Children's Storybook "What's Around Ami?" is designed as an educational medium incorporating Biblical values for children aged 4-7 years. Utilizing an anthropomorphic approach and lamb symbolism as its main character, this study aims to create easily understandable character designs. The design methodology includes market observation, interviews with child psychologists and teachers, literature studies on anthropomorphism, and questionnaires to validate character designs. According to child psychologist interviews, children show greater preference for animal characters. Drawing on the participants' concrete lived experiences, this study explores how the processes of typification and we-relations shape the construction of meaning in everyday interactions. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and participant observation with four informants and one single caregiver, and analyzed descriptively texturally and structurally. The findings show that affective communication includes empathy, humor, and firm but authoritative correction that become the foundation for the formation of emotional bonds and a sense of “new family.” Holistic routines (praying in congregation, studying, social activities) facilitate the internalization of religious values, discipline, and independence, which in turn strengthen children's self-identity. The process of meaning construction does not only occur through words, but through daily practices that bring together the emotional, spiritual and social dimensions. These results recommend strengthening intersubjective communication training for caregivers in similar institutions to support the development of character and identity of orphans.

Cases of child sexual abuse in Indonesia continue to show an alarming trend and have serious physical, psychological and social impacts on victims. This research aims to analyze the legal and social implications of these criminal acts and formulate responsive and adaptive legal protection strategies. The research method uses a normative-juridical approach through a literature study, supported by secondary data from scientific journals, laws and regulations, and official reports. The results of the study show that although child protection regulations have been regulated in Law Number 35 of 2014 and Law Number 12 of 2022, their implementation still faces obstacles, such as weak law enforcement, lack of assistance services, and low public legal awareness. Protection strategies based on the victim's perspective, community legal education, and utilization of digital technology are proposed as solutions. This research recommends inter-agency synergy and the strengthening of a legal system that is adaptive to social and digital developments

Corruption is an extraordinary crime with systemic impacts on a nation’s political, economic, and social stability. Various countries adopt different penal approaches to combat corruption, including Indonesia and China. This study aims to analyze and compare the effectiveness of criminal penalties in addressing corruption in both countries. The research uses a normative-juridical and comparative approach by examining legislation, empirical data, and relevant case studies. In Indonesia, the implementation of criminal sanctions tends to be more moderate, with imprisonment and fines being the dominant forms of punishment. However, enforcement faces challenges such as weak institutional independence and political interference. In contrast, China enforces much harsher penalties, including life imprisonment and the death penalty, as part of its "zero tolerance" anti-corruption policy supported by centralized political power. The findings show that although China’s repressive approach appears more stringent, the success in curbing corruption is not solely determined by the severity of the punishment. Instead, it also depends on the consistency, transparency, and integrity of the legal enforcement system. This study recommends that Indonesia reform its criminal policy to be firmer while still upholding principles of human rights and justice.

The low interest and engagement of lower-grade primary school students in literature serve as an important introduction to this study. The aim of this Community Service Program (PKM) was to enhance children’s literary abilities through the use of three innovative media: word cards, short story videos, and descriptive texts. The study employed an experimental method with a pretest–posttest control group design and a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach based on Kemmis & McTaggart (1988), carried out among grades I–III students at SD Katolik Roworeke 2, Ende (approximately 25–30 students per class). Results showed a statistically significant improvement in the experimental group compared to the control group, especially in literary element comprehension and literary appreciation. Word cards enriched vocabulary, story videos increased visual appeal and understanding, while descriptive texts trained literacy and imagination skills. The interactive and contextual learning process proved effective in fostering reading interest, teacher creativity, and students’ literacy enthusiasm. In conclusion, this method is recommended for adoption by Indonesian Language and Literature teachers in lower grades. Future research should expand sample size, include diverse literary works, and explore supporting factors influencing method effectiveness.
