This study explores the relationship between financial literacy, consumer communication, and financial decision-making among English Literature students at Universitas Negeri Medan. Using surveys with 40 participants aged 20-24, the research assesses students’ financial literacy levels, preferences for communication formats, and their impact on financial behaviors. Rsults indicate that while most students have a basic understanding of financial concepts, gaps exist in budgeting, selecting financial products, and seeking assistance. Visual formats like videos and infographics are the preferred communication channels, while social media, though widely accessed, often lacks clarity. Only a portion of students applies financial literacy effectively in decision-making, such as evaluating financial products critically or avoiding unnecessary spending.  The findings emphasize the importance of integrating tailored financial education programs with effective communication strategies. Enhancing financial literacy through practical and accessible learning methods can empower students to make informed and strategic financial decisions.

Environmental degradation caused by excessive exploitation and natural damage has become increasingly concerning in the modern era. To address this issue, madrasahs, as Islamic educational institutions, play a crucial role in instilling environmental conservation values based on the teachings of the Qur'an and Hadith. This study aims to explore the Qur'an and Hadith-based educational approach implemented at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ihyaul Islam Pakuniran in fostering students' awareness of their responsibilities toward environmental conservation. The study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, aiming to deeply understand the teaching processes and the application of environmental education. Data were collected through interviews with the headmaster, teachers, and students, complemented by classroom observations and analysis of curriculum documents and teaching materials. Data validity was strengthened using triangulation to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the findings. The results show that integrating the teachings of the Qur'an and Hadith, such as the concept of maintaining environmental balance (mizan) and the prohibition of environmental destruction (fasad), successfully enhanced students' awareness of the importance of environmental preservation. Activities such as tree planting and waste management, in which students actively participate, reinforced their sense of responsibility toward environmental sustainability. This study concludes that the Qur'an and Hadith-based educational approach holds significant potential in shaping environmentally conscious generations capable of fulfilling their role as guardians of nature in accordance with Islamic teachings.

The Halal Industrial Estate (HIE) in East Java has enormous potential to capitalize on the global trend of increasing demand for halal products. As a country with the largest Muslim population in the world, Indonesia is expected to seize this opportunity through regulations that support the development of HZs, which can not only improve the competitiveness of local products but also expected to contribute to overall economic growth. However, challenges in the development of HEC need to be overcome through close cooperation between the government, industry players, and the community. Socialization of the importance of halal certification and its benefits for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) should also be improved to motivate business actors. Integration between Islamic economy and green economy in the context of sustainable development. In this modern era, environmental challenges are increasingly pressing, and a holistic approach is needed to overcome these problems. The concept of maqashid sharia, which includes the protection of religion, life, reason, property and descendants, provides a comprehensive framework for integrating social, economic and environmental aspects in development. Education and environmental awareness based on Islamic values are one of the important pillars in creating a society that cares about the environment. Several mosques in Indonesia have implemented environmentally friendly principles by optimizing the use of renewable energy and managing waste effectively. This shows that religious institutions can play an active role in supporting the green economy. However, there are still many challenges faced in implementing a green economy in Indonesia, including a lack of environmental literacy in society and human exploitation of other humans. Therefore, this paper aims to find strategies and recommendations that can be implemented to integrate Islamic economics within a sustainable development framework, so as to create synergy between economic growth, social welfare and environmental preservation. Therefore, it is hoped that this paper can contribute to the moral and material development of Islamic society and encourage active participation in environmental conservation efforts.
