The purpose of this activity is to determine the success of the role of efforts to develop the Gorontalo Class IIA Penitentiary for prisoners, one of which is prisoners who have a high level of awareness so that there will be no repetition of narcotics crimes (narcotics recidivism). The research method used is a type of empirical legal research, namely the Sulatul Meltholm research method, which has the ultimate function of seeing law in a real sense and studying how law works in the social environment. The results of the research obtained on the role of Correctional Institutions in efforts to guide recidivist perpetrators of narcotics crimes in Gorontalo Class IIA Prisons have not been effective. The development of information and communication technology has changed the landscape of education as a whole, including in the context of Christian Religious Education (PAK). This article aims to review the challenges, negative impacts, new opportunities and use of technology in PAK in the digital era. In dealing with this problem, the research method used involves qualitative analysis with data synthesis from various related studies. The research results show that the integration of technology in PAK has the potential to improve learning content, increase student engagement, and create a more interactive learning experience. However, it is important to note that there are negative impacts of the digital era, such as the risk of dependence on technology, which also need to be considered in the context of religious learning. However, there are new opportunities offered by technological developments and how to use them at PAK. This includes the use of various methods and platforms that support interactive and creative learning, which can help increase students' understanding of Christianity in the digital era. Thus, the use of technology in PAK is not only about exploiting the advantages of technology to improve teaching, but also about understanding and overcoming the challenges and negative impacts that may arise. Only with a balanced approach between the use of technology and an understanding of its specific context, can Christian religious education in the digital era become more effective and relevant for the younger generation.

This study aims to examine how mediation is used in defamation cases that involve social media. With a normative legal perspective, this study employs a descriptive qualitative methodology. In order to analyze the phenomena and draw conclusions, this study's analysis technique involves looking at phenomena through the lens of already-existing library sources. The study's findings demonstrate how efforts to resolve criminal cases through non-litigation methods such as penal mediation can stifle efforts to resolve cases legally, leading to the imposition of criminal penalties. Keeping in mind that the goal of updating Indonesia's national criminal code is not just to exact revenge or retaliation (retributivism), but rather to resolve or repair the effects of a conflict or crime. In addition, penal mediation as a means of settling cases outside the court (non-litigation) can be a solution to overcoming the problem of overcapacity that is commonly experienced by correctional institutions in Indonesia.

The rapid evolution of smart cities, driven by the integration of technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and blockchain, has brought about significant advancements in urban infrastructure and services. However, these developments also introduce new cybersecurity challenges. Introduction: Smart cities are increasingly vulnerable to cyber threats due to the extensive use of interconnected devices and systems. A key security concern is the management of digital identities, which is essential for maintaining the integrity and reliability of city services. Literature Review: Traditional centralized identity management systems face significant security issues, including a single point of failure, data breaches, and limited user control over personal information. In contrast, decentralized solutions, particularly blockchain-based systems, offer enhanced security through their distributed nature, eliminating vulnerabilities associated with centralized models. Materials and Method: This research focuses on blockchain technology’s application in smart city identity management. A decentralized framework is proposed, leveraging cryptographic techniques, consensus mechanisms, and smart contracts to ensure data security, integrity, and privacy. Results and Discussion: The implementation of blockchain for identity management significantly improves attack tolerance, data integrity, and transparency. The decentralized approach mitigates the risks associated with central authorities, ensuring that user data remains secure and verifiable. However, scalability, interoperability, and regulatory compliance challenges remain. Blockchain solutions must be optimized for large-scale smart city applications and aligned with legal standards to achieve widespread adoption. Future research should focus on overcoming these challenges to create a more secure and resilient smart city infrastructure.

This study aims to determine the criminal law policy in the return of state financial losses in the form of replacement payments by corruption convicts and to determine the efforts made by police investigators in overcoming obstacles to the return of state financial losses in the form of replacement payments by corruption convicts. The method used in this study is a qualitative method, with a normative legal approach as the main approach and empirical legal as a supporting approach. The data sources in this study were obtained from secondary data as the main data and primary data as supporting data. Furthermore, the data were then processed using qualitative methods. The results of the study obtained information that the criminal payment of replacement money has been regulated in Law No. 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption as amended by Law No. 20 of 2001. The amount of replacement money payment is the same as the assets obtained from the crime of corruption. If the replacement money is not paid, the convict is sentenced to imprisonment for a period not exceeding the maximum threat of the principal sentence. Therefore, the return of state financial losses cannot be optimal. The amount of compensation for state financial losses needs to be increased, by confiscating and seizing the perpetrator's assets/wealth. The Asset Confiscation Law needs to be formed as a legal basis for confiscating assets from corruption.

The growing environmental crisis underscores the need for education systems to foster ecological responsibility among students. This study explores the potential for multifaith schools to cultivate environmental moral education through an interreligious pedagogical model. By integrating diverse religious teachings on ecology, the proposed model aims to promote shared moral values for environmental protection and sustainability. The research addresses the gap in existing environmental education, which often lacks an integrated approach that incorporates various religious perspectives. Through a qualitative research design, the study analyzes curricula, observes classroom practices, conducts interviews with educators, and evaluates existing environmental education frameworks in multifaith schools. The study identifies key strategies, including the incorporation of eco-ethics from different religious traditions, project-based learning, and interfaith dialogues, as effective means of fostering ecological responsibility. However, challenges such as balancing doctrinal differences, overcoming biases, and developing inclusive pedagogy remain. The study emphasizes the importance of designing educational content that respects all faiths and promotes intercultural dialogue, thereby encouraging a collective commitment to sustainability. The findings suggest that multifaith schools can serve as powerful platforms for environmental moral education, highlighting the value of integrating religious perspectives into sustainability education. The study concludes with recommendations for incorporating interreligious eco-ethics into curricula and teacher training programs and suggests future research on the long-term impact of interreligious environmental education and its applicability in diverse cultural contexts.
