Bureaucratic reform at the village level is a crucial prerequisite for achieving professional, effective, and accountable village governance. One of the key pillars of this reform is the implementation of a merit system in the management of village human resources, particularly in the recruitment and appointment of village officials. In this context, the Computer-Assisted Test (CAT) has emerged as a policy innovation designed to enhance objectivity, transparency, and procedural fairness in the selection of village officials. This study aims to analyse the contribution of CAT implementation to strengthening the merit system and its impact on transforming village social conditions, especially in building public trust in village government. Quantitative data were collected through a survey of village residents and analysed using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and multiple linear regression in SPSS. Qualitative data were obtained through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis to elaborate further and explain the quantitative findings. The results indicate that transparency, objectivity, and procedural fairness in the selection process have positive and significant effects on public trust in village government, with procedural fairness emerging as the most influential variable. Qualitative findings confirm that public acceptance of selection outcomes is more strongly influenced by perceptions of fairness and openness in the process than by the selection results themselves. This study concludes that the implementation of CAT functions not only serves as a technical selection instrument but also as an institutional mechanism that helps transform village social relations from patronage-based practices toward merit-based village governance.

This study aims to examine the potential of processing purple sweet potatoes into stick-shaped snack products as an effort to improve the economy of Tebing Linggahara Village. Purple sweet potato is a local commodity with high nutritional value, antioxidant content, and promising market prospects when processed into modern snack products. The research method used was a descriptive approach consisting of observation, interviews, and direct product processing practices with the local community. The findings indicate that processing purple sweet potatoes into snack sticks provides higher economic value compared to selling fresh sweet potatoes, which generally have lower market prices. In addition, the community gained knowledge of food processing techniques, hygiene standards, packaging, and effective marketing strategies to enhance product competitiveness. Thus, purple sweet potato stick processing has the potential to serve as a sustainable local MSME development strategy, thereby improving the welfare and economic independence of Tebing Linggahara Village residents.

Effective household financial management is a crucial pillar for the economic well-being of every family, particularly in the face of an uncertain economy and the challenges of modern life. Women hold a strategic position in improving household management because they have a greater ability to carry out household activities compared to men. The purpose of this activity is to highlight the role of women in enhancing household financial management, thereby supporting the sustainability of their families. This community service method employs a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing data collection techniques that include initial surveys or observations, questionnaires, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), and documentation in the form of photos, videos, and notes taken during the activity. The findings of this community service indicate that two activities are carried out: interactive lectures on family financial management and training on managing family finances. The results showed that 11 out of 13 participants had an understanding of family financial management education for Kuta village residents. In contrast, two people did not have a clear understanding of the training and lectures provided. These results indicate that not all RT mothers in Kuta village have the same sense of family financial management. Therefore, in the future, socialization and training in family finances are needed, involving more RT mothers in Desa Kuta.

According to the anthropometric standards for evaluating children's nutritional status, stunting is a growth failure condition based on the weight-for-age (W/A) or height-for-age (H/A) index, where the measurement results fall within the threshold (Z-Score) of -2 SD to -3 SD (short/stunted) and -3 SD (very short/severely stunted). In 2023, 27.3% of the toddlers in Penfui Timur Village were still stunted. The purpose of this study is to ascertain how stunting reduction policies are being implemented in Penfui Timur Village, Kupang Regency. This research used a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques of in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. The informants in this study is 8 informants, consisting of 2 main informants and 6 supporting informants. The main informants are the head of the Penfui Timur village and the nutrition staff of the Tarus Health Center. The supporting informants are 2 posyandu cadres, mothers of stunted toddlers, pregnant women, village residents, and teenage girls. The data analysis process in this research begins by collecting data from interviews and then reducing the resulting data. After that, the data is presented and concluded. The study's result showed that although the policy has been applied effectively, it still falls short of the implementation theory's requirements. The implementers' low educational and human resource levels, the ignorance of expectant mothers and parents of children with stunted growth, and the lack of facilities and infrastructure are the contributing reasons. Although the village government's communication component with other implementing parties has been functioning smoothly, communication with the leaders of the target community has not been at its best. The policy implementers are already familiar with the methods and duties associated with their respective areas of responsibility. The bureaucratic structure's policy implementers are already familiar with the technical facets of reducing stunting. Based on the results of the study, it is recommended to increasing the knowledge involved in  implementation policy for stunting reduction

There are many benefits to a village having a website that is managed seriously. Lighten the government's workload and make things easier for village communities. This service activity will be carried out in Paddinging Village, which is one of the villages in Sanrobone District, Takalar Regency, South Sulawesi. This consideration regarding location selection is because Paddinging Village does not yet have a village website. On the other hand, Paddinging Village has several natural potentials which can be maximized by disseminating information to people inside and outside the village. Paddinging Village has quite large natural and tourism potential but has not received special attention from the government. The expanse of mountains and rice fields as well as the mist that sometimes covers it, accompanied by cool air are the characteristics of Paddinging Village. Apart from that, Paddinging Village has a pine forest which is very suitable as a camping spot on the weekend. Even the water there comes from springs directly from the mountains, which can be used as a basic ingredient for a mineral drinking water business.

Jogosatru Village, Sukodono Sub-district, Sidoarjo Regency, identified a major problem related to the lack of adequate facilities, especially related to the house signs of the RT and RW heads. These signs are important as a guide for newcomers to facilitate navigation within the village and also facilitate administrative processes, such as obtaining licenses. To overcome this problem, KKN group 09 students from Sunan Giri University Surabaya have created a program to provide and install information signs for RT and RW houses. The activity began by conducting a field survey to determine strategic locations to install signboards. Once the location was determined, the next step involved drafting the signage, purchasing tools, and acquiring the necessary materials. The process consists of stages from planning to installation of the signs, with the aim of improving accessibility and administrative efficiency for Jogosatru Village residents.

Background: Waste that continues to accumulate every year is an unresolved environmental problem at the regional to global level. This problem can actually be overcome by applying good waste management according to its type (organic and inorganic). However, waste management is still rarely practiced in the community, for example for residents of Tegal Sari Village RT 1 and 3, Satui District, Tanah Bumbu Regency. The waste segregation, disposal, and processing system in the village is not optimal. Objective: Therefore, the Desa Relasi program aimed to increase the knowledge and awareness of residents in managing organic and inorganic waste through Takakura composting and inorganic crafts. Methods: The program was formed based on the results of problem priorities obtained during PBL through identification and analysis of health problems in the village by collecting secondary and primary data (with interviews and questionnaires). Results: Activities in the program are in the form of counseling, cadre debriefing, demonstration, and practice. The evaluation instruments used were pre-post test questionnaires (I and II), observation, and evaluation through chat. Based on the results of the knowledge test during counseling, 72.73% of residents experienced an increase in knowledge, 22.73% were stagnant, and 4.55% experienced a decrease (pre-post test I). While in post-test I - II, 77.72% experienced an increase, 18.18% did not experience an increase or decrease, and 4.55% experienced a decrease. Conclusion: There was an increase in knowledge in most participants regarding organic and inorganic waste management. Therefore, it is hoped that Tegal Sari Village residents will be able to apply good waste management so that it can produce use, sale and aesthetic value and advance the village.
