This study investigates doctor–patient communication strategies in overcoming verbal and non-verbal language barriers within the Pain Clinic of RSUD Genteng Banyuwangi, a public hospital in East Java, Indonesia. Pain clinics pose unique communicative challenges, as patients often struggle to express their discomfort clearly due to limited health literacy, cultural norms, or emotional inhibitions. This research aims to identify and analyze the communicative methods employed by doctors to facilitate accurate information exchange and build therapeutic rapport with patients experiencing chronic pain. Utilizing a qualitative approach, this study applies Conversation Analysis (CA) to naturally occurring doctor–patient consultations recorded through non-intrusive video methods. Verbal and non-verbal interactions were transcribed and analyzed to uncover recurring communicative patterns. The data were interpreted through sociolinguistic and pragmatic lenses to account for the local language diversity and cultural context of Banyuwangi. Findings reveal that doctors employ multiple strategies to clarify meaning and adapt communication: repetition, strategic questioning, utterance correction, and linguistic adaptation. Additionally, doctors interpret and respond to patients' non-verbal cues, including vocal tone, facial expressions, and body gestures, to supplement incomplete verbal communication. These strategies not only enhance diagnostic accuracy but also promote empathy, trust, and patient-centered care. The study concludes that effective communication in pain clinics must account for linguistic diversity, cultural sensitivities, and emotional dynamics. Adaptive and empathetic communication fosters better understanding, reduces the risk of diagnostic error, and improves treatment outcomes. The findings offer practical implications for clinical training and healthcare policy, particularly in multicultural and linguistically diverse settings.

Work in the informal sector, such as weaving, has high health risks due to the repetitive nature and static positions required. Weavers often experience Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) due to sitting too long in front of the loom for about 8 hours. This condition causes muscle contractions in the shoulders and neck, reduces blood flow, and causes pain and fatigue. A study of two sarong weaving industries in Dalangan Village found that 70% of 10 workers complained of low back pain. Many workers work with non-ergonomic positions and inappropriate equipment. Improvements in work attitudes are needed so that workers' health and productivity are maintained. This study aims to determine the relationship between work attitudes and MSDs disorders in the central craftsmen of the weaving industry. This research is a quantitative study using observational analysis method with cross sectional approach. The population was 35 from 4 locations with a sample of 35 respondents taken using total sampling technique. Assessment for work attitudes using the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) and for Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) experienced using the Nordic Body Map (NBM). Education is not only about academic knowledge, but also about the overall balance between body and mind. Amidst increasing academic demands and constant social pressures, students’ mental health is a crucial aspect that should not be ignored. Mental health literacy in a legal perspective is the foundation for academic success, healthy social interactions and overall quality of life. In the educational environment, we often talk about achievement, grades and preparation for the future, but we often forget that students’ mental health is an important foundation for achieving such success. Mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression or stress that are not addressed can interfere with concentration in learning, healthy social interactions, and even general physical health. Therefore, it is important for us to start building mental health literacy in a legal perspective among students. By knowing the symptoms that may appear, preventive measures that can be taken and available sources of support, we can help create an inclusive, caring and supportive educational environment for students’ mental well-being. Many countries have specific regulations that cover aspects of mental health literacy in the educational environment, including students’ rights related to access to services and protection from discrimination. Student mental health literacy from a legal perspective involves the application of legal principles in the context of protecting and fulfilling students' rights related to mental health in the educational environment. Mental health literacy from a legal perspective as an integral part of individual well-being is gaining increasing emphasis in the legal realm. Protection of individual mental health does not only rely on medical aspects, but is also closely intertwined with the rights and regulations that accompany it. Education, advocacy, and cross-sector collaboration are key in efforts to improve mental health protection from a legal perspective that includes interrelated social, educational, health, and legal aspects. Through a better understanding of this background, regulations and policies can be developed to better protect and support students' mental health in educational institutions.

The tongue is a small part of the body that holds significant power to influence both individual life and community well-being. James 3:1–12 provides a firm warning about the dangers of an uncontrolled tongue, depicting it as a fire, a world of evil, and deadly poison. This study aims to examine the meaning of controlling the tongue as a responsibility of Christian spirituality through a literature review and exegetical-hermeneutical analysis of James 3:1–12. This qualitative research employs primary data from the biblical text (Indonesian Bible Society version and the Greek text) and secondary data from commentaries, Christian ethics books, and theological journals. The findings indicate that controlling the tongue is a sign of spiritual maturity and an essential aspect of Christian discipline that must be continuously cultivated. Disciplined speech reflects living faith and serves as a means to foster love, truth, and peace within the community. This study highlights the need for churches and believers to integrate ethical speech as a core part of their witness in the world.

The purpose of this study was to determine the Role of the Election Supervisory Body in the Simultaneous Regional Head Elections in Tasikmalaya Regency in 2024. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive research method. This method includes observation, interviews and documentation. Data processing techniques in this study are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the role of the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) has not been running optimally as seen from four dimensions. First, in the dimension of the role as an entrepreneur, Bawaslu experienced obstacles in understanding organizational issues and building relationships with the KPU, which was caused by miscommunication and weak supervision which led to a Revote. Second, in the dimension of the role as a disturbance handler, Bawaslu has not been effective in dealing with unexpected problems, hampered by the pros and cons of the community and the lack of formal and material evidence to follow up on reports of alleged violations. Third, in the dimension of the role as a resource allocator, the use of funding sources has not been optimal because the Revote resulted in the use of previous funds being inefficient. Finally, in terms of its role as a negotiator, Bawaslu has not been effective when participating in negotiations because it often takes a long time. The efforts that must be made are to strengthen communication and coordination between Bawaslu and the KPU, increase transparency and supervision during the election process, improve the system for collecting evidence of alleged violations and accelerate the negotiation process so that the decision-making process runs more efficiently. Based on the results of the study above, it can be concluded that the Role of the Election Supervisory Body in the Simultaneous Regional Head Elections in Tasikmalaya Regency in 2024, overall, is still not running optimally.

The church is the Body of Christ that carries out God’s vision and mission in the world to bring many lost souls. Often the church is confused when it has to determine its attitude towards people who sin. One extreme attitude is to just let someone fall into sin because they are afraid of offending that person. Another extreme attitude is to hate sin so much that they also hate the person who does it. Discipline in the church is a major oversight in some churches today. The church also often misunderstands the meaning of church discipline and misimplements it to the congregation. The church misunderstands that church discipline is a form of punishment given not as a warning or reprimand to regret mistakes and return to the right path. From the title of this article, the author describes the results of the discussion using the Qualitative method through a literature research study sourced from scientific papers in the form of journals and related articles that produce several discussions including: the definition and purpose of church discipline, forms of church discipline, challenges in implementing church discipline, and the last is how church discipline can build a spiritually and socially healthy congregation community. The discussion of this article is described by the author to the readers so that they can increase their insight and even teach and encourage the church to always be firm in disciplining congregations who commit sins based on the truth of God’s word.

This article examines the importance of understanding and applying church discipline in the life of today’s congregation based on biblical principles. Church discipline is not merely seen as a form of punishment but as a means of God's grace to bring about restoration, spiritual growth, and order within the body of Christ. Through the study of Scripture and theological reflection, this paper explains that discipline is an expression of God’s love aimed at guiding His people toward repentance and truth. In practice, discipline must be carried out with love, patience, and wisdom, thus reflecting the character of Christ rather than serving merely as a corrective measure. The article also highlights the challenges of applying church discipline in the context of a modern culture that tends to reject authority and correction. Nevertheless, the author asserts that discipline remains relevant and essential as a means of preserving the holiness of the church and its witness to the world. The conclusion of this discussion shows that church discipline, when properly implemented, has a positive impact on both individuals and the faith community as a whole.

This study aims to identify and analyze forms of gender bias found in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) textbooks at the Senior High School (SMA) level. Using a qualitative approach with content analysis methods, grounded in a critical paradigm and gender perspective, this research found that gender representation in several teaching materials remains unequal. Gender bias in the textbooks is manifested through narratives that position men as dominant in the public sphere, while women are confined to domestic roles. The analyzed materials include topics such as pilgrimage requirements, covering the body and dressing, visiting graves, marriage guardians and witnesses, and family leadership. In these narratives, women are often portrayed as weak, in need of protection, or limited in their roles. This indicates that PAI textbooks continue to reproduce patriarchal values that may reinforce gender-based social inequalities in educational settings. The study recommends that teaching materials be revised to be more inclusive and aligned with gender equality principles as mandated by national education regulations. Thus, education can serve as a fair and equitable instrument for all students, regardless of gender.

Dance is an effective medium for children, providing an alternative channel for expressing complex emotions and feelings. The body movements, rhythms and music of dance allow children to convey their experiences in a creative and non-verbal way. There is a positive correlation between participation in dance activities and participation in dance activities with increased social emotional development of children. By learning movement and improvisation, children can express a range of calming emotions from joy to sadness and from anger. Dance also helps children develop motor skills, coordination and creativity. Therefore, the integration of early childhood education and dance into elementary schools is highly recommended as a holistic approach to the development of children's potential and as a way to support child emotional well-being.

Plyometric training is an effective training method in increasing muscle power, especially in the lower body which is very much needed in various sports. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of two types of plyometric training, namely Single Leg Hop and Double Leg Hop, on increasing leg muscle power. The study was conducted using a literature review approach to eight previous relevant studies. The results of the review showed that both types of training had a positive and significant effect on increasing leg muscle power. However, most studies concluded that Single Leg Hop training was superior in increasing unilateral strength and specific muscle explosive power, especially in sports such as futsal, basketball, and long jump. Thus, Single Leg Hop training can be recommended as a more effective method for developing lower muscle power, although the selection of training types still needs to be adjusted to the characteristics and needs of athletes.
