This study aims to examine the motivation to learn Arabic among students who graduated from "non-pesantren" at the Al-Amien Islamic Institute (IDIA) Prenduan. The main focus of this study is to understand the factors that encourage and inhibit the motivation to learn Arabic for students who do not have a pesantren educational background. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach, where data is collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that students who graduated from non-pesantren have individual strategies in fostering motivation to learn Arabic, namely: starting with buying a vocabulary book, listening to Arabic conversations around them, bringing a dictionary, asking questions often, listening to Arabic songs, consistently memorizing vocabulary, reflecting on seniors and classmates who are proficient in Arabic, reducing sleep time, understanding their subjects. Motivation to learn Arabic among students who graduated from non-pesantren is influenced by intrinsic factors such as personal interests, academic goals, and support from the social and academic environment. These findings are expected to contribute to the development of more effective learning strategies to increase motivation to learn Arabic among students with diverse educational backgrounds.

Basically, God created His creatures perfectly. On the other hand, it turns out that God also created humans who do not have five senses, or incomplete body functions, such as the blind, deaf, physically disabled, even mentally disabled so that they have limitations in carrying out daily activities and are often considered different from others. A person who has physical or mental limitations due to illness or injury is called a disability. Being a person with a disability not only affects the person themselves, but often their families, especially their parents. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of pastoral care for parents who have children with disabilities. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. The population and sample of this study were parents, namely the father and mother of a child with disabilities in Pamalian village, Sorkam sub-district, Central Tapanuli district. This study aims to improve proficiency in four English language skills—reading, listening, writing, and speaking—by utilizing the English Whisper game method in English learning. It employs a descriptive qualitative approach, emphasizing observation and the evaluation of student performance throughout the learning process. Data were gathered through direct observation of students' ability to comprehend and communicate information using this game-based method. The research findings indicate that the English Whisper method is effective in improving students' abilities in all four English language skills. In the reading aspect, students demonstrated better comprehension and translation of given sentences. In listening, there was an improvement in understanding orally delivered messages. In writing, students were able to reproduce the sentences they heard more accurately. Meanwhile, in speaking, students became more confident in expressing sentences orally. Besides enhancing language skills, the English Whisper method also creates a more enjoyable, interactive learning environment and motivates students to participate actively in the learning process. Thus, this method can serve as an innovative and engaging learning alternative to improve English language proficiency in the classroom.

Listening comprehension is essential in higher education, particularly as students progress from basic intensive listening activities to more complex academic listening tasks. This review examines the strategies learners employ during this transition and identifies effective approaches for improving listening comprehension in University contexts. Drawing on recent research and empirical evidence, the review highlights key techniques such as metacognitive strategies, note-taking, schema activation, and contextual listening, which are crucial for academic success. The findings suggest that while intensive listening fosters foundational skills, academic listening demands advanced strategies, including critical evaluation, synthesizing information, and adapting to different accents and contexts. The review emphasizes the importance of instructional support, such as teaching explicit strategies and incorporating authentic materials, to help students navigate this shift. Educators are encouraged to create scaffolded learning experiences and foster student autonomy. This study contributes to the expanding body of knowledge on EFL and ESL education, providing useful guidance for curriculum developers and educators aiming to improve students' listening skills in higher education.

The study uses a qualitative approach to analyse how these technologies bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical communication. The study focuses on tools such as interactive chatbots, speech recognition systems, assistive technologies, virtual assistants, and language learning platforms. These tools align with the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) for Languages 2020 and Sustainable Development Goals 4 (SDG 4), highlighting their potential to promote inclusive and equitable language education. The study analyses how AI and digital tools contribute to Arabic learning and enhance communicative competence rather than involving testing or experiments. The findings suggest that these technologies offer significant potential for improving language proficiency and addressing diverse learners' needs.

This study aims to determine the effect of using the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) learning model on the listening skills of fifth-grade students. The research was conducted in classes VB and VC at UPT SDN 015 Sumber Sari, involving a total of 62 students, during the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year, specifically in July 2024. The study utilized a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design, involving two classes: VC as the experimental class with 32 students and VB as the control class with 30 students. In the experimental class, learning was conducted using the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) model, while in the control class, conventional teaching methods were applied. Students' listening skills were assessed through pretests and posttests in audio format, each consisting of 20 questions. The data collected were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing through the SPSS 24 application. The results showed that hypothesis testing using the t-test produced a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. These findings suggest a significant effect of applying the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) learning model on students' listening skills. This improvement was evident from the average posttest scores, with the experimental class achieving an average of 83.48, higher than the control class's average of 71.74. Thus, this study confirms that the use of the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) model is effective in enhancing the listening skills of fifth-grade elementary school students.

This research aims to analyze the impact of using audiovisual media on improving the Arabic listening skills (maharatul istima') of class X students at MA Al- Maghfiroh. The method used was an experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample consisted of two groups, namely the experimental class which used audiovisual media in the form of animated videos and the control class which used regular audio media. The research instrument has been tested for validity and reliability, with 18 of the 20 instrument items declared valid and a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.823. Data were analyzed through normality tests, homogeneity tests, t-tests, and N-Gain calculations. The results showed that the average posttest score for the experimental class (81.20) was higher than the control class (70.50). The N-Gain value for the experimental class is 0.55 (medium category), while for the control class it is 0.38 (medium category). The t-test shows that there is a significant difference between the two groups, with the calculated t value (2.410) greater than the t table (2.080) and a significance of 0.020. These findings indicate that the use of audiovisual media, especially animated videos, is significantly more effective in improving students' listening skills compared to regular audio media. These results recommend the application of audiovisual media in Arabic language learning to support the improvement of istima skills.
