The Indonesian language curriculum in elementary schools is fundamental in fostering students’ literacy skills, particularly in reading and writing narrative texts such as fables. Despite its importance, students often encounter difficulties in understanding the structural elements of fables—namely, orientation, complication, resolution, and coda. These challenges are frequently exacerbated by variations in students’ readiness, interests, and learning profiles, which are not sufficiently addressed by conventional, one-size-fits-all teaching methods. This study adopts a qualitative library research approach to examine theoretical foundations and prior empirical studies related to differentiated instruction in the context of fable text learning. The findings suggest that differentiated instruction, by modifying content, process, product, and learning environment, effectively enhances students’ comprehension and performance in fable text structure. Furthermore, this approach aligns with the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum, which emphasizes learner-centered and inclusive education. Thus, differentiated instruction presents a promising pedagogical strategy for elementary school teachers in improving Indonesian language learning outcomes.

Accurate evaluation of head losses is essential in industrial systems transporting viscous chemical fluids, such as sodium hydroxide (NaOH), to ensure hydraulic efficiency and operational reliability, particularly in chlor alkali plants. This study analyses major and minor flow losses in the NaOH piping system at PT X Chlor Alkali Plant, Porsea, and evaluates the pipe design's hydraulic feasibility. After defining system parameters—including fluid properties, pipe geometry, and the number and type of fittings—technical calculations were conducted to assess flow profiles and pressure losses along two main pipe routes. A quantitative analysis using the Moody diagram and operational data reveals that minor losses dominate, contributing over 75% of total head loss in both routes. The total head loss remains within the pump's rated capacity (18 m), though with a narrow margin. A pipe diameter of 0.114 m produces a flow velocity of 0.79 m/s, aligning with recommended industrial standards for corrosive fluids. The use of Sch.80 stainless steel proves effective in minimizing frictional losses, particularly under turbulent flow conditions. These findings highlight the critical role of fitting configurations and material selection in optimizing chemical process piping systems.

The selection of appropriate solvents in sterile injection formulations plays a pivotal role in determining the stability, efficacy, and safety of pharmaceutical products. Among the commonly utilized solvents, Dimethyl Sulfoxide (DMSO), Polyethylene Glycol (PEG), and pyrogen-free water exhibit distinct physicochemical properties and functional roles. This study aims to analyze the characteristics, functions, and implications of these three solvents within the context of sterile injectable preparations. The research methodology involves a comprehensive review of six peer-reviewed scientific articles published within the last five years, focusing on solvent performance, compatibility, and safety profiles. Findings reveal that DMSO is highly effective in dissolving lipophilic compounds due to its strong solvating capacity. However, its use at elevated concentrations may lead to irritation and cytotoxicity, necessitating careful dosage regulation. PEG, particularly in its flexible molecular weight variants, serves as a co-solvent and viscosity modifier, enhancing solubility and stability of active pharmaceutical ingredients. Pyrogen-free water, characterized by its inertness and biocompatibility, remains the gold standard for injection solvents, offering minimal risk and broad applicability across drug classes. The study underscores the importance of aligning solvent selection with the physicochemical nature of the drug, intended route of administration, and patient safety considerations. Furthermore, the potential for combining solvents to achieve optimized formulations is highlighted as a promising avenue for future pharmaceutical development. Such combinations may offer enhanced solubility, reduced toxicity, and improved delivery mechanisms, particularly for complex or poorly soluble compounds. In conclusion, understanding the nuanced roles of DMSO, PEG, and pyrogen-free water is essential for formulating safe and effective sterile injections. This research contributes to the growing body of knowledge supporting rational solvent selection and encourages further exploration into innovative solvent systems for advanced drug delivery.

The development of the education curriculum in Indonesia reflects a paradigm shift in strengthening scientific literacy, which plays an important role in shaping critical thinking patterns and student analysis to face the challenges of the 21st century. This study aims to examine the development of the concept of scientific literacy in the Indonesian national curriculum policy from the era of the School Level Curriculum (KTSP), the 2013 Curriculum, to the Merdeka Curriculum. The study was conducted through a literature study method on 20 relevant scientific articles published in the period 2013 to 2025. The results of the study show that scientific literacy in the KTSP is still implicit, limited to contextual learning approaches and direct experience. In the 2013 Curriculum, strengthening scientific literacy began to be realized through a scientific approach that encouraged students to develop critical thinking skills, understand scientific concepts, and carry out scientific processes systematically. Further transformation is seen in the Merdeka Curriculum, where scientific literacy is not only focused on cognitive aspects, but is also linked to character values and contextual problem solving through strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile and project-based learning. In general, this study concludes that there is a paradigm shift from knowledge-oriented science literacy to holistic and applied science literacy. This finding emphasizes the importance of continuity between policy curriculum, teacher professional development, and implementation of strategies in the field to optimize students' achievement of science literacy.
