work. However, the learning process at Papua High School in Sorong City is still teacher-oriented, so students' communication courage and technological skills have not developed optimally. This community service activity aims to empower students through public communication training (public speaking) and computer network cable techniques to strengthen 21st century skills. The method used is a participatory approach with hands-on practice through four stages: observation, socialization, training, and evaluation. Public speaking training is focused on increasing students' courage and confidence in communicating, while network cable training emphasizes basic technical skills such as recognizing cable types, RJ-45 connector functions, crimping techniques, and connectivity testing. The results of the activities showed high participation and enthusiasm from students, as well as increased public speaking courage and basic understanding in network cable making. The integration of public communication training and technology skills has been proven to have a positive impact on the development of student competencies. Therefore, this activity is recommended as a model for developing soft skills and hard skills for high school students, especially in areas with limited access to technology learning.

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) plays a crucial role in shaping students' personality and morals, not only by imparting religious knowledge but also by internalizing moral values for everyday life. The rapid development of technology, globalization, and social change presents challenges to moral development, requiring PAI learning to effectively integrate moral values in classroom dynamics. This study aims to examine the integration of moral values in PAI learning and its implications for strengthening character education. Using a qualitative approach with library research, data were gathered from books, journal articles, and previous studies on PAI and moral education. Data collection was through documentation, and content analysis was used to synthesize concepts, theories, and findings. Infrastructure expansion has been increasingly recognized as a transformative force shaping the social, economic, and cultural dynamics of coastal communities. This study investigates the effects of major infrastructure development specifically ports and toll roads on social mobility and religious practices within the traditional fishing communities of Bengkalis Island. Using a qualitative design, data were collected through field observations, in-depth interviews with fisherfolk, local leaders, and religious figures, as well as reviews of regional development policies. The findings reveal that new infrastructure has introduced shifts in livelihood patterns, encouraging economic diversification beyond traditional fishing activities. These shifts contribute to both upward and horizontal mobility, altering long-standing social hierarchies within the community. Moreover, the changing economic landscape influences religious life: traditional maritime rituals experience reduced centrality, while formalized religious organizations gain greater authority and participation. Infrastructure development also increases exposure to external cultural influences, accelerating negotiations of religious identity and modern interpretations of faith. Overall, this study argues that infrastructure projects function not only as physical catalysts of development but also as sociocultural drivers that reshape belief systems, communal relations, and the lived realities of traditional fishing populations. The research highlights the necessity of adopting development strategies sensitive to local contexts and cultural continuity.

This study aims to determine how the implementation of the cooperative learning model can contribute to students' cognitive development in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMA Negeri 1 Kasihan. The background of this study is based on the low level of active student involvement in the PAI learning process, which is still dominated by conventional lecture methods. The study used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation of PAI teachers and grade 11 students. The results showed that the implementation of cooperative learning encouraged students to be more active in discussions, think critically, and understand religious concepts in depth. This model also improved social skills, responsibility, and collaboration among students. Thus, cooperative learning not only strengthens the cognitive domain but also develops students' affective and psychomotor aspects in a balanced manner. These findings demonstrate that cooperative learning is effectively used in PAI learning as an effort to create an interactive, collaborative, and meaningful learning process.

This study aims to analyse the factors influencing the implementation of Financial Accounting Standards for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Semarang City. Specifically, it examines the effects of accounting understanding, information technology utilisation, and MSME owners’ perceptions on SAK EMKM implementation, with SAK EMKM socialisation as a moderating variable. The research employs a quantitative approach using primary data collected through questionnaires distributed to 109 MSME actors selected through purposive sampling. Data were analysed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) to evaluate relationships among variables. The results indicate that accounting understanding and MSME owners’ perceptions have a positive and significant effect on the implementation of SAK EMKM. Meanwhile, information technology utilisation shows a significant but suboptimal impact, as technology is still primarily used for operational purposes rather than for financial reporting. In addition, SAK EMKM socialisation does not significantly moderate the relationships between the independent variables and SAK EMKM implementation. The originality of this study lies in the inclusion of SAK EMKM socialisation as a moderating variable and the focus on MSMEs in Semarang City as the research context. This study contributes to the development of accounting practices for MSMEs by emphasising the importance of internal capacity building and more practical-oriented socialisation programs to improve the quality of financial reporting.
