This service aims to optimize road signs in Nalela Village, Porsea District, Toba Regency, to improve accessibility for the community. Accessibility is an important factor in regional development, as it reflects how easily people can reach public services and economic opportunities. The research method used in this service article is descriptive qualitative, by conducting direct observation, in-depth interviews, and data analysis to understand the real conditions in the field. The results of the service showed that although most of the roads in the village were well paved, the lack of clear road signs resulted in confusion among road users. In this work program, HKBP Nommensen University KPPM students designed and installed informative and easy-to-understand road signs. This service successfully demonstrated that optimizing road signs can improve people's understanding in using the road and reaching various facilities. Hopefully, the results of this service can be a reference for similar efforts in other rural areas in Indonesia, so that accessibility becomes one of the priorities in regional development.

The East Java Provincial Government established the East Java Super Corridor (EJSC) in five regions, including Bojonegoro Regency, to provide coworking spaces for the public. EJSC Bakorwil Bojonegoro is the only coworking space in the area, making it essential to offer high-quality services. This study aims to describe the service quality of the coworking space at EJSC Bakorwil Bojonegoro using a descriptive qualitative method. This research focuses on the five service quality indicators proposed by Kotler and Keller (2016): reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles. Data were collected through interviews, observations, documentation, and literature studies, with data analysis involving collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the service quality of the coworking space at EJSC Bakorwil Bojonegoro is generally satisfactory. Reliability is reflected in the provision of free facilities that support user productivity. However, responsiveness still faces challenges in terms of timely responses to complaints and the flexibility of operating hours. Assurance has been established through effective communication, although staff professionalism needs improvement. Empathy is demonstrated through warm and responsive interactions between management and users. Tangibles indicate that the available facilities are adequate, but some shortcomings remain, such as limited parking space and suboptimal workspace arrangement.

This study aims to examine the performance of employees in public service at Selaru District, Tanimbar Islands Regency. The type of research used in this study is qualitative research. The author evaluates employee performance indicators in public service through observation techniques, interview techniques, and documentation techniques. Based on the research findings, the quality of service in Selaru District can be measured by public satisfaction. Although most residents consider the employees' service to be fairly good, there are still complaints regarding long service times. Factors hindering employee performance include a lack of facilities such as computers and low service quality. Punctuality is also an issue, as employees often do not arrive on time, and service speed needs improvement. Service effectiveness is further affected by low work discipline, caused by a lack of leadership firmness and weak sanctions for employees who are late, leave their workplace without a clear reason, or leave early. Additionally, in terms of independence, the government and district head are expected to be more proactive in providing services and meeting the needs of the community quickly and responsively to enhance the effectiveness of public service in Selaru District.

This study aims to analyze the transformation of public services at the village and sub-district levels in the digital era, as well as identify factors that affect the existing service gap, such as limited human resources (HR), low digital literacy of village apparatus, and lack of supporting infrastructure. Although the central government has launched various digitalization programs, such as digital device assistance and human resource training, many villages still face obstacles in implementing technology-based services. This study uses a qualitative approach with case studies in several villages in Indonesia to explore the experiences of village officials and communities related to the digitization of public services. The results of the study show that the majority of village officials have difficulty operating digital technology due to lack of training and digital literacy, while limited infrastructure also hinders the optimization of internet-based services. Village communities who are increasingly aware of the importance of digitalization expect faster and more efficient services, but the digital divide is the main barrier. This research provides recommendations for village governments to increase the digital capacity of village apparatus through continuous training and strengthening digital infrastructure. Overall, the digitization of public services in villages has great potential to improve the efficiency and quality of services, but requires more attention to improving skills and technological facilities at the village level.

The increasing population triggers a demand for land for housing and other activities. Along with this, issues arise regarding the limited availability of land, especially in rapidly developed areas. This limitation has the potential to create an imbalance between the growing need for space and the existing land capacity. This study evaluates the land carrying capacity in four sub-districts in the southern part of Medan City, namely Medan Tuntungan, Medan Johor, Medan Amplas, and Medan Denai, in dealing with the continuously growing population. Using a spatial analysis approach with ArcGIS 10.8 software and detailed spatial data, this research identifies potential areas for residential development and projects the capacity of land to accommodate future populations. The analysis covers physical and environmental aspects such as land slope, soil type, natural disaster risks, and access to public facilities. The results show that each sub-district has different potentials and challenges. Medan Tuntungan, with its large area and flat land conditions, shows significant potential for residential development, although attention must be given to the existence of protected areas and agricultural land that must be preserved. Medan Johor, as an economic center, faces substantial pressure on land use, with some areas nearing their maximum capacity. Medan Amplas and Medan Denai, which are more urban, experience stricter land limitations. Population growth projections indicate a significant increase in land demand in some sub-districts in the coming decades. Without effective management, this has the potential to exert high pressure on the environment and urban infrastructure. This research emphasizes the importance of spatial planning and sustainable development policies to maintain a balance between housing needs and environmental conservation.
