Short stories are part of a literary genre that describes the environment. One of the important things in short stories is how the author's events and thoughts can be expressed well so that they can be understood and enjoyed well by readers. To find information contained in short stories in more depth, research can be done in the form of analysis. The aim of this research is to examine the content of the short story entitled "Penthouse 2601" by Djenar Maesa Ayu using a literary sociology approach. In literary sociology, literary works are considered as a reflection of society's life which cannot be separated from consideration of fictional elements and social aspects of society's life. The research method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive research method. By using listening and taking notes as a data collection technique. The results of this research show that in the short story entitled "Penthouse 2601" there are social aspects and cultural aspects. This research can have implications for Indonesian language learning, especially at the Senior High School (SMA) level    

This study aims to reveal the proficiency level of English language skills among first-year students in the Early Childhood Education department at Universitas Negeri Medan. The skills assessed in this study include grammar, reading comprehension, writing proficiency, listening comprehension, and oral communication. This study employed a quantitative research methodology, focusing on first-year students who are enrolled in English language courses. Throughout the research process, the researchers refrained from administering any interventions to the samples. The acquired data from the samples undergoes analysis using descriptive statistics. The analysis indicates that 70% of the students demonstrated proficiency at the A2 level, which corresponds to basic English usage according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). This level corresponds to the English language proficiency of elementary kids. Based on this study, it is necessary to enhance the English language curriculum utilized in the Department of Early Childhood Education to align with the students' English language competence level.

MSMEs have an important role in the village economy. They create jobs, contribute to infrastructure development and increase employment income. MSMEs are also able to take advantage of local potential, such as natural resources and cultural wisdom, to develop products that are relevant to the needs of the local community. MSMEs play a role in distributing development results. Digital transformation is a global phenomenon that refers to a massive shift from analog to digital systems and processes. This is a fundamental change spurred by the rapid development of information and communication technology. Bulak Village is a village located in Kendal Regency, Central Java. This village has the potential of MSMEs that can be developed through the sustainability of the digital era. However, many Bulak residents still do not understand how to use technology as a facilitator of their business. It is necessary to socialize about digital transformation for MSMEs owner in Bulak village so that MSMEs become wider in marketing their products. The Method are The method used in this socialization activity is an offline seminar method involving various elements Starting from academics, thematic village activists, MSMEs actors in the village and the community common. The seminar participants who attended were very enthusiastic in listening to the material presented by the speakers. After delivering the material, some participantsgave questions that were still confused regarding the use of digital platforms to the speakers. This activity was held by a team of students from Walisogo State University's real work lecture.  

This research aims to analyze speech acts in the YouTube Podcast Warung Kopi (PWK) episode of Brandon Salim which was released on October 29 2023, in order to improve students' listening skills. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method that describes symptoms, facts, or events, systematically and accurately. Qualitative descriptive is a method that utilizes qualitative data and explains it descriptively.  The results of the analysis show that there are 24 types of speech acts in the podcast, including locutionary, illocutionary, assessive, directive, expressive, commissive, declaration, and perlocutionary. Accessive speech acts are the most dominant with 12 utterances, followed by illocutionary acts with 11 utterances. The use of various types of speech acts reflects the diversity and complexity of communication in the podcast. This analysis reveals that understanding and practicing various speech acts can help students listen more carefully and critically,    

The aim of this research is to analyze the moral values ​​contained in the Sendang Sani story. This study used qualitative research methods. Regarding the data source, it comes from a book entitled "East Coast folklore" written by Mohammad Kanzunnudin, published by CV Adhigama in 2024, page 230 and measuring 15.5 × 23 cm. The data is in the form of fragments of the Sendang Sani story. Data collection techniques using the reading and listening method. The data analysis technique uses Miles and Huberman's theory, namely (1) data collection, (2) data reduction, (3) data presentation, (4) drawing conclusions..

The enhancement of linguistic abilities in early childhood is geared towards acquainting and enhancing their linguistic repertoire, enabling effective verbal interaction with their surroundings. The realm of language proficiency encompasses four key components: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. A method employed to foster linguistic proficiency involves the utilization of flashcards. The approach employed in this study involves a review of existing literature. The findings revealed that the utilization of flashcard materials has the potential to enhance linguistic abilities among young children by incorporating visual elements such as images, alphabets, symbols, and colors. This, in turn, captures the attention of children, facilitates easier retention of new words, enables recognition of letter shapes and sounds, enhances listening skills, promotes critical thinking, and encourages verbal expression, as evidenced by their communication proficiency.

The high maternal and newborn mortality rate is a burden for governments globally, considering that the maternal and newborn mortality rate is an indicator of a country's health. Various efforts have been made to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates, including reproductive health literacy, screening programs for pregnant women, improving pregnancy nutrition, and increasing accountability of health workers. This research aims to determine the level of interpersonal communication skills required by midwives, pregnant women and their families. A qualitative research approach using the case study method is used. This research involved six informants from three groups: program creators, program implementers, and program recipients. This research shows that every communicator must improve communication competencies, such as listening effectively, keeping secrets, opening up, and empathizing, to establish successful interpersonal communication between midwives, pregnant women, and the mother's family. Empathy is essential for effective communication between midwives, pregnant women and their families. The empathy in question occurs when communicators understand each other's position and do not force each other's will, giving the impression that the other party is ignoring them. Efforts to save mothers and newborn babies are a responsibility that must be carried out by all parties; This is not only the responsibility of the government, midwives or mothers of newborn babies, but collaboration is needed collaboratively so that efforts to save mothers and newborn babies can have a positive impact and bring about significant change with mutual benefits.

This paper analyzes how the existence of cell groups greatly contributes and influences a person's spiritual growth, especially in terms of maturing congregation members to participate in ministry. In cell groups there is two-way communication, there is interaction in it, which is different from sermons which are only one-way. In a group, all members of the congregation have more opportunities to study the Bible than in worship on Sundays which only involve listening. The purpose of this study was to describe the effectiveness of Filial Play in increasing the ability of parents to regulate emotions and empathize while accompanying children. Qualitative research method with a narrative research approach using NVIVO-12. The results showed that by being given Filial Play treatment, namely structuring skills, setting boundaries, attentive listening, and child-centered games for 3 months so that the informants could carry out Filial Play a flexible and integrated manner. By applying the four Filial Play skills, parents become better able to regulate emotions by means of cognitive reappraisal and expression suppression. In addition, parents are better able to empathize, namely by understanding the child's point of view (perspective taking), placing oneself in the position of others (online stimulation), emotional contagion (emotional contagion), drifting/getting carried away with feelings (peripheral responsiveness), and sympathy/feel what is felt by the child (proximal responsiveness). There is an effectiveness of Filial Play in increasing the ability of parents to regulate emotions children.

This research aims to describe allusions in the news text of the Central Java Tribune as an alternative teaching material in high school. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection was carried out using the note-taking research method, selecting news texts that used figurative language styles and listening carefully, directed and carefully to primary data sources. This Community Empowerment Program involves delivering education on handwashing techniques and raising awareness about the dangers of drugs to children living in the Ar-Ridho Orphanage. Consisting of three stages, namely planning, implementation, and evaluation, this service successfully generated enthusiasm among the participants during the delivery of the materials and handwashing practice sessions. Good information absorption occurred because the material was tailored to their age. Socialization about drugs was also conducted with the aim of providing understanding of their dangers and encouraging them to stay away from drugs from an early age. This activity combines delivering material about drugs with interactive games and quizzes, strengthening the children's understanding of the risks of drug abuse. The results are expected to enhance their understanding and foster a spirit to stay away from drug abuse. Throughout the socialization process, the participants showed enthusiasm both when listening to the material and when practicing proper handwashing. This is because of the use of strategies, methods, and media tailored to their age, allowing participants to understand the socialization material well during this service. Therefore, there is a need for ongoing supervision from the caretakers at the orphanage to ensure the absorption of the taught material.

This research aims to describe the use of language in community interactions at the Motabuik terminal, Atambua City. The use of language in question is the form and function of code switching and code mixing in the interaction of the Motabuik Terminal Community, Atambua City. The data referred to in this research is code switching and code mixing in the interactions of the Atambua City Terminal Community, in the form of speech between the Motabuik Terminal Community. The speech in question is in the form of a conversation containing words, phrases, clauses and sentences that have elements of code switching and code mixing. Data collection was carried out using listening, note-taking and introspection techniques. Data analysis techniques were carried out with all utterances that showed the occurrence of code switching and code mixing in interactions at the Motabuik Terminal, Atambua City which contained elements of code switching and code mixing. Data collection was carried out by listening, taking notes and introspection. The results of the research show that there are two types of code switching in the interaction discourse at the Motabuik Terminal, namely in the form of language transfer, includes code switching from Atambua language to Indonesian and code switching from Indonesian to Atambua language at the Motabuik terminal, namely internal code mixing in the form of Atambua language words and phrases and connecting Indonesian as a unifying language communication tool at the terminal, the code mixing function has aspects speech, to explain, provide information and respect passengers.

Folklore is part of cultural history that reflects the past and thoughts of the community, passed down from generation to generation orally or in writing, and contains various values of life. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with a structural approach, aiming to analyze the religious values contained in the folklore “Sunan Muria Mosque” contained in the book “East Coast Folklore” by Mohammad Kanzunnudin, published by CV Adhigama in 2024. The data is a fragment of the story “Masjid Sunan Muria”. The research data are facts about the structure and religious values found in the folklore. The data collection technique used reading and listening methods. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman method which consists of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the analysis show that the folklore “Masjid Sunan Muria” contains motifs of shortcomings and shortcomings that can be overcome as well as exemplary religious values, including aspects of belief, worship, knowledge, and practice. Sunan Muria, the main character in the story, shows a strong belief in the teachings of Islam and his ability to practice these values in real actions. The implication of this research is to provide inspiration and learning about the importance of religious values in everyday life and how these values can be applied for the common good.    

Radio remains one of the most widely used mass communication media today, but the analog technology used in conventional radio has several limitations. To address these limitations, digital radio technology such as HD Radio was developed. HD Radio offers better, clearer, and more interference-resistant sound quality compared to analog radio. This article discusses the basic concepts, recent developments, and practical implications of the HD Radio Transmission System in the context of the modern media industry. With advanced digital technology, HD Radio is capable of delivering superior audio quality and a more immersive listening experience, as well as presenting new opportunities for broadcasters and content producers to compete in an increasingly competitive market. This study employs library research and purposive sampling methods to gather data from various literatures, journals, and interviews with selected informants.

Radio is a mass media that is still used by many people as a means of communication, such as listening to songs, informing news and others. One of the radio stations that still exists and is developing to this day is Radio Republik Indonesia, which is overseen by the government, which can now be accessed via available radio and websites so that it makes it easier for listeners to listen to and watch the news and can be accessed anywhere. The author conducted research at Radio Republik Indonesia in the Central Jakarta section using qualitative research methods where the author went directly to the field or observed and interviewed as well as assisting with literature studies. The aim of conducting this research was to find out how the broadcasting system and radio supporting equipment at Radio Republik Indonesia Jakarta . So the results obtained are in the form of a radio broadcasting system at Radio Republik Indonesia using two broadcasting systems, namely audio and visual as well as supporting equipment used in the form of Microphones, Mixers, OB – Van, MCR, Transmitter, STL and Antenna.

Assessing speaking ability is a complex task, more difficult than assessing listening, reading, or writing abilities. This is because what is said when speaking is quickly forgotten, so evaluation requires sufficient time to pay attention to the speaking process, not just knowledge of the material being discussed. To carry out this evaluation, the research method generally used is a review of related literature. This research involves collecting information related to a specific topic. In order for a speaking ability evaluation to be carried out successfully, it is necessary to properly understand the basic concepts, learning processes, evaluation techniques, as well as planning and implementation procedures.

The aspect of language skills that a student needs to master and understand after listening is speaking skills. Speaking skills are very important in everyday life because humans are social creatures who talk to other people every day. The ability to pronounce sounds or articulate words to express, express thoughts, ideas and feelings is called speaking. Speaking skills are one of the skills that students want to develop. This type of research is library research, namely research carried out by analyzing and using written literature in the form of books, scientific journals and newspapers as the main source. This library research research approach is qualitative, namely research that emphasizes the analysis of previously existing data. The results of the research in the form of reading skills are really needed by elementary school students, especially high class students, to encourage their self-confidence. As we know, elementary school students, especially high class students, tend to have more social interactions both at school and outside school and are usually asked by teachers to do more work. group assignments, therefore speaking skills are the most important thing.

This research aims to analyze language politeness in conversations in Vindest-Andika's tonighshow YouTube videos. This type of research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data collection technique in this research uses note-taking and listening techniques. politeness of language in Vindest's YouTube Talkshow content can be concluded that there are several maxims that exist in the conversation between Vindest and Andika, namely the maxim of wisdom which occurs at minutes 7.12 and 18.46, the maxim of generosity which occurs at minutes 6.23 and 23.14, the maxim of appreciation which occurs at minutes 24.34 , the simplicity maxim which occurs at minutes 1.19 and 14.55, the consensus maxim which occurs at 2.48 and 11.15 minutes and finally the sympathy maxim which occurs at 5.22 and 15.35 minutes..
