This study aims to compare the financial performance of Islamic banks and conventional banks operating in Jambi Province during the 2021–2023 period. The approach used is comparative quantitative, with descriptive analysis and independent sample t-tests. Five key financial ratios were analyzed in this study: Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), Operating Expenses to Operating Income (BOPO), Net Interest Margin (NIM), and Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR). Data were obtained from the quarterly financial reports of each sample bank, thus reflecting actual financial performance on a periodic and ongoing basis. The analysis shows significant differences in three key financial ratios: ROA, ROE, and BOPO. Conventional banks demonstrate higher levels of profitability and operational efficiency than Islamic banks. High ROA and ROE values reflect the effectiveness of conventional banks in generating profits from their assets and capital. Furthermore, lower BOPO ratios in conventional banks indicate a better ability to control operating costs. In contrast, no significant differences were found in the NIM and LDR ratios, indicating equality between the two types of banks in generating interest margins and disbursing credit or financing to customers. This finding has important implications for the development of the Islamic banking sector to be more competitive, particularly in terms of efficiency and profitability. Islamic banks are expected to improve their asset and operational management strategies to increase competitiveness amidst the dual banking system in Indonesia. This research also contributes to regulators in formulating policies that support the growth of Islamic banks in the regions. For academics and practitioners, this study broadens understanding of the dynamics of local banking financial performance and serves as a reference for further research on the effectiveness of the dual banking system in the regional context.

The study was conducted as an analysis of the impact of liquidity risk, credit risk, operational risk, asset growth, and net interest margin on financial performance. This study consists of five independent variables consisting of liquidity risk with a proxy for the Loan to Deposit Ratio, credit risk proxied by NonPerforming Loan, operational risk proxied by Operating Expenses to Operating Income, Asset Growth proxied by the Asset Growth Ratio, Net Interest Margin as a measure of net interest margin, and financial performance measured by Return on Assets. There are 39 banks with a total of 117 observation data samples in the study. With the object of research conventional banks that report their annual reports on the IDX in 2021-2023. Based on the results of the study, liquidity risk and asset growth do not affect financial performance. Credit risk and operational risk have a negative effect on financial performance. Akuntansi dan Ekonomi Pajak: Perspektif Global 2024 Asosiasi Riset Ekonomi dan Akuntansi Indonesia

The development of the banking industry in Indonesia is highly regarded, making the presence of banking institutions essential. It is known that the banking industry plays a strategic role in supporting the implementation of national development to enhance equitable development. To become a sufficiently good bank, measuring performance as an indicator of success is an absolute requirement. This research aims to determine whether the Risk Based Bank Rating approach can measure Financial Performance and the Risk Based Bank Rating moderated by Capital Structure can measure Financial Performance. Case study of state-owned banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2019-2022. This research uses secondary data and research methods used is quantitative. The results show that Non-Performing Loans have a negative impact on financial performance, the Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) has a significant impact on Return On Assets (ROA), the Net Interest Margin (NIM) has a positive and significant impact on financial performance measured by Return On Assets (ROA). Operating Expenses to Operating Income (BOPO) has a negative and significant impact on financial performance measured by Return On Assets (ROA). The Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) has a significant impact on financial performance. Capital Structure has a significant impact on Non-Performing Loans (NPL) compared to financial performance. Capital Structure significantly affects the Net Interest Margin (NIM) concerning financial performance. The capital structure between operating expenses and operating income can influence a company's performance.

This thesis contains a study of how BPR financial ratios are Current Asset Ratio (CAR)/ Minimum Capital Requirements (KPMM), Non-Performing Loans (NPL), Net Interest Margin (NIM), Operational Costs Operating Income (BOPO), and Loans to Deposit Ratio (LDR) affects the level of profitability projected by the Return on Assets (ROA) ratio. In this study CAR/ KPMM, NPL, NIM, BOPO and LDR as independent variables, while ROA as the dependent variable. This study uses sample data from the financial statements of Rural Bank (BPR) in Semarang City registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) in 2016 to 2018. Sampling from the OJK website (www.ojk.go.id) and using the Purpossive method Sampling. There are 23 BPRs that meet the criteria as research samples. The sample data is processed using Microsoft Excel and SPSS 19. The analytical method used for data processing in this study is the Multiple Linear Regression Analysis Method. The results of the data processing in this study indicate that CAR / KPMM and NIM have a significant positive effect on ROA, BOPO has a significant negative effect on ROA and NPL, and LDR does not significantly influence ROA  Key Wor : Rural Credit Banks (BPR), ROA, CAR/KPMM, NPL, NIM, BOPO, LDR

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Loan To Deposit Ratio (LDR), Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Net Interest Margin (NIM) and Operational Costs compared to Operating Income (BOPO) to Return On Assets (ROA) (Conventional Commercial Bank Studies 2013 to 2019). This research uses several analytical methods, namely descriptive analysis, Classic Assumption Test, Multiple Linear Regression Test. The LDR independent variable test results have a positive and not significant effect on the dependent variable ROA. CAR, NIM, BOPO have a negative and significant effect on the dependent variable ROA. Simultaneously there is a significant influence between Loan To Deposit Ratio (LDR), Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Net Interest Margin (NIM) and Operational Costs Compared to Operating Income (BOPO) to Return on Assets (ROA). Adjusted R2 Return on Assets (ROA) can be explained by variations of the four independent variables Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Net Interest Margin (NIM) Variables, Operational Cost Variables compared to Operating Income (BOPO) .   Keywords: ROA, LDR, CAR, NIM and BOPO

This study aims to determine whether the independent variables thatOperating Expenses to Operating Income and Loan to Deposit Ratio, andNet Interest Margin as a moderating variable jointly significantly affectearnings changes. As well as to determine which variable partial effect onearnings in the banking changes listed in Indonesian Banking Directory.Based on the above objectives, the study was conducted using purposivesampling method, meaning that the sample in this study were selected basedon specific criteria. The sample in this study from the year 2006 - 2012amounted to 90 banks. Data collection techniques based on secondary data.In this study, the secondary data obtained from the financial statements ofbanks registered in Indonesian Banking Directory in the year 2006-2012 .The results of hypothesis testing using t-test, showed that thevariable BOPO ratio has no significant influence on changes in income andLDR have a significant negative effect and not to changes in bank earnings .As for testing moderating ie, the variable is not a variable net NIMmoderating influence of variables on BOPO and LDR variables to changesin earnings in the bank listed in the directory of Indonesian banking (DPI).
