English is an essential language used in various aspects of life, and formal education remains the primary setting where students learn English. In Indonesian Junior High Schools, English is commonly taught using resources provided by the school, with textbooks or learning modules serving as key materials. Most of these schools have adopted the Emancipated Curriculum (Merdeka Curriculum) while some, particularly Islamic schools, supplement it with the Integrated Islamic School Network (JSIT) Curriculum. The JSIT Curriculum combines an integrated learning system with a full-day school model, emphasizing Islamic values and character building. Given these unique educational settings, it is important to explore teachers’ specific needs for English reading modules that align with the characteristics and goals of Islamic schools. This qualitative study involved 25 English teachers from Islamic junior high schools in Magelang Regency. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews. The results reveal that teachers encounter challenges in teaching reading comprehension, primarily due to a lack of suitable learning resources reflecting Islamic schools' identity and educational objectives. Therefore, there is a significant need to develop English reading modules tailored to the values, vision, and mission of Islamic education to enhance classroom instruction.

Currently, there is growing integration on the use of technology. There should be appropriate tools to enhance vocabulary mastery for the learners, especially English learners. Educandy is recognized as an interactive learning platform to support learners' vocabulary mastery. This study adopted a mixed-method approach to provide a more comprehensive understanding by examining both learning outcomes and students’ responses. Its aim is to provide insights into how Educandy can enhance vocabulary learning among seventh-grade students at MTs Arrobiah Azzain Grinting. 60 students were randomly selected and divided into two groups; experimental and control groups. Educandy has improved vocabulary at MTs Arrobiah Azzain, shown by higher post-test scores and positive student feedback from observations and interviews. This finding confirmed that using the Educandy video game effectively enhanced EFL secondary students’ vocabulary acquisition. The implementation of this interactive tool not only improved students’ vocabulary knowledge but also increased their enthusiasm for learning. The students were able to enjoy learning vocabulary using Educandy video game, which made them enthusiastic in learning. The students could easily remember what they have learned in their class by using Educandy video game. Based on the research findings, it was concluded that using the Educandy video game effectively enhanced vocabulary learning for EFL secondary students. This was evident that there was improvement in students’ vocabulary mastery and their increased enthusiasm for learning.

Hypertension or high blood pressure is defined as a continuous increase in blood pressure that exceeds normal limits (Nuraini et al., 2023). Hypertension occurs due to several factors, the first being modifiable and non-modifiable factors. Among the modifiable risk factors for hypertension are smoking and obesity. People who smoke more than one pack of cigarettes per day will be twice as vulnerable as people who do not smoke (Luh et al., 2020). The purpose of this study was to determine the correlational between smoking and BMI with the incidence of hypertension in adult men in Alassumur Lor Besuk Probolinggo. The research design used an Correlational Analytic with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study was 35 with a total sampling technique. The research instrument used a questionnaire, then the data obtained will be tested by Spearman rank. The results of the study obtained the smoking variable ? = 0.018, the BMI variable ? = 0.071. This shows that there is a corelation between smoking behavior and BMI with the incidence of hypertension. Smoking behavior that is increasingly uncontrolled will cause hypertension and accumulation of fat on the walls of blood vessels can cause narrowing and hardening, increasing blood flow resistance and ultimately increasing blood pressure. It is hoped that respondents will reduce their smoking habits and start a healthy life by maintaining a diet, exercising regularly and eating nutritious foods.

In this research the author took a study in the field of syntax. The syntactic survey in this research focuses on the types of transitive verb clauses in popular articles by Muh. Syahrul Padli in the April 2024 edition of the medium. This research aims to classify and analyze transitive verb clauses. This research is conducted with a synchronic approach that seeks to describe and provide the types and structures of clauses presented descriptively and qualitatively. The purpose of this study is to provide insight into the classification of verb clauses and provide examples of their classification in the description text in “Popular Articles by Muh. Syahrul Padli on Medium Masa Media April 2024 Edition”. Data collection in this research uses note-taking and listening/reading techniques. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, analysis, interpretation, and triangulation after which a conclusion is drawn. The data presentation technique is informal data presentation. From the data analysis, it can be concluded that some form of verb clauses in description texts, namely: transitive verb clauses. This article can be useful for students because it gives insight into the structured division of verb clauses and also the use of verb clauses in the article. 

In the current era of globalization, advances in information media and technology are felt by almost all levels of society. One manifestation of technological development is smartphones. Smartphones really attract children's attention and interest, so they are one of the factors in increasing the percentage of children using smartphones. A very sensitive period of child development is the age of 1-5 years, so it is often called the golden age. The aim of this Community Service is to increase knowledge and understanding about the importance of the role of parents at home in limiting the use of smartphones so that children can achieve their growth and development process. This activity is carried out in the form of Health Education through counseling, lectures, discussions and questions and answers (counseling). The target of the activity was parents (mothers) whose children attended the One Roof Kindergarten in Ketompen Village, totaling 41 participants. The material provided is about the impact of smartphone use (Positive and Negative) and how parents monitor smartphone use through the 3 P method which includes Understanding, Limiting and Controlling. The result of this activity was that the majority of participants knew and understood how to supervise children when using smartphones.

The accuracy of language in news texts is critical because appropriate language makes it easier for readers to understand. The quality of correct and appropriate language is essential in conveying information that is clear, accurate, and easy for readers to understand. Language errors in news texts can interfere with understanding and affect readers' minds. Therefore, correcting language errors in news texts, especially for junior high school students, is essential as part of the learning process. This research aims to provide a deeper understanding of language errors in the news texts studied, using data collection methods, listening and note-taking techniques, and analysis using the agih method. The research used a qualitative descriptive design approach to analyze errors in language use in news texts in the April 2023 Edition of Derap Guru Magazine, which included errors in conjunctions, punctuation, spelling, standard words, capital letters, abbreviated words, and ineffective sentences. Students can improve their language skills by analyzing language usage errors in news texts as teaching materials while deepening their understanding of news texts and effective language use.

Education is a process carried out to change the mindset and behavior of humans into individuals who have good character, insight, and quality in order to become individuals with dignity. The development of an increasingly advanced era demands that the learning process in schools use technology as a means of supporting learning activities, for example in the use of learning media. One of the learning media that utilizes current technological developments is Canva. This article aims to describe the application of Canva media as a learning medium to examine the structure and language of discussion texts in class IX H Junior High School 36 Semarang. The benefit of applying Canva as a learning medium for studying discussion text material is that students are more interested and find it easier to understand how to study the structure and language rules of discussion texts.
 

This research is motivated by the use of social media Twitter which attracts its users with informative and popular content. Twitter has succeeded in reaching users from various groups, from officials to the general public. The features in it allow for unlimited communication. This research focuses on analyzing the principles of jokes in tweets from the Twitter account @kaesangp. The principle of joking is a method that is intended to offend feelings by being friendly or in the form of a basis for making conclusions that are true and false; an intentional violation of the maxims of politeness; and disclosure of taboo things in a speech. In accordance with the focus of the research objectives, pragmatic theory is used and is related to the principle of jokes. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. The listening method and note-taking technique were used as data collection methods. As the end of the research objective, results were obtained in the form of utterances in tweets from the Twitter account @kaesangp which contained utterances with the principle of joking. The research results were obtained from the classification and decomposition based on the type of joking speech, including satire, banter and jokes. The benefit of this research is to find out the principles of jokes contained in the tweets of related Twitter accounts.

Sleeping for a child is as important as eating, drinking and playing, because many children neglect their sleep time because they play on their cellphones. This community service aims to increase parents' knowledge and understanding about NAP Training in order to optimize the growth and development of pre-school age children.
This activity is carried out using counseling and training methods for mothers who have pre-school age children with the material presented including the concept of sleep, sleep time according to age, benefits of sleep, sleeping techniques and methods for children, the concept of growth and development, children's growth and development according to age stages. . The activities were carried out at the One Roof Kindergarten in Ketompen Village which was attended by 41 mothers.
The results obtained were truly extraordinary where almost all participants (97%) were able to answer the questions asked.

Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder with multiple etiologies characterized by high sugar levels. Patients with chronic illnesses are very susceptible to depression. This can be overcome if the respondent has good enough resilience and self-efficacy so that he can manage self-care and regulate glycemic levels and strive for better health. The aim of the research is to determine the relationship between resilience, self-efficacy and depression with self-care management in patients with diabetes mellitus in the Besuki Community Health Center working area.
This research design is cross sectional/analytic correlation. The study population included 38 Diabetes Mellitus patients with Gangrene. The sampling technique uses probability sampling, total sampling. The sampling used was 38 people. The instrument uses a questionnaire sheet. And multiple linear regression statistical tests.
The research results showed that the average resilience was 70.02, self-efficacy was 71, mild depression was 17 respondents and the average self-care management score was 72. Resilience increased self-care management with a p value of 0.000 ? ? 0.005. Self-efficacy increases self-care management with a p value of 0.000 ? ? 0.005 with an average coefficient of . the results of multiple linear regression obtained a p value of 0.000 ? ? 0.005. There is a relationship between self-efficacy, resilience and depression with self-care management in patients with diabetes mellitus in the Besuki Community Health Center working area with a p value of 0.000 ? ? 0.005 with a coefficient value of 0.608 so, Self-efficacy influences self-care 6 times more than other variables.
Self-efficacy, good resilience can reduce depression in chronic patients such as gangrene so that patients have adequate self-care management.
