This community service program aimed to promote a community-based environmental care movement through the planting of productive trees in Meunasah Panggoi Village, Muara Dua District, Lhokseumawe City. The program was implemented over four weeks using a Community-Based Participatory (CBP) approach, actively involving local residents in the planning, observation, seedling procurement, tree planting, and initial maintenance stages. The observation results indicated that vegetation cover in the village was still limited, highlighting the need for sustainable greening efforts. A total of 25 productive trees, including mango, longan, coconut, guava, and avocado, were successfully planted at several strategic locations. The activity involved village officials, youth groups, and community members, thereby strengthening public participation in environmental conservation. The program not only increased vegetation cover but also reinforced the spirit of mutual cooperation, enhanced collective awareness of environmental preservation, and encouraged the productive use of available land. The productive trees are expected to provide long-term ecological, social, and economic benefits by improving environmental quality and generating harvests that can be utilized by the community. Therefore, community-based greening represents an effective strategy for supporting sustainable environmental development at the village level.

Poverty is a multidimensional problem that remains a major development challenge in Central Tapanuli Regency. Growth in Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), increased realization of Foreign Direct Investment (PMA) and Domestic Direct Investment (PMDN), and zakat collection should be important instruments in reducing poverty rates. However, data from 2019–2023 shows a discrepancy, where the growth in these macroeconomic and social indicators is not accompanied by a decrease in the number of poor people. This study aims to analyze the influence of zakat, GRDP, PMA, and PMDN on poverty levels in Central Tapanuli Regency. The research method used is qualitative descriptive analysis with secondary data from BPS, BAZNAS, and BKPM as well as interviews with relevant parties. The results show that zakat does contribute to alleviating the burden on mustahik, but its role is still limited because the majority of distribution is consumptive. GRDP increased from Rp9.95 trillion in 2019 to Rp13.67 trillion in 2023, but the resulting economic growth is not yet inclusive. Foreign direct investment (FDI) tends to be oriented towards large capital with limited labor absorption, while domestic direct investment (PMDN) is closer to local needs but still less than optimal in poverty alleviation. Overall, the increase in zakat, GRDP, FDI, and PMDN has not been able to reduce the poverty rate, which actually increased from 376,474 people in 2019 to 489,760 people in 2023. Thus, a more inclusive development strategy, optimization of productive zakat, and investment policies that favor labor-intensive sectors and MSMEs are needed so that economic growth truly impacts poverty reduction.

This study examines the legal implications of the regulation of foreign investment (FDI) and domestic investment within the Indonesian legal system, as well as its relation to national economic sovereignty. The background of this research is rooted in the need of developing countries, including Indonesia, to attract investment in order to promote economic growth while still safeguarding national interests as mandated by the constitution. This research employs a normative juridical method with statutory and conceptual approaches. The results show that although foreign and domestic investments are regulated under a single legal framework through Law Number 25 of 2007, there are significant differences in terms of legal subjects, business entities, as well as ownership and sectoral restrictions. These differences do not constitute discrimination, but rather reflect the state’s protective legal policy. On the other hand, foreign investment brings positive impacts such as capital inflow, technology transfer, and market expansion. However, it also poses potential risks, including economic dependency and reduced policy autonomy. Therefore, a balance between investment openness and regulatory control is necessary to ensure that economic sovereignty is maintained and the benefits of investment can be optimally realized for society.

This paper focuses on a legal review of foreign investment regulations in Indonesia, a crucial aspect that underpins most of the discussion. Furthermore, it frequently highlights the implications of legal regulations on investment, including foreign investment, in several related regulations, such as the Job Creation Law and the Investment Law, for market volatility, corporate governance, and stock prices in Indonesia. This paper emphasizes a normative-empirical context, focusing on a review of capital market investment regulations and secondary analyses conducted through several journals reporting on the effectiveness of foreign investment for local companies, enhancing their image as local companies, a trend inevitably driven by local interests. This is further supported by the use of various important theories, such as foreign investment theory, the legal framework for foreign investment, stock performance theory, and efficient investment, as crucial theoretical considerations in the discussion. The point of the results of the discussion in this writing is then emphasized on its focus, namely the results of the review of the legal regulations regarding capital markets that include foreign capital markets, which also discusses the results of research reports from various journals related to the implications of foreign investment regulations as well as the challenges and discussions of harmonization regarding existing investment regulations in Indonesia.

Presidential Regulation Number 10 of 2021 on Investment Business Fields introduces a fundamental transformation in Indonesia’s investment regulatory regime by replacing the previous negative list approach with a positive list system. This regulatory shift significantly affects the structure of investment liberalization, particularly in the industrial sector, which serves as the backbone of the national economy. This study aims to analyze the regulatory changes introduced by Presidential Regulation 10/2021 and examine their juridical and practical implications for the investment climate and industrial business actors. Using a normative juridical method through the analysis of legislation, policy documents, and academic literature, this research finds that the regulation enhances investment openness, expands foreign ownership, simplifies risk-based licensing, and strengthens legal certainty through the classification of priority business fields, mandatory partnerships with cooperatives/MSMEs, and conditioned business categories. However, its implementation still faces challenges, including the harmonization of sectoral regulations, regulatory–political dynamics, and the government’s supervisory capacity. Overall, Presidential Regulation 10/2021 has the potential to strengthen the attractiveness of the industrial sector and its integration into global value chains, yet its effectiveness strongly depends on consistent implementation and cross-sector policy alignment.   Keywords: Presidential Regulation 10/2021, investment regulation, investment liberalization, industrial sector, investment policy.

Abstract: Padukuhan Karangrejek, Karangtengah, Imogiri, Bantul, is a sloping area prone to landslides due to high rainfall, soil erosion, and vegetation degradation. Landslides often threaten the safety of residents, damage infrastructure, and disrupt the sustainability of the local environment and economy. This study aims to apply bioengineering through the planting of slope-stabilizing plants to improve slope resistance to landslides using an environmentally friendly and sustainable nature-based approach. The methods included surveying planting locations, preparing planting holes, making tree marker boards, and participatory phased planting with the community. The types of plants used were Munggur, Soursop, Jackfruit, and Teak, which have strong root systems to strengthen soil structure and reduce erosion. The results showed an increase in soil cohesion through root penetration, a reduction in rainwater runoff, suppression of erosion, and a decrease in the risk of subsequent landslides. The positive impacts included increased soil water retention, improved soil fertility, community empowerment in disaster management, and economic added value from fruit and timber crops. Conclusion The application of bioengineering with Munggur, Soursop, Jackfruit, and Teak trees is an effective, inexpensive, and sustainable solution for landslide mitigation in Karangrejek Hamlet. Recommendations include monitoring growth periodically, expanding planting to other slopes, and integrating the program into the village's disaster resilience plan for long-term sustainability.

The Pious Children Festival is a collaborative work program implemented by students (KKN) of Batang Hari Islamic University in Jelutih Village, Batin XXIV District. This activity aims to instill religious values and strengthen children's self-confidence from an early age. A pious child is defined as an individual who consistently behaves well, possesses strong faith, and is devout in practicing Islamic teachings. The objectives of the Pious Children Festival include: (1) increasing children's enthusiasm for studying Islamic teachings, (2) developing children's interests and talents in religious matters, and (3) fostering children's self-confidence in showcasing their abilities. This activity is packaged in the form of religious competitions that include the call to prayer (adhan), memorization of short surahs (chapters), daily prayers, Qur'an recitation, and an Islamic fashion show. Participants from the PAUD (Early Childhood Education), Kindergarten (TK), and RA (Islamic Elementary School) levels take part. The implementation method involves several stages: analyzing the needs of early childhood children, planning activities, implementing programs, and evaluating and following up on the results. The results of the Pious Children Festival demonstrated an increased enthusiasm among the children of Jelutih Village for learning about Islam. Furthermore, this activity also had a positive impact on increasing the children's courage and confidence in showcasing their religious talents. This was evident in the changes in the attitudes of several boys who previously lacked confidence in performing the call to prayer, but after participating in this activity, became more courageous and confident.
