Local food innovation is not only focused on product development but also requires effective communication strategies to build positive perceptions and enhance market competitiveness. This study aims to analyze the implementation of innovation communication strategies by micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in developing papaya-based chili chips as a flagship product in Nagori Karang Anyar, Gunung Maligas District, Simalungun Regency. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, focusing on the product innovation process, marketing communication patterns, and efforts to build product image amid competition in the local food industry. The findings indicate that innovation communication strategies play a crucial role in creating product differentiation through narratives of unique taste, utilization of local raw materials, and promotional strategies combining traditional methods and digital media. Papaya chili chips are positioned as a product that blends distinctive local flavors with a modern touch, attracting consumer interest and increasing the added value of papaya as a local commodity. This study emphasizes that the success of local food innovation depends not only on product quality but also on the ability of MSMEs to manage adaptive and persuasive communication strategies.

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in driving local economic development, particularly in rural areas that rely on the utilization of local natural resources. However, many MSMEs still face challenges in marketing aspects, especially limited use of digital technology, weak branding, and unattractive product packaging. This community service activity aims to strengthen the marketing strategy of the “Nek Surati” cassava chips MSME located in Dolok Village, Nagori Boluk, Bosar Maligas District, Simalungun Regency. The methods employed include field observations, interviews with MSME actors, descriptive analysis of existing problems, and practice-based (hands-on) assistance through digital marketing training, improvement of packaging design, and strengthening of product branding. The results indicate an increase in the digital readiness of the MSME actor, as evidenced by the adoption of WhatsApp Business, the creation of digital product catalogs, and the utilization of social media as a promotional tool. In addition, improvements in packaging design and brand identity enhanced the visual appeal and product image in the eyes of consumers. This assistance activity had a positive impact on improving the marketing capacity of the MSME and opened opportunities for expanding market reach. With continuous assistance, the “Nek Surati” cassava chips MSME has the potential to increase its competitiveness and contribute more significantly to the local economy.

The goal to be achieved in writing this final project report is to explain the process of writing a script using narrative techniques in a feature video. In this final project, the script writing uses narrative techniques with a descriptive approach. In script writing, narrative techniques are applied in scripts as the main approach in building a structured storyline based on the attachment of cause-and-effect relationships between events. The narrative structure is divided into three stages, namely the preliminary stage (opening), the intermediate stage, and the closing stage (solution). The preliminary stage serves to introduce the phenomenon, the middle stage discusses the phenomenon more deeply, and the closing stage provides solutions to the problems raised. Post-harvest handling of fish requires an effective cold chain system, including the availability of ice factories, to preserve the quality and freshness of catches. The presence of an ice factory enables fishermen to bring ice during fishing trips, ensuring the catch remains safe for consumption. The planning of a portable mini ice factory in Ciwaru Village, located within the Ciletuh National Geopark, aims to maintain fish quality along the southern coast of West Java. Although several ice factories exist in Sukabumi Regency, their availability at fish landing sites such as the Ciwaru Fish Auction Place (TPI) remains insufficient. According to the Regulation of the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries No. 2 of 2021, assistance for ice factory construction is provided to fishermen groups following a feasibility study submission. This community service project aims to assist fishermen cooperatives in improving cold chain management and preparing a feasibility study for ice factory development. Key issues identified include limited human resource competence, hygiene and sanitation challenges, feasibility study preparation, and internal communication enhancement within cooperatives. Solutions are implemented through training programs, cold chain method applications, feasibility analysis for mini ice factories, and the development of an information system for fishermen. The planned ice factory unit has a capacity of 1 ton per 8-hour cycle, supported by three freshwater wells near the site. Economic analysis reveals an NPV of Rp1,170,676,141, an IRR of 10.91%, and a Net B/C Ratio of 1.64, with a BEP at 311 tons/year, well below the installed capacity of 788 tons/year, confirming its economic viability. The resulting feasibility study will serve as the basis for applying for government assistance, complemented by scientific publications, national media coverage, video documentation, and intellectual property registration.

Science and Technology is one of the sciences that learns about how technology develops. This science also learns about the internet that can connect one device to another. By using the internet, we can access websites to make work easier or even find a job that we are interested in. Two examples of websites that we can visit are LinkedIn and Jobstreet. LinkedIn is one of the websites where we can do self branding and add relationships with other audiences. Meanwhile, Jobstreet is one of the websites that provides such types of jobs that we can later apply to a certain place or company. These two websites are very useful for many people, especially for vocational students who after graduating will continue their journey directly in the world of work. In this counseling, we will also teach students how to make a good and correct CV and what things distinguish between an ATS CV and a creative CV. In addition, this counsling is expected to be able to add skills and insights to students related to LinkedIn and Jobstreet so that they are more familiar with using these two platforms in their daily lives. The output results that we get through the implementation of this activity are made in the form of article and poster.
