The development of digital technology and internet penetration are driving changes in consumer behavior and demanding that MSMEs not only adapt but also understand the operational motives and marketing channel integration strategies to face competition in the digital era. This study aims to examine the operational motives and technical adaptation processes of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Bali in integrating online and offline marketing channels through an omnichannel strategy to respond to intense market competition in the digital era. This descriptive qualitative research uses a multiple case study approach in three different MSME sectors: goods maintenance services, creative services, and fashion retail. Data collection was conducted through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and a review of digital activities, then analyzed through single-case and cross-case stages. The results show that MSMEs optimize digital channels as instruments to expand reach and trigger consumer emotional engagement through a visual storytelling approach, while physical stores are crucially maintained as points of sensory validation. Functional integration has been proven to accommodate the shift in consumer behavior towards a hybrid decision-making pattern. In this pattern, consumers conduct information searches and initial evaluations online, but tend to shift to offline interactions to validate quality and finalize transactions to minimize purchase risk. In conclusion, cross-channel operational synergy has proven essential in boosting the competitive advantage of MSMEs.

This study examines the implementation of Islamic business ethics in e-commerce transactions, with a specific focus on the Shopee platform. The research is motivated by the increasing growth of digital commerce accompanied by various ethical issues such as product misrepresentation, lack of transparency, and weak accountability of sellers. The objective of this study is to analyze how ethical principles, including honesty, fairness, and responsibility, are applied in online transactions. This research employs a qualitative approach using a systematic literature review method by analyzing 20 relevant scholarly articles published between 2020 and 2026. The findings reveal that although the platform provides adequate transactional systems, ethical violations are still prevalent, primarily due to information asymmetry between sellers and consumers. Trust emerges as the most influential factor in purchasing decisions, while perceived risk and security play supporting roles in shaping consumer behavior. Additionally, economic incentives such as promotions often override ethical considerations in influencing consumer decisions. The study implies that strengthening ethical enforcement, enhancing platform supervision, and improving consumer digital literacy are essential to ensure a sustainable and trustworthy e-commerce ecosystem.

Social media has evolved into a significant platform where consumers freely express their opinions, experiences, and levels of satisfaction regarding various products, including those offered by Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The comments and reviews shared by customers on these platforms contain diverse sentiments that can serve as valuable indicators of how consumers perceive product quality. Understanding these sentiments is crucial for MSME owners, as it allows them to evaluate their products and adapt to market expectations more effectively. This study aims to analyze customer sentiment toward MSME products on social media by utilizing the Naïve Bayes algorithm, a widely used classification method in text mining. The data used in this research consist of customer comments collected from various social media platforms. The research process involves several stages, including data collection, manual labeling of sentiments, text preprocessing (such as tokenization, case folding, and stopword removal), and splitting the dataset into training and testing subsets. Subsequently, the classification process is carried out using the Naïve Bayes algorithm to categorize sentiments into positive, negative, and neutral classes. The results of this study demonstrate that the Naïve Bayes method is effective in classifying customer sentiments with a satisfactory level of accuracy. These findings provide a comprehensive overview of consumer perceptions regarding the quality of MSME products. Furthermore, this research is expected to assist MSME business owners in understanding customer feedback more systematically and using it as a basis for improving product quality and enhancing customer satisfaction in a competitive digital marketplace.

The development of digital technology has transformed trading patterns through the emergence of live shopping, a phenomenon that enables real-time interaction between sellers and consumers. Although it offers marketing efficiency, this model poses significant legal risks, including misleading information, promotional manipulation, and product non-conformity. This study aims to analyze legal certainty in consumer protection within live shopping transactions, examine the forms of business actors’ liability for consumer losses, and identify obstacles to regulatory implementation along with efforts to strengthen supervision. The research method employed is normative legal research using both a statute approach and a conceptual approach. The results indicate that legal certainty in consumer protection within this ecosystem is grounded in the integration of Law No. 8 of 1999 (Consumer Protection Law) as the lex generalis and Government Regulation No. 80 of 2019 (Electronic Commerce/PMSE) as the lex specialis, which recognizes the validity of real-time electronic contracts. The legal liability of business actors is strict liability in nature, in accordance with Article 19 of the Consumer Protection Law, and may also be construed as a tort (Article 1365 of the Civil Code) in cases involving distortion of visual information. However, the effectiveness of these regulations is hindered by the ephemeral nature of transactions and low levels of digital literacy. This study recommends the implementation of technology-based supervisory systems (suptech), strengthening the oversight function of platforms (PPMSE), and policy synchronization between the Ministry of Trade and the Ministry of Communication and Informatics in standardizing business actor verification to ensure the security of the digital commerce ecosystem.

Homemade food is increasingly dominating the choices of consumers who are oriented towards a healthy lifestyle. However, the belief that self-cooking is synonymous with food safety is not always supported by scientific evidence. This Narrative Review aims to build an in-depth thematic synthesis of the various dimensions of food safety risks that arise in the process of preparing healthy homemade food, ranging from biological and chemical contamination, to human behavioral factors as the main agents of contamination. The study was conducted against seven reputable sources of scientific literature published between 2010–2025, including observational, experimental, cross-sectional, and review studies. Four main themes were identified: (1) risky behaviors in the household kitchen as the dominant factor; (2) unexpected cross-contamination pathways including table salt as a vector; (3) chemical and biological contaminants hidden in "healthy" materials; and (4) evidence-based interventions that have been proven to be effective. This review confirms that homemade food safety is a behavioral issue, not just a technical one, so the intervention approach must be multidimensional and sustainable.

In the digital era, e-commerce has developed not only as a platform for buying and selling activities but also as a strategic medium for marketing and business development. University students theoretically possess strong potential to become edupreneurs because they are closely connected to technology and supported by higher education environments. Nevertheless, the reality at Al-Amien Prenduan University indicates that students tend to act more as consumers in e-commerce rather than as entrepreneurs. This condition creates a gap between theoretical expectations and practical implementation, raising questions regarding the effectiveness of e-commerce in encouraging students’ entrepreneurial spirit. This study examines strategies for strengthening Edupreneurship graduates through the optimization of e-commerce. The research specifically explores ways to maximize e-commerce in supporting the development of Edupreneurship graduate profiles and improving graduates’ competitiveness in entrepreneurship and employment sectors. A qualitative approach with a case study method was employed at Al-Amien Prenduan University. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving female students of the Islamic Education Edupreneurship program who actively engage in entrepreneurial activities through e-commerce platforms. The findings reveal that optimizing e-commerce can be achieved through identifying students’ digital competencies and needs, as well as utilizing flexible technologies that support broader market access and global transactions. In addition, strategies such as enhancing digital marketing creativity, strengthening market research capabilities, and understanding consumer behavior significantly contribute to entrepreneurial development. The study concludes that e-commerce effectively fosters entrepreneurial attitudes, adaptability, and competitiveness among students in facing the challenges of the digital economy.

Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to respondents who are familiar with or have interacted with Hamata Studios, using a non-probability sampling technique with a purposive sampling method. Data analysis techniques include descriptive and inferential statistical analysis using path analysis, as well as mediation testing using the Sobel test and Variance Accounted For (VAF). The results indicate that e-WOM has a positive and significant effect on both purchase intention and brand trust. Furthermore, brand trust has a positive and significant effect on purchase intention. Mediation testing reveals that brand trust significantly mediates the relationship between e-WOM and purchase intention. In conclusion, positive e-WOM can enhance brand trust, which in turn increases consumers’ purchase intention.

Intellectual property rights (IPR) are an important legal tool for trademark ownership, protecting business quality, and protecting a company's economic interests. Consumers build trust in trademarks because they signal distinct product quality and reflect a positive and consistent corporate image. Trademark protection is regulated by national law under Trademark Law No. 20 of 2016, which provides legal certainty for trademark owners. This law stipulates that a trademark is only valid if it has distinctive elements, is not imitative, and has been officially registered with an authorized institution. The "first come, first served" principle in Indonesian trademark law can be interpreted as a mechanism that grants rights to the first party to file a valid application. However, the application of this principle in practice often raises complex legal issues, particularly when a trademark has already gained widespread public recognition prior to its formal registration. This study focuses on evaluating this legal protection through a normative legal research method by examining applicable laws, regulations, and court decisions related to trademark disputes in Indonesia. The Geprek Bensu dispute has attracted public attention because it highlights the conflict between legal provisions regarding trademark ownership and public perception. This case demonstrates that the existing legal framework still requires further refinement to balance the interests of trademark registrants with those of parties who have built public reputation through prior commercial use. Therefore, legal reform and consistent law enforcement are essential to ensure fair and comprehensive trademark protection in Indonesia.
