This study aims to describe the implementation of Islamic school culture in shaping the religious character of students at SMK Islam Insan Mulia. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach based on interview transcripts with three students from different vocational programs, namely Mechanical Engineering, Accounting, and Culinary Arts. Data were analyzed through data condensation, thematic coding, data presentation, and interpretive conclusion drawing to obtain a comprehensive understanding of students’ experiences. The findings indicate that Islamic school culture is implemented through religious routines, student discipline, teacher guidance, ethical vocational learning, and the development of a clean and orderly school environment. These practices contribute to the formation of religious character, which is reflected in students’ worship awareness, moral responsibility, honesty in learning, discipline, cooperation, and future orientation. The study also identified several challenges, including limited student independence, peer dependence in group assignments, and the gradual development of facilities in a new vocational program. These findings suggest that Islamic school culture needs to be managed consistently through habituation, teacher role modeling, continuous monitoring, and integration with vocational competencies. The study implies that strengthening Islamic school culture can support both religious character formation and vocational readiness among students.

Humanitarian law plays a significant role in shaping military professionalism, particularly in developing leadership character that upholds human values during military operations. Marine Corps officers are frequently involved in operational assignments that directly interact with civilian populations, both in war operations and military operations other than war. Therefore, a comprehensive understanding of International Humanitarian Law is essential for supporting professional and ethical decision-making. This study aims to analyze efforts to optimize humanitarian law understanding in order to develop a humanistic character among Marine Corps officer cadets. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method using observation, interviews, documentation studies, and literature reviews. Data were collected from Marine Corps educational institutions and legal experts within the Indonesian Naval Academy. The findings indicate that humanitarian law understanding among officer cadets remains constrained by limited instructional time, insufficient practical simulations, and the need for stronger curriculum integration. However, humanitarian law significantly contributes to developing integrity, responsibility, empathy, respect for human dignity, and professionalism in military leadership. Optimization efforts can be achieved through curriculum enhancement, practical case-based learning, continuous legal education, leadership ethics training, and strengthening organizational culture. The study concludes that strengthening humanitarian law education is essential for producing professional, humanistic, and globally competent Marine Corps officers.

Students of the Indonesian School of Jeddah (SIJ) are predominantly categorized as Third Culture Kids (TCK) who face sociocultural challenges and complex health determinants, including a high risk of dental caries and limited character monitoring outside the classroom. This transnational community service program aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of an integrated educational model using audio-visual media through the “Happy Teeth, Bright Smile” campaign and self-monitoring through the “My Adventure Journal” in improving oral health literacy and students’ character behavior. The study employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach with mixed methods involving 155 elementary and junior high school students. Dental knowledge data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks test, while journal compliance was calculated descriptively using the Grand Mean method and triangulated with content analysis of parental feedback. The results showed that elementary students’ compliance with daily character missions increased by 28.31%, particularly in the discipline dimension. Among junior high school students, multimedia intervention significantly improved clinical preventive knowledge (p < 0.001), with mean scores increasing from 77.00 to 90.20. Parental feedback indicated improvements in self-regulation, responsibility, and self-confidence. The study concludes that optimizing the Tripartite Partnership among university students, schools, and parents is effective in strengthening psychosocial resilience and students’ basic health independence in a transnational environment.

Penelitian ini mengkaji strategi Kepala Madrasah MA Bali Bina Insani Tabanan dalam membentuk toleransi siswa melalui penguatan moderasi beragama di tengah masyarakat Hindu dengan guru lintas agama. Tujuannya: (1) mendeskripsikan strategi kepala madrasah, (2) menganalisis pengaruh moderasi beragama terhadap toleransi siswa di lingkungan multikultural, dan (3) mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung serta hambatan.Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif fenomenologi melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, dengan triangulasi untuk uji keabsahan data.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Strategi kepala madrasah mencakup pembelajaran, pengembangan karakter, kemitraan, lingkungan inklusif, dan evaluasi partisipatif. (2) Moderasi beragama tercermin pada komitmen kebangsaan, sikap anti kekerasan, serta penghormatan tradisi lokal yang membentuk toleransi siswa. (3) Faktor pendukung meliputi keterlibatan guru Hindu, praktik toleransi sehari-hari, dan dukungan masyarakat. Hambatan muncul dari perbedaan latar siswa, keterbatasan fasilitas, serta keraguan orang tua terhadap guru non-Muslim, namun diatasi dengan komunikasi persuasif, keteladanan, dan kolaborasi pasca Bali Democracy Forum 2016.

Artikel ini membahas pentingnya teologi kasih dan pengampunan dalam pendidikan Kristen, dengan fokus pada penerapannya dalam pembelajaran holistik. Teologi kasih dan pengampunan, yang merupakan inti ajaran Kristus, menawarkan dasar yang kuat untuk membentuk karakter dan nilai-nilai dalam pendidikan. Melalui pendekatan pastoral, artikel ini mengkaji bagaimana nilai-nilai kasih dan pengampunan dapat membimbing proses pembelajaran yang tidak hanya mencakup aspek intelektual, tetapi juga moral, spiritual, dan emosional siswa. Penulis juga menyoroti pentingnya membangun hubungan yang penuh kasih antara pendidik dan peserta didik untuk menciptakan lingkungan pendidikan yang inklusif, penuh empati, dan mendukung perkembangan holistik individu. Artikel ini berargumen bahwa penerapan teologi kasih dan pengampunan dapat memperkuat pendidikan Kristen sebagai sarana untuk membentuk pribadi yang utuh dan berkarakter Kristus.

Artikel ini mengkaji konsep teologi pembelajaran dari perspektif Alkitabiah dalam upaya mengembangkan metode pengajaran yang relevan dan efektif di sekolah Kristen. Melalui penelaahan teks-teks Alkitab, artikel ini menyelidiki prinsip-prinsip dasar yang dapat diterapkan dalam pendidikan Kristen untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang tidak hanya mendidik secara akademis, tetapi juga membentuk karakter siswa sesuai dengan nilai-nilai Kristiani. Pendekatan ini diharapkan dapat membantu pendidik dalam merancang strategi pengajaran yang sejalan dengan ajaran iman dan membangun hubungan yang lebih erat antara pengajaran dan spiritualitas. Selain itu, artikel ini juga menyarankan berbagai model dan metode yang dapat digunakan dalam konteks sekolah Kristen untuk memaksimalkan pengalaman pembelajaran secara holistik.

Artikel ini membahas peran kepemimpinan Kristen dalam pendidikan sebagai sarana untuk membangun generasi yang berlandaskan nilai-nilai Kristiani. Dalam konteks globalisasi dan tantangan zaman yang semakin kompleks, penting untuk menanamkan prinsip-prinsip moral dan etika Kristiani dalam setiap aspek pendidikan. Kepemimpinan Kristen di sekolah tidak hanya berfokus pada aspek akademik, tetapi juga pada pembentukan karakter siswa dengan mengintegrasikan ajaran kasih, pengampunan, dan kerendahan hati. Artikel ini mengkaji bagaimana para pemimpin pendidikan Kristen dapat menjadi teladan bagi siswa, memotivasi mereka untuk hidup dengan integritas, dan berkontribusi positif bagi masyarakat. Diharapkan, melalui penerapan nilai-nilai Kristiani, generasi mendatang dapat tumbuh dengan wawasan yang holistik, mengedepankan kedamaian, dan saling menghormati dalam menghadapi tantangan dunia.

Multicultural education offers hope in addressing various social tensions that have emerged in recent times, as it is an educational approach that consistently upholds values, beliefs, heterogeneity, plurality, and diversity in all aspects of education. This study aims to describe the implementation of multicultural inclusive learning in developing students’ moral character and to identify the challenges of its implementation at MIN 2 Gunungkidul Yogyakarta. The study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, and students as sources of information. The data were analyzed through data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. The findings show that multicultural inclusive learning was implemented through the habituation of the 5S values (smiling, greeting, addressing, politeness, and courtesy), inclusive classroom arrangement for students with special needs, and the strengthening of discipline, responsibility, independence, care, and religious activities within the madrasah environment. These practices contributed to a warmer learning atmosphere, acceptance of differences, and social interaction between regular students and students with special needs. The main challenges included the limited availability of special assistant teachers, teachers’ limited competence in handling students with special needs, and insufficient inclusive learning facilities

This study was conducted to examine the integration of spiritual intelligence into Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning as an effort to strengthen students’ character. At MA Al-Amien Bugih Pamekasan, some students still demonstrate a lack of discipline, responsibility, and honesty in the learning process. To address these issues, PAI teachers integrate spiritual values through religious activities and the cultivation of positive habits during classroom instruction. This study aims to describe the implementation of spiritual intelligence integration, the strategies used by teachers, and its implications for students’ character development. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation involving purposively selected informants, namely PAI teachers and students. Data analysis followed the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The validity of the findings was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The results indicate that the integration of spiritual intelligence in PAI learning has been implemented systematically through planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. Teachers incorporate spiritual values through religious practices, role modeling, learning reflections, discussions of moral values, and character assessments. These strategies contribute positively to the development of students’ character, particularly in fostering discipline, responsibility, honesty, cooperation, empathy, and independence. Although several challenges remain, including differences in students’ backgrounds, limited instructional time, and external environmental influences, the integration of spiritual values continues to support sustainable character development among students. The findings highlight the important role of spiritual intelligence in creating meaningful learning experiences and promoting positive character formation in Islamic educational settings.

This study examines teachers’ strategies in instilling citizenship values among students to develop democratic character and social responsibility. The background of this study is rooted in the increasing need to strengthen students’ civic awareness and character in the face of rapid social and technological changes. The objective of this research is to identify and analyze effective strategies used by teachers in integrating citizenship values into the learning process. This study employs a library research method by analyzing various relevant academic sources, including journals, books, and scholarly articles related to citizenship education and character development. The findings indicate that effective strategies include student-centered learning approaches, the integration of character education into civic education, the use of inquiry-based learning methods, and the utilization of technology to enhance student engagement. Additionally, extracurricular activities and a democratic classroom environment play a significant role in reinforcing students’ understanding and application of citizenship values. These strategies contribute to the development of students’ critical thinking, participation skills, and social awareness. The implications of this study suggest that teachers need to continuously innovate and adapt their teaching strategies to meet the evolving needs of students and societal demands. Furthermore, educational institutions should provide adequate support and resources to optimize the implementation of citizenship education in fostering responsible and democratic citizens.

To address the negative impacts of teenage romantic relationships on peer dynamics and academic achievement at SMP Negeri 5 Sipahutar, school authorities implemented a regulation prohibiting dating, in line with Pancasila character education principles. This study aimed to evaluate the influence of this policy on fostering positive social behavior among ninth-grade students. The research employed a quantitative descriptive approach and involved 81 students as respondents. Data were collected using a four-level multiple-choice agreement questionnaire consisting of ten items. The analysis results showed a total score of 2707, a mean score of 33.42, a standard deviation of 4.8, and an average scale score of 3.34. The findings revealed that 78.2% of students agreed that the regulation encouraged peer cooperation, improved discipline in obeying school rules, and supported effective group learning. In addition, the policy appeared to contribute to a more positive school environment by reducing distractions associated with adolescent dating behavior. These findings indicate that school-based regulations can play an important role in shaping adolescent character and social behavior based on national values. Therefore, such policies may serve as an effective preventive strategy for educational institutions that aim to strengthen character education and promote responsible student conduct.

Guru di sekolah dasar Tahfidz sering kali menghadapi tantangan besar dalam mengintegrasikan pengajaran Al-Qur’an dengan kemampuan pedagogik modern yang mendukung pembelajaran aktif. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik dan profesional para guru di SD Tahfidz Ibnu Umar Karawang melalui pelatihan metode pengajaran yang bermakna dan inovatif. Permasalahan utama yang ditemukan di mitra sasaran adalah keterbatasan guru dalam menerapkan pendekatan PAIKEM serta kesulitan dalam menyusun perangkat ajar yang adaptif terhadap prinsip Kurikulum Merdeka. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah kombinasi ceramah interaktif, workshop penyusunan modul/RPP, dan praktik langsung melalui sesi microteaching. Pelatihan dilaksanakan dalam tiga sesi utama: (1) pemahaman karakteristik peserta didik usia 7–12 tahun berdasarkan aspek kognitif, sosial-emosional, dan psikomotorik; (2) desain pembelajaran bermakna (meaningful learning); serta (3) strategi pembelajaran aktif seperti Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Discovery Learning, dan pembelajaran kooperatif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman 15 guru peserta dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang berpusat pada siswa (student-centered) serta kemampuan mengintegrasikan teknologi pembelajaran modern (IPTEKS) seperti Canva dan media interaktif dalam proses KBM. Luaran dari program ini mencakup modul pelatihan pedagogik, publikasi artikel ilmiah, dan video diseminasi hasil implementasi metode pembelajaran.

Pengabdian masyarakat merupakan salah satu bentuk implementasi Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi yang bertujuan memberikan kontribusi nyata kepada masyarakat, khususnya dalam bidang pendidikan. Penelitian ini membahas program UKPI Pengajaran yang dilaksanakan oleh UKPI UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya sebagai bentuk pengabdian masyarakat berbasis pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan, dampak, dan luaran dari program UKPI Pengajaran terhadap mahasiswa maupun siswa yang terlibat dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program UKPI Pengajaran memberikan dampak positif terhadap siswa dalam meningkatkan motivasi, semangat belajar, kedisiplinan, serta keaktifan selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Selain itu, program ini juga memberikan pengalaman dan wawasan kepada mahasiswa dalam bidang komunikasi, pengajaran, kepemimpinan, kerja sama tim, dan kepedulian sosial terhadap masyarakat sekitar. Kehadiran siswa dalam kegiatan pengajaran mampu menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih interaktif, kreatif, dan menyenangkan bagi siswa. Program UKPI Pengajaran merupakan bentuk implementasi pengabdian masyarakat yang tidak hanya membantu proses pendidikan di sekolah, tetapi juga mengembangkan kemampuan intelektual, sosial, dan karakter siswa maupun siswa secara berkelanjutan sehingga memberikan manfaat positif bagi dunia pendidikan dan masyarakat lingkungan.

The development of fine motor skills and collaborative character is an essential foundation during the golden age period to support children’s academic readiness and social development. However, learning stimulation at Tamalate State Kindergarten is still largely dominated by conventional methods that lack variety and interactive activities. This community service program aims to implement constructive Straw Connectorsmedia as an innovative learning solution to stimulate children’s fine motor skills and cooperative character. The implementation methods included teacher workshops, classroom application with students through collaborative constructive play activities, and evaluation of learning achievements. The findings revealed a significant improvement in children’s fine motor skills, with the average score increasing from 1.67 in the Pre-Test to 3.27 in the Post-Test. Furthermore, 60% of the children achieved the Very Well Developed (BSB) category in collaborative character development. Through the use of Straw Connectorsmedia, students were able to create complex architectural products such as construction bridges and windmills. The study concludes that Straw Connectorsmedia is effective in improving visual-motor coordination, creativity, and collaborative skills while fostering social empathy through interdependent interaction among children during the learning process.

This study aims to analyze the role of teachers in instilling the character of responsibility in students through Civic Education (PKn) learning in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. The research employed a qualitative approach with a library research method by reviewing various relevant sources such as academic journals, books, and articles. The results indicate that Civic Education plays a strategic role in shaping students’ responsibility character, which is reflected in behaviors such as completing tasks, fulfilling obligations, and actively participating in learning activities. The teacher's role is a key factor in this process, functioning as a role model, facilitator, and guide. In addition, learning strategies such as habituation, contextual approaches, group work, and active learning methods are proven to be effective in fostering responsibility values. However, several challenges were identified, including time constraints, low student awareness, and external environmental influences. Therefore, continuous efforts from teachers, schools, and parents are necessary to create a supportive environment for optimal character development.

PPKn di sekolah dasar berperan penting dalam membentuk karakter dan kesadaran kewarganegaraan peserta didik sejak dini. Namun, dalam praktiknya guru menghadapi berbagai hambatan yang memengaruhi optimalisasi pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hambatan dan tantangan implementasi pembelajaran PPKn di kelas IV SD Negeri Gaprang 01. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan angket. Data kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model analisis interaktif Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas guru kelas IV dan 18 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berjalan cukup baik dan memperoleh respons positif siswa, khususnya pada aspek sikap dan pemahaman nilai kewarganegaraan. Tantangan utama meliputi penyampaian materi abstrak, perbedaan kemampuan akademik, serta keberagaman latar belakang sosial-ekonomi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penggunaan media konkret, strategi diferensiasi, serta pendekatan pembelajaran yang adaptif dan inklusif.

Pendidikan karakter menjadi fokus penting dalam dunia pendidikan karena meningkatnya tantangan moral peserta didik di era globalisasi dan digitalisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter di sekolah menengah, mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan penghambat implementasinya, serta menganalisis dampaknya terhadap perkembangan moral peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif yang dilaksanakan di SMK Plus Al-Ghifari. Subjek penelitian meliputi guru Bimbingan dan Konseling, wali kelas, dan siswa yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam semi-terstruktur, observasi, dan analisis dokumen sekolah, kemudian dianalisis secara tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan karakter telah diintegrasikan dalam proses pembelajaran dan budaya sekolah, dengan dukungan utama berupa kepedulian guru, kerja sama dengan orang tua, serta inisiatif peserta didik. Namun, implementasi masih menghadapi kendala seperti pengaruh lingkungan sosial, keterlibatan keluarga yang belum optimal, ketidakkonsistenan ketegasan pendidik, dan kesulitan adaptasi peserta didik baru. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan sinergi antara sekolah, keluarga, dan lingkungan untuk meningkatkan keberlanjutan dan efektivitas pendidikan karakter.

This research is grounded in the significant role of the madrasah principal in shaping students’ discipline and religious character as part of the goals of Islamic education. MTsN 4 Karawang was selected as the research site because it has various routine programs focused on habituation and character development. However, the implementation of these programs is not free from challenges. Therefore, a deeper study is needed to understand the leadership strategies applied by the principal in managing student discipline and religious activities at the school. The purpose of this study is to describe the leadership strategies used by the madrasah principal to improve student discipline, explain the principal’s role in developing students’ religious character, and identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing these strategies. This study uses a qualitative method with data collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. The main informant of the research is the school principal. The collected data were reduced, presented in narrative form, and analyzed to identify patterns and meanings from the field findings. The results show that the principal applies transformational and participatory leadership through role modeling, religious habituation, and the involvement of teachers and students in monitoring discipline. Pendidikan tidak hanya berfokus pada kemampuan akademik, tetapi juga pada pembentukan karakter siswa, salah satunya melalui sikap saling menghargai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pembentukan karakter siswa melalui pembiasaan sikap saling menghargai di kelas IV SDN 1 Kepanjenlor serta dampaknya terhadap hubungan antar siswa. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek guru dan 18 siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa telah menunjukkan sikap saling menghargai melalui perilaku sopan, saling membantu, dan berbagi dengan teman. Namun, masih terdapat beberapa siswa yang perlu meningkatkan kemampuan mendengarkan dan menghargai pendapat teman.

Penelitian ini bertujuan memahami pelaksanaan pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan (PPKn) sebagai upaya meningkatkan pemahaman nilai-nilai Pancasila pada siswa kelas 5A di SDN 1 Bendogerit Kota Blitar. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi pentingnya pendidikan karakter berlandaskan Pancasila dalam membentuk generasi berakhlak, disiplin, dan bertanggung jawab di tengah tantangan globalisasi. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode wawancara terpusat dan observasi langsung terhadap guru serta proses pembelajaran. Data dianalisis melalui tahapan reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan secara sistematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan guru berperan aktif sebagai teladan dalam membentuk nilai disiplin, tanggung jawab, kerja sama, sopan santun, dan kejujuran siswa. Penguatan nilai Pancasila juga didukung budaya sekolah melalui program pagi rutin dan kegiatan literasi berkelanjutan. Faktor pendukung utama ialah keteladanan guru dan lingkungan yang kondusif, sedangkan tantangan meliputi kebutuhan siswa yang beragam serta keterbatasan sarana digital. This study aims to understand the implementation of Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan (PPKn) as an effort to enhance students’ understanding of Pancasila values among fifth-grade students at SDN 1 Bendogerit, Blitar City. The research is motivated by the importance of character education based on Pancasila in shaping a generation that is virtuous, disciplined, and responsible amid the challenges of globalization. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, using focused interviews and direct classroom observations involving teachers and the learning process. Data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing systematically. The results indicate that teachers play an active role as role models in cultivating students’ values of discipline, responsibility, cooperation, politeness, and honesty. The reinforcement of Pancasila values is also supported by the school culture through regular morning programs and continuous literacy activities. The main supporting factors include teacher exemplarity and a conducive school environment, while challenges involve diverse student needs and limited digital learning facilities.
