This research is motivated by the importance of preserving the authenticity of the Qur’an as the primary source of Islamic teachings and law, which serves as the foundation for legal certainty within the Islamic Family Law system. Historical records show that the codification process of the Qur’an carried out by Zaid bin Tsabit during the caliphates of Abu Bakr and Uthman bin Affan played a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and uniformity of the revealed text, thereby having significant implications for the validity of Islamic legal arguments. This study aims to critically analyze the role of Zaid bin Tsabit in the Qur’anic codification process and its implications for the certainty of the textual basis (nash) in Islamic family law. Using a qualitative method with a historical-normative approach, this research combines chronological and normative analyses of primary sources such as the works of as-Suyuthi and az-Zarkasyi, as well as secondary sources in relevant academic literature. The findings indicate that the codification process of the Qur’an holds not only historical value but also juridical significance, as it ensures the authenticity of the text as the foundation of Islamic law. Therefore, integrating historical and normative aspects is essential to maintaining the authority of Islamic legal sources in the contemporary era.

The Bible teaches much about wisdom. It could even be said to be a book of wisdom. One of the wisdoms it teaches is honesty. The biblical definition of honesty encompasses various aspects of human life, including relationships with oneself, others, and God. Given the breadth of the discussion on honesty, the author limits the discussion to the book of Proverbs, the person and teachings of Jesus, the writings of Paul, and the story of honesty in the life of Joseph. n the Bible, honesty is a highly emphasized moral value. Honesty is not merely about not lying, but also encompasses sincerity of heart, truthfulness in words and deeds, and integrity in all aspects of life. The Bible provides numerous examples and teachings about the importance of honesty, both in human relationships and in our relationship with God. Honesty is not only about avoiding lies, but also about doing what is right and according to God's will.

This article examines the concept of faith (iman) in the Qur'an through a semantic approach by comparing the views of Toshihiko Izutsu and al-Raghib al-Asfahani. Faith, as one of the main pillars of Islam, is an essential component reflecting a Muslim's profound belief in God and His teachings. Utilizing semantic analysis, this study aims to delve deeper into the meaning of faith and its contrasts with other concepts in the Qur'an, such as disbelief (kufr), which is often juxtaposed with faith. By exploring the differences between Izutsu's analytical and systematic approach and al-Asfahani's classical methodology, this study provides an in-depth perspective on the structure of faith's meaning and its theological context in Islam. The findings indicate that both Izutsu's and al-Asfahani's approaches offer significant contributions to a comprehensive understanding of faith, encompassing not only belief in the heart but also verbal expressions and actions that reflect such belief. In addition, this study also highlights the importance of a semantic approach in understanding religious texts to deconstruct a more comprehensive understanding of basic concepts in Islam.
