This study aims to analyze the implementation of digital marketing in Sharia cooperative retail business units to increase sales volume. Advances in information technology have driven changes in consumer behavior, leading to an increasing reliance on digital media for product information and transactions. This situation requires Sharia cooperatives to adapt through the implementation of effective digital marketing strategies. This study employed a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were obtained through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research informants consisted of cooperative administrators, retail business unit managers, and consumers who interacted with the cooperative's digital marketing media. Data analysis techniques used the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the implementation of digital marketing through social media, WhatsApp Business, and digital promotions can expand market reach, enhance interaction with consumers, and drive increased sales volume. However, obstacles remain, including limited human resources and consistency in digital content management. Therefore, improving the digital competency of cooperative managers is necessary to optimize digital marketing strategies.

This literature review analyzes the impact of data privacy issues on consumer usage intention in Indonesian e-commerce platforms. The study aims to map privacy threats and understand the phenomenon of the privacy paradox in the context of digital retail. Using a literature review method, this study synthesized findings from international journals published in the last five years from Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar databases. The results show that excessive data collection, unauthorized secondary use, and data breaches significantly increase consumer privacy concerns. However, the research also confirms a privacy paradox, where consumers willingly share personal data to gain shopping convenience and promotions. The findings highlight that strong brand trust and a seamless user experience can effectively mitigate these privacy fears. Practically, this study recommends that e-commerce companies implement the Privacy by Design framework, utilize dynamic passwords (OTP), and provide transparent privacy settings as a competitive marketing advantage. Future research should explore specific regional demographics and the direct impact of new technologies like AI chatbots on consumer security perceptions.

Modern food supply chains, particularly those involving essential commodities like rice, often suffer from major challenges such as product fraud, inefficient record-keeping, and a lack of consumer trust. Traditional centralized systems are prone to data tampering, limited transparency, and poor traceability, making it difficult to verify the authenticity and origin of goods. To address these issues, our research introduces TraceRoot, a blockchain-based traceability framework designed to enhance transparency, accountability, and trust in agricultural supply chains.TraceRoot leverages the immutability and decentralization of blockchain technology to maintain a secure, distributed ledger that records every transaction and movement of goods across the supply chain. Each stakeholder including farmers, distributors, retailers, and consumers has role-based access to authenticated data through a user-friendly interface. The framework integrates smart contracts to automate transactions and digital signatures to verify the integrity of the data being uploaded, minimizing the risk of human error or manipulation

This research aims to analyze the implications of the transition in lease accounting standards to PSAK 73 on tax efficiency levels and net income structures within the retail industry, focusing on PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk as case studies. Employing a descriptive quantitative method, this research compares financial statement data from the 2017-2024 period to evaluate shifts before and after the regulation's enforcement. The results reveal that the implementation of PSAK 73 successfully improved corporate tax efficiency, characterized by a decrease in the Effective Tax Rate (ETR) below the statutory corporate tax rate. This was achieved by leveraging temporary differences that resulted in the recognition of deferred tax assets, providing a strategic advantage in the form of tax deferral. On the other hand, the application of this standard caused significant pressure on net profit during the initial transition phase due to the front-loading expense pattern derived from right-of-use asset depreciation and lease liability interest.

This study aims to analyze the influence of a halal lifestyle on consumer preferences in selecting Sharia-compliant retail products. The study employed a Systematic Literature Review method, reviewing various empirical and conceptual studies published between 2017 and 2025. The analysis focused on the relationship between halal awareness, religiosity, ethical consumption values, and Muslim consumer behavior in making choices about Sharia-compliant retail products and services. The results indicate that a halal lifestyle is viewed not only as a form of compliance with Islamic law but also as a social identity and a modern consumption pattern that influences consumer purchasing decisions. Consumers with high levels of halal awareness and religiosity tend to have a greater preference for Sharia-compliant retail products that guarantee halal certification, quality, transparency, and ethical values in their business processes. Furthermore, trust, Islamic brand image, and marketing strategies based on Islamic values contribute to strengthening consumer loyalty to Sharia-compliant retail. This research provides managerial implications for Sharia-compliant retail businesses to develop innovative, educational, and tailored marketing strategies to meet the halal lifestyle needs of modern Muslims.

The development of digital technology and internet penetration are driving changes in consumer behavior and demanding that MSMEs not only adapt but also understand the operational motives and marketing channel integration strategies to face competition in the digital era. This study aims to examine the operational motives and technical adaptation processes of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Bali in integrating online and offline marketing channels through an omnichannel strategy to respond to intense market competition in the digital era. This descriptive qualitative research uses a multiple case study approach in three different MSME sectors: goods maintenance services, creative services, and fashion retail. Data collection was conducted through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and a review of digital activities, then analyzed through single-case and cross-case stages. The results show that MSMEs optimize digital channels as instruments to expand reach and trigger consumer emotional engagement through a visual storytelling approach, while physical stores are crucially maintained as points of sensory validation. Functional integration has been proven to accommodate the shift in consumer behavior towards a hybrid decision-making pattern. In this pattern, consumers conduct information searches and initial evaluations online, but tend to shift to offline interactions to validate quality and finalize transactions to minimize purchase risk. In conclusion, cross-channel operational synergy has proven essential in boosting the competitive advantage of MSMEs.

MSMEs in the snack food sector face dual pressures: competition with large-scale national brands on one side, and the requirement to meet modern retail standards on the other. This Community Service activity was conducted at Jiddah Krenyes, a home-industry potato chips MSME in Jakarta affiliated with the Jakarta Entrepreneur community, using a Participatory Action Research approach with four cycles: plan, act, observe, and reflect. The intervention focused on marketing transformation toward modern retail penetration through Bright Store Pertamina via six sequential phases: audit and planning, visual identity and branding optimization, digital content strategy development, Bright Store penetration through fulfillment of seven retail requirements, integrated promotion activation, and monitoring and evaluation. Reflective evaluation confirms substantive changes in the partner's business capacity: gradual fulfillment of modern retail legality requirements, consistent brand identity strengthening, more structured digital content strategy, establishment of a Bright Store pilot outlet partnership, and more effective omnichannel integration. This activity contributes to the validation of PAR integration with modern trade marketing and omnichannel strategy frameworks for Indonesian snack food MSMEs.

This study investigates the influence of drug availability, location, and service quality on consumer purchasing decisions at Toko Obat Zahwa Batam. The phenomenon underlying this research is a significant decline of 23.3% in transactions at Toko Obat Zahwa over three years (2022–2024). A quantitative approach with survey method was employed, involving 100 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed through multiple linear regression using IBM SPSS 26. The results indicate that drug availability has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions (t = 5.390; sig. = .000), service quality has a positive and significant effect (t = 4.700; sig. = .000), while location does not significantly influence purchasing decisions (t = –0.556; sig. = .579). Simultaneously, all three variables significantly affect purchasing decisions (F = 38.203; sig. = .000) and explain 53.0% of the variance (Adjusted R² = .530). The dominant influence of drug availability confirms the need-driven nature of pharmaceutical retail purchases, while the non-significant effect of location reflects habitual buying behavior among loyal consumers. These findings provide practical implications for independent drug store management in competitive markets.

Disputes over unpaid insurance claims are a problem that frequently arises in insurance practice and can harm consumers both financially and psychologically, while also reducing public trust in the insurance industry. Such disputes are generally triggered by differing interpretations of policy provisions, alleged breaches of the good-faith principle, and administrative obstacles, which ultimately lead to civil conflicts between the insured and the insurer. To provide access to dispute resolution that is faster, fairer, and more affordable than litigation, the Financial Services Authority (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan/OJK) established the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institution for the Financial Services Sector (Lembaga Alternatif Penyelesaian Sengketa Sektor Jasa Keuangan/LAPS SJK) through OJK Regulation No. 61/POJK.07/2020. This study aims to analyze the mechanism for resolving disputes over unpaid insurance claims through LAPS SJK and to assess its effectiveness in providing legal protection and legal certainty for consumers. The research method employed is normative legal research using a statutory approach and a conceptual approach, through an examination of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials related to contracts, insurance, consumer protection, and alternative dispute resolution. The findings show that LAPS SJK has the authority to handle civil disputes in the financial services sector, including insurance disputes, provided that the parties have a written agreement and have first pursued internal dispute resolution (Internal Dispute Resolution/IDR). Dispute resolution at LAPS SJK is conducted through mediation and arbitration. Mediation is facilitated by a mediator to encourage the parties to reach a settlement agreement, which may be reinforced into a Deed of Settlement (Akta Perdamaian) that is final, binding, and enforceable. If mediation fails, arbitration offers a more determinative resolution through a final and binding award that can be enforced after being registered with the District Court. Overall, LAPS SJK is considered effective because its procedures are structured, time-bound, and provide a fee waiver for mediation in retail and small-claim cases up to IDR 750,000,000. However, its effectiveness remains conditional, as it depends on the existence of a written agreement between the parties, the obligation to undergo IDR, and good faith in the mediation process.

This study was conducted to evaluate the influence of Total Asset Turnover (TATO), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), and Net Profit Margin (NPM) in predicting stock return fluctuations. The study focuses on retail sector issuers listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) between 2021 and 2024. Through the application of panel data regression analysis, the study determined that the Common Effects Model (CEM) is the most appropriate estimation method. This decision was made based on a series of tests including the Chow Test and the Lagrange Multiplier. Although classical assumption testing showed symptoms of heteroscedasticity, this problem was addressed using the EGLS (cross-sector weighting) Panel method to ensure the validity of the estimates. Based on partial testing, it is found that TATO and NPM variables have a positive and significant contribution to stock returns, while DER is found to have no significant effect. Collectively, all independent variables had a significant effect, with the Adjusted R-Square value reaching 27.80%. This indicates that for investors in the retail sector, profitability and operational efficiency are important indicators in making investment decisions.

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in supporting local and national economic development, particularly through employment generation and income distribution. Seasonal religious events such as Ramadan significantly influence consumption patterns and market dynamics, creating both opportunities and challenges for MSMEs. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the “Seri Ramadhan” phenomenon within the strategic management practices of MSMEs in Martapura, focusing on the periods before and after Ramadan. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with field study methods. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation involving selected MSME actors in the culinary, fashion, and retail sectors. The findings indicate that prior to Ramadan, MSMEs emphasize strategic planning through product innovation, stock preparation, promotional intensification, and operational adjustments. After Ramadan, they conduct performance evaluations, inventory control, and strategic realignment to maintain business sustainability. The study highlights that Ramadan is not merely a short-term sales opportunity but also a strategic momentum integrated into broader business planning cycles. The implications suggest that adaptive and cyclical strategic management enhances MSME resilience and competitive advantage in seasonal markets.

The retention of customers in the retail banking sector is a critical economic imperative; however, predictive modeling is frequently hindered by severe class imbalance and the “Black Box” nature of complex algorithms. This study proposes a Heterogeneous Stacking Ensemble framework integrating XGBoost, CatBoost, and Random Forest base learners with a Logistic Regression meta-learner to forecast customer attrition. To overcome the pervasive “Majority Class Bias,” we introduce a “Dual-Imbalance Defense” that synergizes the Synthetic Minority Over-sampling Technique (SMOTE) with algorithmic cost-sensitive penalization. Furthermore, moving beyond standard accuracy metrics, the framework mathematically derives a dynamic classification threshold to guarantee a strict 0.90 recall rate, actively optimizing the capture of at-risk capital. Model opacity is addressed through the integration of a SHapley Additive exPlanations (SHAP) TreeExplainer. This cooperative game theory approach provides localized, patient-level “Reason Codes” for regulatory compliance and reveals global systemic vulnerabilities, including non-linear drivers such as the “Product Paradox.” Achieving a 0.90 recall rate and an AUC of 0.8654, this framework provides a statistically robust and operationally transparent tool for targeted customer retention.

Transaction logs in online retail provide opportunities for data-driven customer segmentation. This study segments customers at two scopes global (all countries) and United Kingdom (UK) using Recency, Frequency, and Monetary (RFM) features derived from the Online Retail transaction dataset. After cleaning cancellations and invalid records, RFM variables are computed per customer and normalized. K-Means clustering is applied separately for global and UK data, while the number of clusters is selected via the elbow criterion and validated using internal indices. The best configuration for both scopes yields five clusters, with moderate separation quality based on the silhouette score. Cluster profiling indicates distinct groups ranging from low-frequency low-spending customers to highly frequent high-spending customers. The comparison between global and UK segmentation shows similar structural patterns, yet different proportions across segments, supporting targeted retention and value-driven marketing actions.
