This study discusses the role of Islamic educational philosophy in guiding the transformation of pesantren education in the modern era. Islamic education in Indonesia plays an important role in shaping students’ character, spirituality, and intellectual abilities, with pesantren as one of the oldest institutions that preserve Islamic values. However, the rapid development of globalization and technology requires pesantren to adapt without losing their identity. This research aims to explain how Islamic educational philosophy becomes the foundation for transformation and to identify forms of change that are relevant to current challenges. The study uses a qualitative approach through a literature review, collecting data from journals and other relevant sources. Data are analyzed using content analysis by organizing and comparing findings from different studies. The results show that pesantren transformation occurs through a selective adaptation process, combining traditional values such as moral education, spirituality, and classical learning with modern elements like curriculum integration, interactive learning methods, and digital technology. Some challenges still exist, including limited facilities, unequal access to technology, and the need to improve teacher competence. Islamic educational philosophy helps maintain balance between intellectual, spiritual, and moral aspects so that modernization does not eliminate pesantren identity.

The Qiroati method is an instructional approach to reading the Qur’an that emphasizes direct practice of tartil recitation in accordance with the rules of tajwid. This method is practical, systematic, and implemented gradually, meaning that learners are not allowed to proceed to the next level before achieving fluency at the current stage. One of the main challenges in learning to read and memorize the Qur’an is the limited use of structured teaching methods, as some teachers still rely primarily on personal experience and conventional reading approaches. This condition contributes to students’ lack of fluency in reading and memorizing the Qur’an, as well as decreased learning motivation due to monotonous and less effective instructional practices. This study aims to examine the implementation of the Qiroati method in improving students’ Qur’anic reading ability within the Tahfidzul Qur’an program at SMP Daruttaqwa Full Day School. The findings are expected to provide useful insights for educators and contribute to academic knowledge. This research employs a field research design with a descriptive qualitative approach, focusing on describing the application of the Qiroati method in enhancing students’ reading ability in relation to Qur’an memorization. Data were collected through interviews, tests, and documentation, while data analysis involved data collection, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the implementation of the Qiroati method effectively improves students’ ability to read the Qur’an in the Tahfidzul Qur’an program. This is evidenced by the improvement in students’ reading scores compared to their previous performance. In practice, the method involves teachers modeling correct recitation, followed by students reading collectively. Therefore, the Qiroati method not only enhances students’ accuracy in reading the Qur’an but also fosters a more engaging and effective learning environment.

This study employs a literature review method to examine the concepts, processes, and originality of scientific work based on academic theories and established scholarly standards. The findings indicate that writing scientific papers is not merely an academic requirement but also a reflection of logical, objective, and ethical thinking. A high-quality scientific work must demonstrate originality, intellectual honesty, and the proper application of scientific methods—from problem formulation and data collection to analysis and conclusion. In addition, scientific writing should contribute to the development of knowledge and offer solutions to current issues in society. Therefore, higher education institutions need to strengthen students’ scientific literacy, academic writing skills, and understanding of research ethics. This research stems from the urgency of the role of public relations in Islamic educational institutions, particularly madrasas, which is increasingly complex and strategic in the current digital and information era. Public relations is not only tasked with disseminating information but also with building an image, maintaining public trust, and managing effective communication between the madrasa and various stakeholders such as students, parents, teachers, and the wider community. This study aims to identify and analyze the application of ethics and professionalism in public relations at SMP Plus Darus Sholah in Jember and its impact on the institution's image and public trust. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The findings indicate that the application of Islamic ethical values—such as shiddiq (honesty), amanah (trustworthiness), and tabligh (transparency)—in public relations practices significantly enhances the madrasa's credibility and public trust. Additionally, the professionalism of public relations officers, characterized by structured communication planning and interpersonal ethics, plays a crucial role in building a positive institutional image. However, challenges such as a lack of formal training and understanding of ethical standards remain. The implications of this study highlight the need for policy recommendations to enhance the capacity and integrity of public relations personnel in Islamic educational institutions to support their role as the forefront of institutional communication.

Moral and social education in Islam plays a crucial role in shaping children's character, developing noble character and social responsibility. In this context, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) serves as a prime role model, whose behavior and sayings provide comprehensive guidance for the development of character values. This study aims to analyze authentic hadiths depicting the Prophet's interactions with children to uncover key moral and social values that can be integrated into contemporary Islamic education. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with thematic analysis techniques. Data were collected from relevant authentic hadith literature and then analyzed to identify moral values such as honesty, compassion, justice, empathy, and respect for children's rights. The analysis also considered the historical and social context of the hadiths, allowing interpretations of the values to be tailored to current educational needs. The results show that the Prophet Muhammad taught moral and social principles not only through verbal statements but also through concrete examples in his daily life. For example, he demonstrated gentleness toward children, respected their opinions, appreciated good behavior, and reprimanded them wisely when mistakes occurred. This approach creates an educational pattern that is not authoritarian, but rather builds positive emotional bonds between educators and students. These findings emphasize the relevance of prophetic values in shaping character education in the modern era, which often faces challenges of morality and the degradation of social values. Integrating these values into the curriculum and educational practices in schools and families is expected to produce individuals who are not only intellectually intelligent but also possess high moral integrity and social sensitivity.

In the digital era and the Industrial Revolution 4.0 towards Society 5.0, innovation becomes crucial, but many young people are still trapped in consuming information immediately without sufficient analytical skills. The absence of a culture of literacy and reading causes innovation that is only based on imitation. The initial message of Islam "Iqra' wa rabbukal-akram" (Read, and your Lord is Most Gracious) provides a solution, emphasizing that reading is the key to gaining knowledge, broadening your views, and developing critical thinking. Reading includes observing nature, social phenomena, and the signs of God's power, which require reflective thinking. The history of Islamic civilization shows progress triggered by the spirit of "iqra'," which gave birth to famous scholars such as Ibn Sina and Al-Khawarizmi. In the current era of globalization and technological challenges, these values are becoming increasingly crucial. Al-'Alaq 3 serves as an eternal call to develop critical thinking as a moral and spiritual responsibility, linking contemporary innovation with the ability to read critically. This article is intended to analyze QS. Al-'Alaq 3 as the basis of critical thinking in Islam, encourages scientific research and creative expression of gratitude. This study applies qualitative literature methods, which combine Islamic literature and contemporary critical thinking.

The contribution of Abû Dâwûd Sulaimân Bin Najâh (413-496 H) in the rules of Rasm Usmani and the Publication of the Mushaf of the Qur ́an was enormous. Although in writing the rules of Rasm Usmani there are many differences, the contribution of Abû Dâwûd has its own distinctive rules in his school, and that is what is characteristic in his rasm book, namely at-Tanzîl. Then the question becomes what is the contribution of the rasm rule that Abû Dâwûd used in the publication of the mushaf-mushaf of the Qur ́an with various qiraats, which is what makes it a reference to the rules in the book of at-Tanzîl. Therefore, in this study the author will examine the book of at-Tanzîl in more depth, and this research will use a historical approach, then the author will examine further related to the rasm rules used as a reference by Abû Dâwûd in the book of at-Tanzîl and the author will explain the contribution and contribution of Abû Dâwûd in the publication of the current mushaf with the rasm rules he uses. The conclusion of the research that the author conducted is that Imam Abû Dâwûd clings to the mushaf of medina and his scholars, also explains more broadly and at length covering the science of rasm, and explains the rules in detail by discussing them starting from verse by verse in sequence. And the Qur ́an that is widespread throughout the world today is a clear proof of the magnitude of Abû Dâwûd's contribution because many countries use the rasm rules chosen by Abû Dâwûd in the writing of the current mushaf.

The learning process of students can be assessed through evaluation methods. The purpose of this evaluation is to assess learning outcomes as well as to evaluate the learning process. The concept of learning evaluation involves the control, assurance, and establishment of learning quality for all components at various levels and pathways of education, which is the responsibility of educational management. Assessment is the process of using various methods and tools to collect information about specific learning outcomes. Measurement, in English, refers to an action taken to adjust something. The basic way of measuring is by comparing something to a certain standard. Educators provide a series of tasks or questions to students to gauge their understanding and reach an agreement between students and teachers regarding the taught material, in line with current learning objectives, commonly referred to as tests. Therefore, it can be concluded from the table that tests are a benchmark for success in delivering education through educational assessment.

Method is the most important element in the Islamic education learning process. Because methods are among the determining factors for the success or failure of education and learning. And it would be good if the learning methods were appropriate and relevant to the needs and conditions of students in the learning process. The output in Islamic education is the confirmation that students must have the ability to understand, believe and practice Islamic teachings as a concrete result of the learning process. And to make this happen, learning methods in Islamic education must be based on primary sources, namely the Koran and the Hadith of the Prophet SAW which have been tested for validity with current developments. Islamic education learning methods that can be applied according to the perspective of the Qur'an and Hadith include: the method of bil hikmah, example, stories, ibrah or mau'izah, habituation or habituation, parables, punishment and reward, lectures, discussions or dialogue and jidal or debate, question and answer, demonstration, and practice or repetition. In essence, the Qur'an or Hadith is a solution in the process of human life that must be studied and understood in order to achieve its essence in living human nature as a servant of Allah SWT.
