Hypertension is a major non-communicable disease burden in rural Acehnese communities. Family support plays a critical role in long-term blood pressure control; however, the lived experiences of families caring for hypertensive members in Posbindu PTM settings remain underexplored. This study aimed to explore the meaning and forms of family role and social support in hypertension management among Posbindu PTM participants in Meunasah Timu Village, Aceh. Methods: A descriptive phenomenological design using Colaizzi's method was employed. Twelve family members of hypertensive patients were recruited purposively from Posbindu PTM, Desa Meunasah Timu. In-depth face-to-face interviews were conducted until data saturation. Trustworthiness was ensured through member checking, peer debriefing, and audit trail. Results: Three themes emerged: (1) Emotional and instrumental family support as a cornerstone of hypertension control; (2) Cultural and religious values as mediators of caregiving behavior; and (3) Barriers to consistent family involvement including knowledge deficits and caregiving fatigue. Conclusion: Family support is multidimensional and culturally embedded in hypertension management. Community health nurses and Posbindu PTM programs should integrate family-centered interventions that address knowledge gaps and caregiver well-being to optimize blood pressure control outcomes.

This study aims to explore Generation Z's adaptation to traditional values, particularly the Balinese language sor singgih in Catur Wangsa, amid social changes driven by globalization and technological advancements, from the perspective of interpersonal communication. The phenomenological approach in qualitative research is the research method used, with three data collection techniques: participant observation, unstructured interviews, and documentation. This study also uses source and technique triangulation as a data validity technique. The research informants are members of Generation Z from the five castes in Bali: Brahmana, Ksatria, Weisya, and Sudra. Research conducted across eight districts and cities in Bali indicates that Generation Z is beginning to shift its interpersonal communication patterns. Although they still uphold traditional values of politeness and social norms, Generation Z emphasizes equality and openness in their daily interactions. The generation Z that continues to use the Balinese language is segmented by social context, emotional closeness, and communication situations, rather than solely by caste differences. Furthermore, this study's findings show that the caste system is seen more as a cultural identity than a social boundary. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of preserving the values of Balinese local wisdom in the form of adaptive, egalitarian communication that is relevant to the development of the younger generation in the digital age.

This research explores the meaning of leadership in employee experiences at Ayam Uleg Cak Abit outlets in Malang City using a transcendental phenomenological approach. In the context of culinary organizations operating 24 hours without formal managerial structures, leadership is understood not merely as a structural position but as relational experiences shaping daily work life. This study involves six participants (two leaders and four employees) selected through purposive sampling, with data collected through in-depth interviews, non-participatory observations, and documentation. Data analysis follows Moustakas' (1994) four stages: epoche, phenomenological reduction, imaginative variation, and synthesis of meanings and essences. Findings reveal that employees perceive meaningful leadership through leader's direct presence, involvement in operational work, emotional support during high-pressure situations, and creating work environments valuing each employee's contribution. Leadership essence emerges through authentic relationships, consistent exemplary behavior, and sincere care in daily interactions rather than formal authority or hierarchical position. This research contributes to leadership theory by providing phenomenological perspectives and offers practical implications for developing more humanistic leadership practices in informal organizations. The study concludes that meaningful leadership in culinary outlets is built through trust, open communication, and ability to build significant relationships with employees.

This study aims to understand the meaning of adaptive leadership in modern organizations facing transformations in work culture during the era of disruption. Using a phenomenological qualitative approach within the social constructivist paradigm, this research explores the lived experiences of leaders in interpreting change, uncertainty, and human values amid digitalization and organizational complexity. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and non-participant observation involving eight leaders from various industrial sectors in Indonesia and were analyzed using Colaizzi’s phenomenological analysis technique. The findings reveal that adaptive leadership is understood as a reflective and social process rooted in value awareness, empathy, and collective learning capacity. Adaptive leaders not only direct change but also facilitate learning and build trust through open communication and collaborative work cultures. Adaptive values such as flexibility, empathy, and moral reflection are key to shaping inclusive and sustainable organizational cultural transformation. Theoretically, this study extends the discourse on adaptive leadership within phenomenological and social contexts, while practically emphasizing the importance of value-based reflective leadership in navigating disruptive change.

This study aims to understand the meaning of halal lifestyle for Generation Z Muslim consumers in East Java through a phenomenological approach. In recent years, the concept of halal lifestyle is no longer limited to food and beverage consumption, but has expanded to include fashion, skincare, digital services, and even social media interactions. Generation Z, as digital natives, interprets halal not only as a religious rule, but also as an identity, a social trend, and a form of self-actualization. This study integrates the results of previous empirical studies that show that halal awareness, religious education, marketing strategies, and the influence of public figures play a significant role in shaping halal behavior among the younger generation. The results of the literature review indicate that Generation Z in East Java experiences complex dynamics in adopting a halal lifestyle, ranging from identity dilemmas, ethical challenges, to the influence of local culture. This phenomenological study confirms that halal lifestyle is a multidimensional phenomenon influenced by spiritual values, consumption rationality, and digital interactions. These findings are expected to provide a conceptual contribution to the study of Muslim consumer behavior and form the basis for developing a halal industry that is more adaptive to the characteristics of the younger generation..

This research is motivated by the crisis of public trust experienced by the National Zakat Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BAZNAS RI) following the receipt of a donation of Rp1.5 billion from McDonald's Indonesia, which is considered to be affiliated with the Israeli McDonald's chain. This crisis has led to public rejection and questions about BAZNAS RI's credibility as a national zakat management institution. This research aims to: (1) analyze the crisis management strategies implemented by the Public Relations division of BAZNAS RI, and (2) examine the forms of crisis response strategies used in handling the issue. The theory used is Situational Crisis Communication Theory (SCCT), with a qualitative approach and phenomenological method. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews and observations. The results of the study indicate that BAZNAS RI Public Relations implemented three stages of crisis management strategies, namely pre-crisis, during crisis, and post-crisis. In the pre-crisis stage, media monitoring, internal meetings, and the formation of a crisis communication team were conducted. In the crisis stage, strategic steps were taken through coordination with partners, issuing official statements, terminating cooperation with McDonald's Indonesia, and publishing positive content. Support from public figures was also leveraged to restore the organization's image. In the post-crisis phase, issue monitoring and evaluation of collaboration partners were conducted. The response strategy focused on a rebuilding and bolstering approach through apologies, strengthening a positive image, and affirming humanitarian values. These findings underscore the importance of empathetic, transparent, and value-oriented communication in addressing the crisis of trust in philanthropic institutions.

This study aims to explore the meaning of hospitality as experienced by front office employees of five-star hotels in South Kuta, Bali, using a phenomenological approach. As the frontline in guest interactions, the subjective experience of employees significantly influences service quality, guest satisfaction, and the hotel's image. Data collection was carried out through semi-structured interviews with 18 informants, observation, and internal documentation. Data analysis followed a descriptive phenomenological procedure to produce rich contextual descriptions. The findings indicate that hospitality for front office employees is complex and influenced by both internal and external factors, including professional identity, emotional labor, and the quality of interpersonal relations with guests. Although existing theoretical frameworks are relevant, there are gaps between theory and practice in stress management and the effectiveness of compensation. Recommendations include the development of emotional training programs, non-financial rewards, and employee involvement in job redesign and retention strategies based on competence development. These strategies are expected to improve job satisfaction, service quality, and guest loyalty.

This research presents a phenomenological inquiry aimed at deconstructing the conventional marketing paradigm and offering a deeper understanding of alternative practices. It specifically explores the anti-marketing strategy grounded in Islamic values as implemented at Warung Jendil Mbah Yamah, a traditional micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) located in Blitar, East Java. Employing a qualitative approach combined with a phenomenological method, the study gathered rich and nuanced data through several techniques, including in-depth interviews with nine carefully selected informants, participatory observation over an extended period, and systematic documentation studies. The thematic data analysis conducted by the researchers revealed that the warung’s anti-marketing strategy rests firmly on three interconnected pillars: (1) a strong reliance on organic word-of-mouth  communication rather than paid advertising, (2) the deliberate creation of an authentic, personal, and inclusive customer experience that builds emotional bonds with visitors, and (3) the consistent integration of Islamic ethical values into every aspect of business operations. These findings provide a meaningful theoretical contribution by synthesizing the concepts of anti-marketing and Islamic entrepreneurship into a new model of “authentic marketing,” where ethical and spiritual values serve as the strategic foundation for long-term sustainability. In practical terms, the results offer guidance for the broader development of MSMEs in Indonesia, showing that authenticity, ethical commitment, and adherence to core values can represent a stronger and more sustainable competitive advantage than conventional promotional strategies.

Sustainable food security is a strategic issue in rural development that demands a comprehensive approach based on local communities. This community service activity aims to provide socialization and education about sustainable food security through a socio-economic phenomenological approach, focusing on the role of farmer housewives in Pondidaha Village, Konawe Regency. The implementation methods included educational lectures, focus group discussions (FGDs), field visits, and hands-on practice on sustainable food management, involving 20 farmer housewife respondents. The results showed that 80% of participants gained an adequate understanding of the concept of sustainable food security, local food diversification strategies, and an active role in improving family welfare through strengthening socio-economic capacity. The main challenges identified include limited access to resources, the dual role of housewives, and seasonal income instability. The solutions implemented include sustainable agriculture management training, food diversification counseling, and increased local market access. The socio-economic phenomenological approach provides a perspective that the life experiences, cultural values, and habits of farmer housewives are key elements in the success of food security programs at the community level. This activity contributes to increasing public awareness, skills, and participation in realizing sustainable food security, as well as strengthening the role of women in rural development based on local wisdom. This study aims to describe the extent to which hobbyists perceive photography as a means of self-expression and anxiety reduction. Photography, as a form of visual art, provides a space for individuals to creatively express their emotions, thoughts, and life experiences. Through photography, individuals can convey things that are difficult to express verbally, including feelings of anxiety, stress, or confusion. The method used in this study is a qualitative method, where data is collected through in-depth interviews and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) to explore the subjective experiences of participants in more depth. The subjects in this study were 21-year-old students who have had a photography hobby for 4 to 5 years. The number of subjects in this study was 3 people who were selected purposively based on their active involvement in photography activities. Data analysis techniques used included interview transcription, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions based on the data collected from each subject. The results show that the three subjects have many similarities in their views on the psychological benefits of photography, despite differences in their respective focuses and approaches. In general, they stated that photography helps them express themselves, process and interpret past experiences, and reduce anxiety, especially in social situations or when interacting with others. Photography is also considered to increase self-confidence, provide a sense of control over situations, and serve as a medium for self-reflection. Thus, photography is not just a hobby, but also serves as a positive coping mechanism for maintaining mental health and emotional balance.

A manual attendance system was previously used to manage the attendance list of each employee. However, this application causes attendance fraud. Therefore, the attendance system was changed into a digital form to reduce attendance fraud and improve discipline. This qualitative study was conducted through the phenomenological method by examining the implementation of the Hadirr.com digital attendance system in a 72-branch retail network in Banten-Bogor. Data in this study was collected through in-depth interviews with 45 informants (HRD managers, branch supervisors, and employees) and participatory observation for 6 months. The findings revealed three main themes, namely the absenteeism fraud patterns that developed before and after implementation, changes in work culture related to attendance and discipline post-implementation, and social interaction patterns formed due to implementation. This study provides a conceptual framework on the determinants of a successful digital time attendance system in a multi-site retail environment.
