This study aims to examine the role of mathematics education in building numerical literacy in elementary schools, as well as strategies that can be implemented to enhance students' numerical skills. Numerical literacy is a fundamental skill needed by students to understand, interpret, and use numerical information in daily life. The research method used is library research, reviewing various related literature, including books and recent scholarly journals in the field of mathematics education. The results show that the integration of technology, the use of contextual approaches, and collaborative learning are effective strategies in improving students' numerical literacy. Technology helps simplify the understanding of abstract concepts, while contextual and collaborative approaches make mathematics more relevant and applicable. The implications of these findings are the need for further development in teacher training to integrate technology in teaching and the importance of involving students in more interactive and contextual learning processes. This study also suggests further evaluation of the implementation of these strategies in various educational settings.

This article explores the nature of the philosophy of Islamic education and its integration with the philosophy of mathematics in the learning process. The philosophy of Islamic education is rooted in the Qur’an and As-Sunnah and is further reinforced by the thoughts of Muslim philosophers. It encompasses three main aspects: ontology (the nature of existence), epistemology (the sources and methods of acquiring knowledge), and axiology (values and purposes). Islamic education aims not only to shape individual character but also to build a holistic educational system based on Islamic values. In this context, education is not merely a process of knowledge transfer but a means of fostering moral and spiritual development in learners. On the other hand, the philosophy of mathematics from the perspective of Islamic education emphasizes that mathematics is not solely an exact science of arithmetic, but also a discipline closely related to ethical and moral values in Islam. Mathematics is viewed as part of the divine order of Allah’s creation, reflecting His greatness. Therefore, the integration of Islamic educational philosophy and mathematical philosophy in learning offers a deeper approach to mathematical concepts. This approach not only enhances students’ cognitive understanding of the material but also instills spiritual awareness and values of faith and piety. By combining scientific and religious aspects, the learning process becomes more systematic, meaningful, and aligned with the comprehensive goals of Islamic education.

Prosiding Seminar Nasional Ilmu Pendidikan 2025 Asosiasi Riset Ilmu Pendidikan Indonesia

This study aims to describe the difficulties of mathematics education students in solving mathematical induction problems in terms of concept understanding and calculation aspects. This type of research is descriptive using a qualitative approach. Based on the results of data processing, conclusions can be drawn, namely: (1) Concept errors, namely errors made by students because they do not understand the concept well. (2) Strategy error, which is an error that occurs because students choose the wrong way to work. (3) Calculation errors, namely errors in performing mathematical operations. Systematic errors, which are errors related to the wrong selection of extrapolation techniques. (4) Of the 10 mathematics education students, the data description of the research results shows an average in the normal category, namely 53%. Translated with DeepL.com (free version).

Abstract. Understanding opportunity material is often a challenge for students at primary to secondary education levels. This article aims to discuss the factors that influence students' understanding of opportunity material. These factors include students' cognitive abilities, learning styles, teaching methods used by teachers, learning motivation, previous learning experiences, and a supportive learning environment. By understanding these factors, it is hoped that teaching opportunity material can be more effective and help students understand the basic concepts of opportunity.   Keywords:Student understanding, opportunity material, influencing factors, mathematics learning.

Learning difficulties do not only occur in students attending primary to secondary school, but also occur in mathematics education students. This research uses the Systematic Literature Review research method. Mathematics education students are part of the teaching faculty who are hired to become educators, namely the inability to understand the material, this main factor is the main factor in the difficulty of learning mathematics, students in the first semester are vulnerable to semesters 1-3 where the learning method is between schools. and different lectures make students in the first semester of mathematics education experience a shock of understanding, students are required not only to gain understanding in lecture classes but also in seminars, presentations and research, this study concludes. But one of the main factors is external where jockeying has a domino effect Mathematics education students must be aware of this so that they do not become students who are dull in thinking, logic and the future. The author states that no matter how smart the student is, if they still use assignment coaching services, they can be said to be suffering from an illness as is another definition of learning difficulties..

The low understanding of mathematical concepts experienced by students also has an impact on students' ability to solve problems related to mathematics because the concepts taught by teachers are never found in everyday life. Therefore, a learning approach is needed that encourages students to construct their own mathematical concepts based on experiences that occur in everyday life. The research method used in this research is Systematic Literature Review (SLR). The data collection process includes collecting and analyzing every published article and book that discusses mathematical concepts and the application of Realistic Mathematics Education (RME). The journals used in this research are national and international journals indexed by SINTA and SCOPUS. Research findings show that the RME approach has an important role in improving students' ability to understand mathematical concepts in several materials at every level of education.
