This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership style, work environment, and workload on employee performance at PT BFI Finance Indonesia Tbk, Semarang Branch, using the Job Demands–Resources (JD-R) Theory as its underlying framework. The JD-R model posits that employee performance and well-being depend on the balance between job demands and job resources. The research employed a quantitative explanatory approach involving 56 employees from the Central Operation division, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 21. The results reveal that leadership style and work environment have positive and significant effects on employee performance, while workload has a significant negative effect. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.673 indicates that the three variables collectively explain 67.3% of employee performance variation. Respondents perceived that communication and support from leaders were strong, and social relations in the workplace were positive, although workload and performance targets were considered relatively high. These findings reinforce the JD-R Theory (Bakker & Demerouti, 2017), showing that leadership and work environment function as job resources that enhance motivation and performance, whereas excessive workload represents job demands that may hinder employee outcomes if not properly managed. Practically, organizations in the financial services sector should maintain a balance between job demands and job resources to achieve sustainable employee performance improvement.

The background of this research stems from challenges in improving service quality, high workload, and the need to strengthen competency and retention among health workers. The study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method through the distribution of questionnaires, with data analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) through SmartPLS version 4.0. The population consists of 216 employees, and the sampling technique used is non-probability sampling, resulting in 140 respondents. The findings reveal that Innovative Work Behaviour, Work Ethic, and Intention to Stay have a significant positive effect on the performance of health workers. In addition, Innovative Work Behaviour and Work Ethic significantly influence Intention to Stay. However, Upskilling shows a positive but non-significant effect on both Intention to Stay and Performance, indicating that skill enhancement requires managerial support and motivation to contribute effectively to employee performance. Intention to Stay serves as a mediating variable in several relationships among the constructs. Strengthening innovative behaviour, work ethic, and competency development, accompanied by appropriate retention strategies, is essential for improving the performance of health workers in regional hospitals. Future studies are recommended to develop the research model by incorporating additional variables that may have stronger effects on Intention to Stay and Performance. Keywords: Innovative Work Behaviour; Upskilling, Work Ethic; Intention to Stay; Health Workers Performance

The development of digital technology has encouraged the government to modernize public services, including in the field of land affairs. Traditionally, land registration has been associated with long, complex procedures that are often prone to abuse of authority. To address these challenges, the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) has begun implementing a digital-based land registration system. However, its implementation raises an important question: is this digital system truly effective in improving the quality of services at the Land Office, or does it instead create new obstacles? This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of land registration digitalization, particularly in terms of accessibility, efficiency, transparency, and the challenges encountered during its implementation. The research employs an empirical juridical method with qualitative analysis. The juridical approach is used to examine the legal foundations of land registration digitalization, including Law No. 5 of 1960 on Basic Agrarian Principles, Government Regulation No. 24 of 1997 on Land Registration, and the Ministerial Regulation of ATR/BPN No. 1 of 2021 on Electronic Certificates. The empirical approach involves direct observation of service processes at the Land Office and interviews with employees and citizens utilizing digital services. The findings reveal that digitalization of land registration has generally improved the quality of services at the Land Office. Administrative processes have become faster, land data are stored more securely, and service transparency has increased, as the public can monitor the status of their registration online.

This study compares the effectiveness of MAUT (Multi-Attribute Utility Theory), SMART (Simple Multi-Attribute Rating Technique), and WASPAS (Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment) methods in a decision support system for determining the best employees at Sisilia Boutique. The quality of human resources is crucial in the retail business, but performance evaluation is often influenced by subjectivity. To address this, a multi-criteria-based decision support system is needed. MAUT translates preferences into a numerical scale, SMART calculates the average value of attributes based on weights, while WASPAS combines weighted summation (WSM) and weighted multiplication (WPM) for more balanced results. Employee performance data from Sisilia Boutique in June 2025, including attendance, store layout, customer service, and discipline, were used as the research object. The comparison results show consistency in the highest (K3) and lowest (K7) ratings across the three methods, with differences in the middle ratings. WASPAS offers a more balanced distribution of final scores, making it a comprehensive alternative for performance evaluation.

An employment relationship is a relationship between a worker and an employer or entrepreneur involving work, wages, and orders. One outcome of this employment relationship is termination of employment. To create a just and prosperous society based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution, the government has enacted laws concerning termination of employment, such as Law No. 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower, Law No. 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation, and Government Regulation No. 35 of 2021 concerning Fixed-Term Employment Agreements, Outsourcing, Working and Rest Hours, and Termination of Employment. This research uses a normative legal method, namely examining the law as it exists or should exist, or the law in books. The research was conducted by analyzing applicable laws and regulations, using library materials or secondary data covering primary, secondary, and tertiary law. Termination of employment is the right of both parties, namely workers and employers. Both parties can terminate the employment relationship according to their respective situations or conditions. This issue often generates debate because each party has different perspectives and arguments regarding termination of employment. As a result, the amount of compensation workers receive in practice also varies. Comparing Law No. 13 of 2003, Law No. 11 of 2020, and Government Regulation No. 35 of 2021 concerning termination of employment, it is clear that the Employee Rights Act No. 13 of 2003 provides more compensation than the Job Creation Law. Therefore, in practice, many companies, including PT Kuoni Indonesia, seek ways to reduce their compensation obligations under the pretext of negotiating with employees.
