This study aims to analyze the use of social media as a means of regenerating Minangkabau traditional music among the younger generation through the role of traditional music content creators. The background of this research stems from the declining interest of young people in traditional music due to the dominance of popular culture and modernization. However, the emergence of content creators who utilize digital platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram has opened new opportunities for the preservation of traditional music. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation of several Minangkabau music content creators. The results show that social media plays a crucial role in the regeneration process of traditional music through three main functions: information (promotion), interaction, and motivation. By presenting engaging visuals, combining traditional music with modern elements, and encouraging interactive audience participation, social media effectively attracts young people to learn and appreciate traditional music. In addition, regeneration is the process of inheriting cultural values through efforts to maintain the sustainability of performing arts by adapting the presentation methods and performance spaces to suit the times, so that traditional arts remain acceptable to modern society.

This study aims to analyze gender representation in the L’Oréal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Oil advertisement using Sara Mills’ Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) approach. The advertisement functions not only as a promotional medium for hair-care products but also as a site of meaning production that shapes social constructions of beauty, women’s roles, and power relations within society. Through the visuals and narrative presented, women are portrayed as the central focus as well as symbols of ideal beauty, characterized by shiny hair, an elegant appearance, and a confident demeanor. The analysis shows that women in the advertisement are positioned primarily as visual objects, while the L’Oréal Paris brand takes the role of the subject that provides solutions to women’s problems—specifically damaged hair. The use of the iconic slogan “Because you’re worth it” constructs a discourse suggesting that women’s self-worth and personal value are closely tied to physical appearance, especially the condition of their hair. Thus, the advertisement not only delivers commercial messages but also carries ideological implications about beauty standards that women are expected to meet. This study concludes that advertising plays a crucial role in reproducing contemporary gender norms and influences how society interprets women’s identity and value through the visual representations it presents.

The purpose of this study is to analyse the comparison of sensory characteristics between original putu ayu cake and a variant with a 25% substitution of kale leaf flour. The substitution of kale leaf flour is expected to serve as a natural alternative for coloring while also improving the cake's nutritional value. This research utilized a quantitative experimental approach, involving organoleptic testing with 62 panelists from the Brangsong Baru Housing. The panelists evaluated four sensory aspects: aroma, color, taste, and texture. The results from the organoleptic tests showed that substituting kale leaf flour positively influenced the aroma of the putu ayu cake without compromising its texture. However, the color and taste still require improvements to enhance the overall consumer acceptance of the cake. These findings highlight the potential of kale leaf flour as a functional ingredient in traditional cakes, offering a healthier alternative while maintaining the sensory qualities that consumers expect.

This community service activity aims to strengthen the leadership capacity of youth and congregations at the Faithful Christian Church of Indonesia (GKSI) Ampadi, West Kalimantan, through empowerment programs and training based on spiritual values. The church as a faith community has a strategic responsibility in creating leadership regeneration, but the reality on the ground shows that youth involvement in ministry is still limited. This service activity was carried out with a participatory and qualitative descriptive approach, through stages of observation, literature study, spiritual leadership training, cross-generational mentoring, and direct assistance to participants. The results of the activity showed that the low participation of youth in GKSI Ampadi was caused by a lack of structural development, the dominance of the senior generation, and the absence of a clear cadre system. Through a Bible-based leadership training program, the formation of an inclusive ministry team, and ongoing mentoring, there was a significant increase in youth involvement and synergy between congregations. In addition, this activity produced a leadership cadre roadmap as a strategic guide for the church in developing human resources for ministry. This service activity not only had an impact on improving the quality of service and congregational activity, but also strengthened the process of sustainable leadership regeneration within the local church environment. It is hoped that this empowerment model can be applied contextually by other churches to build dynamic, inclusive, and contemporary service communities.

This community service activity was conducted in a Christian ministry institution located in Makassar City, South Sulawesi. The Student Creativity Program (PKM) was motivated by the reality that many people in Makassar have not yet known or believed in Isa Al-Masih (Jesus Christ )as Lord and Savior. As a city with a predominantly non-Christian population, evangelism in Makassar needs to be carried out contextually, wisely, and lovingly, without offending the beliefs of the surrounding community. The “PI 3 Saja” method (an acronym for Evangelism anytime, anywhere, and to anyone) serves as a relevant and effective strategy for reaching out to society. Through the 5P approach (Pertalian—Relationship, Peralihan—Transition, Penginsafan—Conviction, Pengabaran—Proclamation, and Penyelesaian—Commitment), this method emphasizes the importance of friendship, empathy, and naturally sharing the Gospel in everyday conversations. The purpose of this activity was to train participants in the institution to become contextual evangelists who can share the Good News without coercion, but rather through exemplary living and genuine friendship with others. The training and field practice results showed positive responses from the community, the formation of small discipleship groups (house churches), and an increased sense of courage and sensitivity among participants in sharing the Gospel in non-Christian environments. This activity demonstrates that evangelism can remain relevant and effective when it prioritizes love, relationships, and sensitivity to local culture.

Food waste generated from the household sector is one of the largest contributors to environmental degradation in Indonesia. Food waste generated from the household sector is one of the main contributors to the increasing volume of organic waste in Indonesia. This issue not only creates social and economic problems but also poses a serious threat to environmental sustainability. This study aims to analyze the contribution of household food waste to environmental degradation and to review sustainable management strategies. This study employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method guided by the PRISMA 2020 Statement to review relevant national research conducted during the period 2018-2025. The results of the literature selection show that the impacts of household food waste on environmental sustainability can be categorized into three main dimensions: (1) ecological impacts, including pollution and the increase of greenhouse gas emissions; (2) resource impacts, such as the wastage of energy, water, and land; and (3) social-environmental impacts, including the increasing burden of regional waste management and the declining quality of life for communities living near landfills. The findings emphasize that the management of household food waste plays a crucial role in achieving environmental sustainability, particularly in supporting the attainment of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 12, which focuses on responsible consumption and production. Therefore, it is necessary to implement strategies of reduction, reuse, and recycling of food waste at the household level to minimize the negative impacts on environmental sustainability in Indonesia.

The development of digital technology and the Internet of Things (IoT) has transformed the paradigm of urban development towards the concept of a smart city based on data and connectivity. This study analyzes the nature of smart cities through three dimensions of the philosophy of science: ontology, epistemology, and axiology. From an ontological perspective, a smart city is understood as a complex entity consisting of physical, digital, social, and ecological systems that interact with each other to create efficient and adaptive urban governance. Epistemologically, knowledge in a smart city is obtained through the process of collecting, processing, and analyzing data from various IoT devices, sensors, and citizen participation, thereby producing new insights that support evidence-based decision-making (data-driven governance). From an axiological perspective, a smart city has ethical values and goals to improve the quality of life of its citizens, strengthen government transparency, maintain environmental sustainability, and promote inclusive social participation. Thus, this study asserts that the development of a smart city is not only technological but also has a philosophical foundation oriented towards a balance between efficiency, humanity, and sustainability.

Background: Posterior tooth loss can impact masticatory function, aesthetics, and quality of life. Bridges are a restorative solution, but conventional pontic designs often make it difficult to maintain periodontal hygiene and health. Sanitary pontics offer a design that minimizes tissue contact, facilitates cleaning, and reduces plaque accumulation. Case report: A 23-year-old male patient lost his mandibular right first molar and sought to restore chewing function. After clinical and radiographic examinations, it was decided to restore the edentulous area of tooth 46 using a PFM bridge with a sanitary pontic design. Teeth 45 and 47 underwent abutment preparation, impressions, and fabrication of the bridge. Discussion: The sanitary pontic design has been shown to facilitate oral hygiene, especially under the pontic. The space between the pontic and the alveolar mucosa facilitates effective brushing or flossing, reducing plaque and the risk of gingival inflammation. PFM materials provide appropriate strength and durability for posterior restorations. Conclusion: A Porcelain Fused Metal (PFM) bridge with a sanitary pontic design is an effective restorative alternative for posterior tooth loss, improving hygiene and supporting long-term periodontal health.
