Abstract. PT XYZ, a wooden furniture manufacturing company, served as the research site for this study which applied the Theory of Constraints (TOC) method to analyze production performance and identify bottlenecks. The company faces capacity imbalances between workstations, resulting in production targets that have not been achieved optimally. Data collection involved direct observation and interviews with related parties in the production area. The analysis was conducted by comparing the required capacity with the available capacity at each production workstation. The findings reveal that solid processing, machining, sanding, assembling, painting, and packing have sufficient available capacities to meet production requirements, thus categorized as non-bottleneck processes. In contrast, the panel processing station is identified as the main bottleneck due to its highest workload among all processes. By implementing the Theory of Constraints, the company can identify major constraints and establish improvement priorities to enhance production flow smoothness. It is expected that improvements in bottleneck processes will increase production efficiency, balance capacity among workstations, and support more optimal achievement of production targets. Keywords: bottleneck; capacity; manufacturing; production performance; theory of constraints   Abstrak. Nursing care in hospitals is still below the established standard of 80%, thus reflecting suboptimal nurse performance. This condition is thought to be influenced by factors such as rewards, workload, length of service and supervision. This study aims to analyze the relationship between rewards, workload, length of service, and supervision with nurse performance in the Inpatient Unit of Ratu Zalecha Martapura Regional Hospital. This study used a quantitative method with an observational analytical design using a cross-sectional approach. The study sample consisted of 152 nurses selected using cluster proportional random sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using the chi-square test and multiple logistic regression. The results showed a significant relationship between rewards and nurse performance (p-value=<0.001), workload and nurse performance (p<0.001), and supervision and nurse performance (p-value=<0.001). Length of service did not show a significant relationship with nurse performance (p-value=0,968). This study examines the effect of workload and work-life balance on employee performance through job satisfaction among working master’s students in Jakarta. This population faces dual demands from professional and academic responsibilities, making the maintenance of job satisfaction and performance increasingly challenging. Drawing on the Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) Model and Social Exchange Theory, this study investigates how job demands and resources influence employee outcomes. A quantitative causal approach was employed using data from 57 working master’s students collected through convenience sampling. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4. The results show that workload negatively and significantly affects job satisfaction but has no significant direct effect on employee performance. In contrast, work-life balance positively and significantly affects both job satisfaction and employee performance. Job satisfaction positively affects employee performance and fully mediates the relationship between workload and employee performance, while partially mediating the relationship between work-life balance and employee performance. These findings support the JD-R Model and Social Exchange Theory by highlighting the role of job satisfaction as a mechanism linking work conditions and employee performance. Practically, organizations and higher education institutions should support work-life balance and manage workload effectively to enhance satisfaction and performance among working postgraduate students.

This study aims to examine the role of teachers in developing emotional intelligence among adolescent students at SMP Kesatrian Surakarta. Emotional intelligence is an essential aspect that supports academic achievement, social relationships, and character development. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 15 teachers teaching grades VII to IX, participant observations in classroom settings, and analysis of relevant school documents. The findings reveal that teachers play a strategic role in fostering students’ emotional intelligence through three primary approaches: emotional modeling by demonstrating appropriate emotional management (45%), facilitating emotion-based learning activities (30%), and evaluating students’ emotional intelligence development (25%). These roles significantly contribute to improving students’ self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, and social skills. Supporting factors include emotional intelligence training programs provided by the local education authority and the school’s commitment to creating a supportive learning environment. However, major challenges consist of high administrative workloads among teachers (70%) and limited counseling facilities (50%). This study recommends continuous teacher training, the integration of emotional intelligence modules into lesson plans, and collaboration with school psychologists to ensure long-term monitoring and development of students’ emotional competencies. The findings contribute to the enrichment of emotional intelligence literature within the context of Indonesian secondary education.

The Sehat Indonesiaku (ASIK) Application is a key policy instrument of Indonesia's Ministry of Health designed to improve community health data management, particularly toddler data in Integrated Service Posts (Posyandu). However, implementation at the village level continues to face operational challenges. This study analyzes the implementation of the ASIK program in managing toddler data at Posyandu in Kebonsari Village, Sidoarjo Regency, using George C. Edward III's policy implementation framework. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation from purposively selected informants comprising Posyandu cadres, public health center midwives, and village officials. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña (2014). Findings reveal that ASIK implementation has not been optimal due to constraints across all four Edward III variables: uneven program socialization (communication), limited digital literacy and inadequate device-network infrastructure (resources), dual manual-digital recording workloads (disposition), and over-reliance on core cadres (bureaucratic structure). Nonetheless, adaptive responses including continuous training, structured task delegation, and village government support have been established. This study highlights that the success of ASIK implementation fundamentally depends on human resource readiness, effective policy communication, and institutional support at the local level.

This study aims to examine the impact of academic burnout on students’ mental health in the context of hybrid learning through a literature review approach. The rapid transformation of learning systems in higher education, particularly the integration of online and offline methods, has increased academic demands and adaptation challenges for students. This condition potentially triggers academic burnout, which is characterized by emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and decreased academic achievement. This research employs a literature review method by analyzing relevant scientific articles published between 2019-2025 obtained from indexed national journals and open-access sources. The findings indicate that academic burnout is still commonly experienced by students, generally at a moderate level, and has a significant impact on mental health, including increased stress, emotional fatigue, and decreased academic performance. The study also identifies several influencing factors, including internal factors such as self-efficacy and hardiness, as well as external factors such as social support, learning environment, and academic workload. Furthermore, technological developments, particularly Artificial Intelligence, have the potential to be utilized as an early detection and prevention tool for academic burnout. This study implies the importance of developing adaptive learning strategies and psychological interventions to support students’ well-being in hybrid learning environments.

Irregular sleep patterns are a common issue experienced by university students and are often considered a normal part of academic life. However, such conditions can have negative effects on students’ learning concentration and cognitive function. Poor sleep patterns are generally influenced by various factors, including high academic workload, habitual late-night activities, poor time management, and excessive use of electronic devices at night. This study aims to examine the relationship between sleep patterns and students’ learning concentration, identify factors contributing to irregular sleep patterns, and analyze constraints as well as propose solutions to improve sleep quality in order to enhance learning concentration. The method used in this scientific paper is a literature review, which involves examining relevant scientific sources such as research journals and academic literature related to sleep patterns and students’ learning concentration. The results of the review indicate that students with poor sleep patterns tend to experience physical fatigue, decreased immune function, cognitive impairment, and difficulties in maintaining focus and concentration during the learning process. In the long term, these conditions have the potential to reduce academic achievement and learning motivation. Therefore, it can be concluded that effective time management, limiting the use of electronic devices before bedtime, creating a conducive sleep environment, and support from universities through health education play an important role in improving students’ sleep patterns. With regular and high-quality sleep, students’ learning concentration is expected to improve, allowing the learning process and academic achievement to proceed optimally.
