This study aims to examine the traces of acculturation between Islam and local culture in Margorejo Village, Kerek District, Tuban Regency. The research is based on the understanding that the spread of Islam in Indonesia occurred peacefully, persuasively, and adaptively, allowing Islamic teachings to interact harmoniously with local traditions without eliminating existing cultural identities. This process produced forms of religious culture that combine Islamic values with local customs and continue to be preserved by the community. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews with religious leaders, community leaders, and local residents, as well as documentation of religious and social traditions. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that acculturation is reflected in the tradition of pilgrimage to the tomb of Sheikh Ahmad Subaqir or Mbah Mboja, who is regarded as an important figure in spreading Islam in the region. The pilgrimage serves not only as a spiritual activity but also as a means of strengthening social solidarity. Another form of acculturation appears in the “sedekah bumi” or “manganan” tradition, which expresses gratitude for agricultural harvests and community welfare. The study concludes that Islam and local culture in Margorejo coexist harmoniously and contribute to strengthening religiosity, social solidarity, and cultural preservation.

This article examines the digitalization of Islamic education management in the Industry 5.0 era by emphasizing a shift from mere “digital administration” to value-based governance. The focus goes beyond adopting applications; it highlights a deeper transformation in how institutions manage processes, data, services, and decision-making to enhance effectiveness, accountability, and alignment with the broader purposes of Islamic education. The article synthesizes key pillars of transformation, including system integration across academic, financial, and learning services, strengthened data governance, capacity building for human resources, and cultural change management. While digitalization may improve efficiency and transparency, the article also discusses recurring risks such as digital divides, organizational resistance, vendor dependency, and ethical/privacy concerns, along with practical mitigation strategies. This study aims to analyze human resource management (HRM) based on Islamic boarding school values in strengthening educator professionalism and sustaining academic performance at MA Al-Amiriyyah Blokagung. The study focuses on the process of internalizing Islamic boarding school values in HRM policies and practices and their implications for educator professionalism and the sustainability of the institution's academic quality. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with madrasah leaders and educators, observations of institutional practices, and documentation studies of policies and human resource development programs. Data analysis was conducted thematically through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that Islamic boarding school values such as sincerity, service, discipline, exemplary behavior, and moral responsibility have been internalized normatively and practically in HRM policies, particularly in aspects of human resource planning, recruitment, coaching, and evaluation of educator performance. These values shape educator professionalism that is not only based on pedagogical competence, but also an ethos of devotion and moral integrity. The human resource development and coaching system contributes to maintaining work motivation and consistent academic performance among educators. However, the internalization of Islamic boarding school values still tends to be cultural and person-centered, and has not been fully institutionalized in written policies, standard procedures, and long-term strategic planning. Therefore, its sustainability remains dependent on leadership figures. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of strengthening the institutionalization of Islamic boarding school value-based human resource management (HRM) through formal policies, a sustainable human resource development system, and systematic managerial governance to ensure the sustainable maintenance of educator professionalism and the institution's academic performance.

This research examines the comparison of Islamic education innovations in Japan and Singapore with a focus on technological approaches and local cultural integration. Japan and Singapore are two developed countries in Asia that have developed Islamic education systems with unique characteristics despite not being Muslim-majority countries. This study uses a qualitative method with a library research approach through document and literature analysis. Data were collected from scientific journals, books, and educational policy documents in both countries. The results show that Japan develops Islamic education with an adaptive approach that integrates digital technology and Japanese cultural values such as discipline and kaizen. Meanwhile, Singapore builds a structured Islamic education system integrated with the national education system through MUIS with innovations in the aL.I.V.E curriculum and SIES. The main difference lies in the level of institutionalization and government support, where Singapore has a more formal structure while Japan is more flexible and community-based. Both models provide valuable lessons for the development of Islamic education in Indonesia, particularly in terms of technology integration, local cultural adaptation, and contextual curriculum development.

Religious gaslighting is a form of psychological manipulation that uses religious authority and teachings to question or doubt a person's perceptions, emotions, and experiences, so that the victim feels guilty or unfaithful. In the context of the Muslim community, this practice can occur when religious understanding is used narrowly and authoritarianly, suppressing freedom of thought, and perpetuating power imbalances—both in family relationships, communities, and religious institutions. This article examines the phenomenon of religious gaslighting from the perspective of critical Islamic education, with the aim of dismantling manipulative patterns wrapped in religious narratives. The approach used is qualitative-descriptive with literature analysis of classical and contemporary Islamic sources, as well as interdisciplinary studies in the fields of religious psychology and educational philosophy. The results of the study show that religious gaslighting is not only a matter of individual morals, but also part of an authoritarian social and cultural structure that needs to be countered through liberating (ta'dib) and transformative Islamic education. Islamic education based on the values of justice (al-‘adl), compassion (rahmah), and deliberation can be a critical tool for building a healthy spiritual awareness and freeing people from the shackles of manipulative authority. Thus, education has a central role in forming a generation of Muslims who are able to distinguish between the authenticity of Islamic teachings and their misuse in the practice of power.
