This research aims to determine the professional competence of teachers on student learning achievement at Al-Ulum Terpadu Islamic Middle School, Medan. This research uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive method using a questionnaire as a data collection instrument. The population in this study was 32 teachers, so the sample size in this study was 32 teachers, because the population was less than 100, based on Suharsimi Arikunto's opinion, the entire population was used (population study). The main data collection technique uses a 5 Likert scale answer choice form. Data is analyzed using simple linear regression to test the research hypothesis. Based on the data processing carried out, statistical testing resulted in Ho being rejected and Ha being accepted, which explains that there is an influence of teacher professional competence on student learning achievement. This is obtained from the results of the F test which shows Fcount is 19.072 and Ftable = (k-1; nk) namely (2-1; 32-2) = (1;30) = 4.17, so the value of Fcount > Ftable is 19.072 > 4.17 with a sig value. 0.001 < 0.05 which means there is an influence of teacher professional competence on student learning achievement in the F statistical significance test. Apart from that, a simple linear regression test was carried out to obtain the regression equation Y' = 105.683 – 1.44 1.44. However, if the teacher's professional competency value is 105.683 when X is 0, then student learning achievement will decrease by 0.144 for every one unit increase in %. Meanwhile, the remaining 61.1% is explained by other variables not studied.

The research method used is a quantitative research method with a correlational type. This research used a total sampling technique with a sample size of all educators and education staff totaling 37. The research instrument for this research was a questionnaire consisting of 25 statements for each variable.  The results of hypothesis testing show that the completion of the principal’s duties has an influence on teacher work motivation of 0.149 x 100% = 14.9%. Through the t test that has been carried out, it turns out that the t count = 4.709 while the t table value = 2.042. Because t count (4.709) > t table (2.042), this shows that there is a positive and significant contribution between the principal’s task completion variable and teacher work motivation at Pahlawan National Middle School in Medan in the form of a linear and predictive relationship via a regression line Ŷ = 126.564 + 0.855 X.

At the planning stage, the teacher has included character values in the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) as part of the learning objectives. While in its implementation, internalization of character values is carried out in stages starting from the opening, core, to closing activities of learning, with the aim of forming the character of students. The teacher also provides stimulus in the form of interactions that support character formation during the learning process. In its implementation, the teacher uses various methods such as lectures, discussions, demonstrations, and questions and answers, and applies a scientific approach to encourage student activity, so that character values can be more easily embedded. The factors that influence the integration of character values are divided into two, namely supporting and inhibiting factors. Climate change presents a significant global challenge that requires urgent and comprehensive action to mitigate its adverse effects on ecosystems, society, and the economy. Islamic jurisprudence, with its rich ethical framework, offers valuable insights into environmental justice, presenting a Sharia-informed approach to climate change mitigation. This study explores how principles of Sharia, such as Hifz al-Bi'ah (protection of the environment), Amanah (trust), and Isrāf (prohibition of wastefulness), can form a robust foundation for addressing environmental issues. Islamic law emphasizes the responsibility of humans as stewards of the Earth, encouraging sustainable resource management and the prevention of environmental degradation. The study further discusses how Sharia provides a proactive approach to environmental justice, focusing on prevention rather than simply reacting to environmental damage. Additionally, it explores how Islamic principles align with international environmental frameworks, offering a holistic approach to climate justice that respects both local traditions and global imperatives. The findings highlight the potential for integrating Sharia-based principles into contemporary environmental policies, particularly in Muslim-majority regions, where these values can enhance the legitimacy and effectiveness of climate change mitigation efforts. The paper concludes with recommendations for further research on the practical integration of Sharia principles into global climate policies and calls for collaboration among Islamic scholars, legal experts, and environmentalists to develop actionable, Sharia-based environmental policies that contribute to global climate action.

This paper explores the contributions of classical Islamic philosophy of science to the modern interdisciplinary research landscape. The study focuses on how key philosophical principles such as the concept of ‘ilm al-tawḥīdī (unity of knowledge) and the integration of ethics and spirituality can enhance contemporary research methodologies. Islamic philosophy advocates for a holistic approach that bridges the gap between empirical science and metaphysical insights, promoting a unified view of knowledge that incorporates not only rational and empirical elements but also ethical and spiritual dimensions. The paper discusses how Islamic ethical frameworks, such as Adab al-‘ilm (ethics of knowledge), can influence modern research by emphasizing responsibility, integrity, and the interconnectedness of all forms of knowledge. Additionally, the study highlights the potential for integrating Islamic epistemology into interdisciplinary research, fostering more inclusive, responsible, and ethically grounded scientific practices. The integration of both Islamic and secular research models is proposed as a way to create a more robust and sustainable research framework that values both scientific rigor and ethical responsibility. The paper also addresses the challenges of reconciling Islamic principles with secular academic frameworks, suggesting future research avenues to develop systematic methodologies that integrate Islamic ethical and epistemological values with modern scientific practices. In conclusion, the paper emphasizes the importance of incorporating both spiritual and empirical insights in modern research to address complex global challenges in a more comprehensive and ethically grounded manner.

The integration of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency within the framework of Islamic finance has raised significant ethical, legal, and regulatory concerns. Blockchain technology, known for its transparency, decentralization, and immutability, offers a promising solution for enhancing financial inclusion, transparency, and security in financial transactions. However, the use of cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, introduces complexities due to their speculative nature, which may violate Sharia principles like gharar (excessive uncertainty) and riba (usury). This study explores the compatibility of blockchain and cryptocurrency with Sharia law, focusing on the challenges and opportunities that arise in the context of Islamic finance. The study analyzes existing fatwas (Islamic legal opinions), regulatory frameworks, and the application of Sharia principles to emerging financial technologies. It discusses the ethical dimensions of blockchain and cryptocurrency, such as their potential to promote fairness and transparency, while addressing concerns about privacy violations and the risks associated with unregulated trading. Furthermore, the research highlights the lack of standardized global regulations for cryptocurrency and blockchain, which complicates their adoption in Muslim-majority countries. The study also emphasizes the importance of establishing Sharia-compliant governance frameworks and regulatory standards to ensure the ethical use of these technologies. Finally, the study provides recommendations for further research in the intersection of Islamic law, digital finance, and global governance frameworks, focusing on the development of policies that ensure Sharia-compliant digital assets and technologies.

The method used in research studies in this thesis is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used in this research are: observation, interviews, documentation. The results of the research concluded that the problems with the literacy program in Islamic Religious Education that occurred at SMAN 02, Kapur IX District for the 2023/2024 class It was shown in interviews that there was a lack of motivation given by teachers to students when implementing literacy. Teachers also do not focus too much on implementing literacy because teachers consider literacy as additional learning and students' interest in literacy is still low. The contributing factor to the problem of implementing literacy in Islamic religious education subjects at SMAN 02, Kapur IX sub-district is that the school principal has informed the students' parents that they will be facilitated to support literacy activities, giving teachers encouragement to supervise literacy activities. The inhibiting factors are the lack of non-textbooks in schools and students' feelings of laziness.
