This study aims to analyze the representation of Shalom Mawira's resistance in the Novel "Perempuan Yang Menunggu Di Lorong Menuju Laut" by Dian Purnomo and its relevance as a teaching material at SMP Darussalam Medan. This novel tells the story of the struggle of Shalom Mawira, a Sangihe woman who fights to defend a gold mine that will be exploited by the Biongo company in her homeland, which is represented as a form of resistance against the government's injustice in handling this case. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method to describe and analyze the form of resistance carried out by Shalom Mawira and the Sangihe community and relate it to the Indonesian language learning curriculum. By utilizing gender studies, the study shows that Shalom Mawira's resistance in this novel depicts courage, solidarity, and determination in facing pressure and injustice. In terms of relevance, this novel can be used as teaching material at SMP Darussalam Medan because it has the potential to increase awareness of protecting the environment and foster a sense of nationalism in students. Abstrak:
This study examines the impact of green talent management practices on HR performance quality in eco-friendly hotels in Central Java, Indonesia, using a phenomenological approach. Through in-depth interviews with 24 participants across six star-rated hotels, direct observation, document analysis, and focus group discussions, the research explores how green HRM practices influence employee performance and career development opportunities for young talent. The findings reveal that eco-friendly hotels have implemented various green talent management practices including environmentally-conscious recruitment, sustainability training, green performance management, and employee involvement in environmental initiatives. These practices positively impact multiple dimensions of employee performance: task performance through improved resource efficiency; contextual performance through enhanced teamwork; adaptive performance through increased innovation capability; and environmental performance through strengthened pro-environmental behaviors. The effectiveness of these practices is influenced by top management commitment, integration with business strategy, training quality, organizational culture, and resource availability. Young employees perceive involvement in green initiatives as valuable for developing leadership skills, expanding professional networks, and enhancing market competitiveness, although they identify the need for clearer sustainability-focused career paths. The study contributes to GHRM and talent management literature by explicating the mechanisms linking green talent management with performance outcomes in the hospitality industry context, while providing practical implications for hotel managers seeking to enhance both environmental sustainability and human resource performance. The research underscores the importance of a holistic approach to green talent management that aligns environmental priorities with employee development and organizational strategy.

Globalization has increased the complexity of business, particularly for multinational companies facing the challenges of diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Diversity and inclusion have been recognized as strategic factors that can drive innovation, productivity, and operational efficiency. This study aims to analyze the impact of diversity and inclusion policies on organizational performance in the context of multinational companies. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through a questionnaire survey involving 200 respondents from various multinational companies. Analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression to measure the contribution of diversity and inclusion policies to organizational performance. The results show that diversity contributes 45% to the improvement of organizational performance, while inclusion contributes 37%. The R² value of 0.6416 indicates that the model can explain 64.16% of the variability in organizational performance based on these two variables. Furthermore, the effective implementation of diversity and inclusion policies has been shown to increase employee engagement by 28% and operational efficiency by 15%. This study emphasizes that diversity and inclusion should be regarded as essential elements in an organizational strategy to enhance competitiveness in the global market. This research contributes to the literature on diversity and inclusion by providing relevant empirical evidence to support strategic decision-making in multinational companies. The study also offers practical guidance for managers in designing more inclusive policies to maximize human resource potential.
