Jurnal Magistra ini diterbitkan oleh STP Dian Mandala Gunungsitoli Nias Keuskupan Sibolga. Tujuan penerbitan jurnal.. ini adalah untuk mempublikasikan hasil kajian, refleksi dan penelitian dalam bidang Kitab Suci, Teologi, Hukum Gereja, Liturgi, Moral, Pastoral, Katekese dan Pendidikan Keagamaan Katolik serta ilmu-ilmu terkait lainnya. Jurnal Magistra menerima artikel dan resensi buku dari berbagai peneliti yang terkait dengan bidang-bidang ilmu tersebut. Artikel yang dikirim harus belum pernah atau sedang dalam proses penerbitan di jurnal lain, dan harus sesuai dengan pedoman dalam format yang telah ditentukan. Artikel yang diterima tim redaksi, akan dinilai kelayakannya oleh reviewer melalui proses blind-review.
