Marriage preparation courses have become increasingly important for couples who wish to build a strong foundation for their relationships. These courses provide couples with the tools to understand and navigate their roles and responsibilities in a marriage. For Catholic couples, attending marriage preparation courses is seen as an essential step in preparing for a lifelong commitment, in accordance with the teachings of the Catholic Church. According to John Paul II (1981) in Familiaris Consortio, a document that outlines the duties and responsibilities of families, the preparation for marriage should be holistic, addressing not only the emotional and social aspects but also the spiritual and theological dimensions of family life. This study specifically aims to explore the meaning and impact of marriage preparation courses on the happiness of Catholic families at the St. Paul Beganding station. Using a qualitative approach, the research employed a combination of observation, interviews, and documentation techniques to gather data. The study involved 12 informants, including five married couples who had attended marriage preparation courses, one Porhanger (a community leader), and one parish priest under the St. Peter and Paul Kabanjahe parish. The findings reveal that marriage preparation courses had a significant and positive effect on the happiness of Catholic families, particularly those at the St. Paul Beganding station. The course content provided couples with a deeper understanding of their roles and duties as spouses and parents, allowing them to build stronger, more resilient relationships. Participants expressed that the courses helped them address challenges more effectively and fostered a greater sense of commitment and mutual respect. This, in turn, contributed to the overall happiness of their families. Couples who had attended the course reported stronger emotional and spiritual connections, further emphasizing the importance of comprehensive marriage preparation for long-term marital success.

Banking stability plays a crucial role in maintaining financial system resilience and supporting national economic growth. Fluctuations in macroeconomic factors often impact banks' financial health, particularly their capital. This study aims to explore how macroeconomic factors such as inflation, central bank benchmark interest rates, and gross domestic product (GDP) impact capital adequacy ratio (CAR) in conventional banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2020 to 2024. This study employed a quantitative approach with an associative design, utilizing secondary data. The sample size for this study was 43 conventional banks. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression using SPSS. The findings indicate that inflation and benchmark interest rates do not significantly impact financial health, while GDP indicators show a modest positive trend. These findings confirm that macroeconomic conditions are not yet a dominant factor in determining bank capital adequacy. Therefore, it is suspected that internal factors such as risk management, profitability, and operational efficiency play a greater role in maintaining bank capital stability.

Technological advancements in education have led to major transformations, particularly with the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, which emphasizes learning flexibility, student-centered approaches, and educator autonomy in developing innovative teaching methods. One of its essential aspects is the integration of technology for managing educational data, including student health records. At SMP IT Mutia Rahma, biannual student health monitoring has generated a growing volume of data, making it difficult to identify students experiencing psychological challenges. Adolescent mental health problems—such as learning stress, anxiety, and social pressure—can negatively affect academic performance if left unaddressed. This study aims to group students based on their mental health conditions to support more effective intervention strategies. The K-Means Algorithm, a data mining technique for clustering data by similarity, was employed to analyze student health data. The results show that in a three-cluster model, Cluster 2 represents students in a stable condition characterized by high resilience and low counseling needs, indicating good mental health and academic engagement. Meanwhile, Clusters 1 and 3 include students requiring further attention and support. This research demonstrates that the K-Means Algorithm can serve as an effective tool in identifying and categorizing student mental health conditions to improve school-based health management and early intervention programs.

Fasting as a spiritual and health practice has been practiced for thousands of years in various religious and cultural traditions around the world. In the last decade, researchers have shown increasing interest in the health aspects of fasting, not only from a physiological but also a psychological perspective. This phenomenon is interesting to study further, especially in the context of modern society which often faces stress, anxiety, and various mental disorders. The approach used in this study was a qualitative approach with a literature study method that analyzed in depth various reference sources related to the mental impact of fasting. The results of the review of several studies show that fasting has been proven to have an effect on mental health because it has a significant impact on overall mood improvements, with reduced anxiety levels and increased feelings of calm. Furthermore, another important aspect of mental health is cognitive function, which includes attention, concentration, memory, and executive function. It was found that cognitive alertness is generally maintained during short- to medium-term fasting, but begins to decline after longer fasting durations. Fasting also has an impact on extraordinary psychological resilience and good mental health despite advanced age. Researchers attribute this extraordinary mental resilience to the consistent practice of long-term fasting, which may have induced significant neuroplastic and psychological adaptations.

In the modern computing era, servers face significant challenges in data storage due to hardware failures, cyber attacks, or human errors. The problem highlighted focuses on the impact of file systems on three critical aspects: data integrity (accuracy and consistency of data without corruption), data recovery (the ability to restore data after a failure), and failure resilience (fault tolerance, such as redundancy and journaling to prevent downtime). The main issue is that traditional file systems like FAT32 or NTFS are often susceptible to fragmentation, metadata loss, or long recovery times, which can lead to data loss of up to 20-30% on enterprise servers, especially in high-traffic environments like cloud computing.A simple problem-solving process is conducted through a straightforward comparative analysis approach: (1) A literature review of popular file systems (ext4, ZFS, Btrfs); (2) Failure simulations using tools like fsck and stress testing on virtual servers (e.g., via KVM or Docker); and (3) Measuring performance metrics with benchmarking tools like Bonnie++ for I/O throughput, recovery time, and error rates. This process is designed to be simple, requiring only a virtual lab setup without expensive hardware, and is analyzed quantitatively with descriptive statistics. The solution to the problem indicates that advanced file systems like ZFS or Btrfs provide significant improvements: data integrity is up to 95% more secure through automatic checksums, data recovery is achieved in minutes through snapshots and RAID integration, and failure resilience is higher with copy-on-write features. The main recommendation is to migrate to journaling-based file systems for servers, combined with automated backups, which can reduce the risk of downtime by up to 50%. This research provides practical guidance for system administrators to enhance server reliability without excessive additional costs.

The modernization of smart grids through edge computing introduces significant cybersecurity challenges, most stemming from adversarial machine learning attacks that compromise distributed intelligence. Although Federated Learning is an appealing decentralized model training paradigm for edge smart grids, its resilience against coordinated injection and evasion attacks has not yet been thoroughly explored. To address this critical gap, we develop and evaluate a resilient Federated Learning model for edge-based innovative grid applications. Under a rigorous simulation-based experimental design, we created a controlled environment based on synthetic energy-demand data and implemented adversarial attack scenarios to ensure model robustness. We propose a resilience enhancement layer in our framework during the federated aggregation process to curtail malicious model updates and adversarial inferences. The results show significant improvement in the stability of the proposed model under attack, maintaining a robustness index above 0.62, whereas baseline approaches exhibit complete degradation. This corresponds to a reduction of approximately 34% in the attack impact rate across different-intensity attack scenarios, while maintaining high stability in aggregation. In addition to the adversarial testing framework in the domain of Federated Learning, this work provides a validated resilience model that secures analytics of smart grids without requiring access to raw data. Our methodology presents a resource-efficient alternative to physical testing and enables safe yet comprehensive security evaluation in critical infrastructure applications.

University students frequently face various academic demands, such as coursework, research, field practice, and examinations. These pressures may lead to psychological stress that can trigger anxiety. If not properly managed, anxiety can negatively affect academic performance, social interactions, and students’ psychological well-being. The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between the intensity of Qur’an recitation and the level of anxiety among students. This research employed a quantitative descriptive design involving 103 students from the Department of Psychology, Padang State University as participants. The sampling technique used was nonprobability sampling with a purposive sampling approach. The instruments consisted of the Qur’an Reading Intensity Scale adapted from Pradika (2014) with a reliability coefficient of 0.721, and the Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale with a reliability coefficient of 0.829. Data were analyzed using Pearson’s product-moment correlation test. The findings revealed a significant negative correlation between the intensity of Qur’an recitation and students’ anxiety levels (r = -0.801; p = 0.000 < 0.05). This indicates that the more frequently students read the Qur’an, the lower their anxiety levels, and vice versa. Categorization results further showed that most students had a high intensity of Qur’an recitation (42.7%) and experienced low to moderate levels of anxiety (78.7%). These results reinforce previous studies suggesting that spiritual practices such as Qur’an recitation can serve as an effective spiritual coping strategy to foster tranquility, regulate emotions, and strengthen resilience in facing academic stressors. Therefore, Qur’an recitation can be recommended as a complementary approach to maintaining students’ mental health in higher education settings.

The principle of proportionality plays an important role in ensuring a balance of rights and obligations between the parties to a reciprocal agreement. In the context of Indonesian contract law, this principle serves as a mechanism to prevent imbalances that could harm one of the parties, especially in commercial and complex contracts. This study uses a normative juridical approach with a literature review method, which involves analysis of relevant laws and regulations and case studies. This approach allows researchers to explore the application of the principle of proportionality in various types of reciprocal agreements, including franchise agreements and construction service contracts. For example, a study by Susanto et al. (2021) highlights how the principle of proportionality is applied in construction service contracts to ensure a fair distribution of responsibilities between contractors and clients. The results of the analysis show that the consistent application of the principle of proportionality can improve fairness in contractual relationships. In franchise agreements, the application of this principle helps to create a balance between the rights and obligations of the franchisor and franchisee, who often have different bargaining positions. Thus, the principle of proportionality serves not only as a legal principle, but also as a practical tool for achieving fairness in contractual practice

This study examines the concept of the Great Filter as a metaphor to explain why only a few Islamic missionary organizations and startups are able to survive amidst digital disruption, while many others fail. Disruption, characterized by rapid changes in technology, regulations, and societal behavior, creates significant pressure that demands high levels of adaptability and innovation. This study uses a qualitative method based on a literature review by analyzing various literature related to entrepreneurship, digital missionary work, and dynamic capabilities. The results show that the success of Islamic missionary organizations in facing disruption is determined by a combination of visionary leadership, continuous innovation, mastery of digital technology, and the organization's ability to learn and adapt. Conversely, failure is often caused by limited funding, minimal innovation, and weak digital strategies. Thus, the Great Filter can be understood as a natural selection process that only resilient, adaptive organizations can overcome, and is able to combine spiritual values with entrepreneurial innovation.

Culture shock is a phenomenon that is experienced by someone who moves to an environment with a culture that is different from their own just as happened to Todd Anderson in the Outsourced movie. This study used a qualitative method to analyze the main character, Todd Anderson, who was sent to India from America. Todd went through five stages of culture shock based on Adler’s theory. In the contact stage, he was still integrated with his American culture. In the second stage, Todd experienced stress and frustration as his ability to relate, connect, and engage with others fell apart. He also felt alienated from the Indian locals. Todd looked for a relationship with the Americans during the third stage. In the fourth stage, Todd freed himself from previous defensiveness towards Indian culture. In the fifth stage, Todd was able to build trust and sensitivity to the Indians, and Todd accepted all the similarities and differences between Indian culture and American culture. Todd also applied all strategies based on Plummer’s theory. Todd looked for a new support group and enriched his life in India. Todd then discovered Indian social taboos that should be avoided. Finally, Todd developed an understanding of Indian culture. Overall, this study concludes that although culture shock occurs in stages, it can be overcome through embracing the local way of life, as Todd did in the film, and ceasing to reject it.

This research aims to understand how the meaning of loss is constructed in the lyrics of the song “Cutting My Fingers Off” by Turnover, using Ferdinand de Saussure’s semiotic approach. The song was chosen as the object of study because it expresses the emotion of loss intensely through poetic and emotional lyrical symbols. According to Saussure’s theory, meaning is formed through the relationship between the signifier and the signified, where words in the lyrics function as signs that carry deep meaning. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with interview, textual analysis techniques, supported by literature review and observation of listener Turnover’s “Cutting My Fingers Off”. The analysis involves breaking down each verse to identify signifiers and signifieds that shape the emotional meaning of loss. The findings show that the lyrics reflect not only physical loss but also psychological experiences such as alienation, regret, and severed emotional attachment. Symbols like “Cutting My Fingers Off” form a visual metaphor for deep emotional pain. This research concludes that music particularly lyrics is an effective medium of symbolic communication to convey personal experiences. “Cutting My Fingers Off” successfully constructs a complex meaning of loss that resonates personally with its listeners.
