This study aims to analyze reflection and citizenship discussion as strategies to strengthen democratic awareness and student participation in Civic Education learning. The background of this research is the prevalence of traditional, teacher-centered teaching strategies, which hinder student engagement and understanding of democratic principles. This study combines library research with a qualitative approach. Data on citizenship education, democracy education, reflections, and discussions were collected from various sources, including books, papers, scientific journals, and related documents. The results show that reflection can improve students’ awareness of democratic values, responsibility, tolerance, and the importance of deliberation. Meanwhile, citizenship discussion effectively increases active student participation, argumentation skills, cooperation, and confidence in expressing opinions. The integration of reflection and discussion creates Civic Education learning that is more interactive, critical, and meaningful. The main obstacles include limited learning time, low teacher readiness, and passive student learning culture. Therefore, learning innovation that encourages active student involvement is needed. This study concludes that reflection and citizenship discussion are effective strategies to develop young generations who are democratic, responsible, and participative in national and civic life

The focus of this research is to determine how the implementation of socialization carried out by the General Election Commission (KPU) of Ciamis Regency in an effort to increase public participation in the 2024 Regent and Deputy Regent Election, especially in the Ciamis District area. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews with related parties, direct observation of socialization activities, and collection of supporting documentation. The data obtained are analyzed qualitatively through the process of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the Ciamis Regency KPU carried out socialization by referring to the Theory of Three Elements of Socialization proposed by Haryanto (2018) in the book Political Socialization: An Initial Understanding. The three elements include: Socialization Agents, namely parties who play a role in conveying information, such as KPU officers, District Election Committees (PPK), and community leaders, Socialization Materials, including information regarding election stages, voting procedures, the importance of voting rights, and the role of the community in maintaining democracy, Socialization Methods, which are carried out through face-to-face meetings, leaflet distribution, banner installation, social media, and community-based activities. Although socialization activities have been carried out in a planned manner and involved various media, research results indicate that their implementation has not been optimal. Some obstacles found include limited reach to all levels of society, minimal participation in socialization activities, and a lack of innovation in information delivery methods. In conclusion, the socialization carried out by the Ciamis Regency KPU for the 2024 Regent and Deputy Regent Election has been running but needs to be increased in intensity, creativity, and equal distribution of targets so that voter participation can be maximized.

The younger generation in Indonesia faces significant challenges in the form of an identity crisis and moral degradation due to the increasingly strong influence of other cultures in the era of globalization and the fifth industrial revolution. A pragmatic culture that does not always align with national identity puts pressure on Pancasila principles such as belief in God, humanity, unity, democracy, and social justice. As a result, character education integrated into social studies instruction serves as a tactical tool to reintroduce these fundamental principles to students from an early age. This study, using qualitative methodology and a descriptive design, found that contextualized and project-based social studies instruction not only enhances students' understanding of Pancasila values but also fosters the growth of critical thinking skills, social empathy, reflective attitudes, and a spirit of cooperation. When combined with digital tools like Canva, Taman Siswa's teachings—niteni, niroake, and nambahi—have proven successful in developing students' creativity and enhancing their purpose and enjoyment in learning.

The democratic system as stated in Article 1 Paragraph (2) of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, that: "is marked by direct democracy by the people, from the people, and for the people". So the head of state who before the amendment was elected by the MPR RI has changed where he is elected directly by the people through the election of the president and vice president and even regional heads (regional elections). Government for the people means that the power given from and by the people to the government must be exercised for the benefit of the people. Therefore, there needs to be government sensitivity to the needs of the people and to the aspirations of the people which need to be accommodated and then followed up through the issuance of policies or through the implementation of government work programs. This paper uses normative legal research conducted with a statutory and conceptual regulatory approach which will later assess the Indonesian General Election in the Pancasila.

This study aims to examine the practice of money politics that occurred in the 2024 Legislative Election in Alor Regency and its impact on the quality of democracy in the region. Money politics is a highly relevant issue because it has the potential to undermine the basic principles of democracy, reduce electoral integrity, and create inequities in political representation. This practice generally involves giving money or goods to voters with the aim of influencing their political choices, which of course reduces the quality of public political participation. A qualitative approach was used in this study, with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews with various parties involved in the election process, direct field observations, and a review of documents relevant to the elections in Alor Regency. This technique allows for more in-depth data collection and provides a better understanding of how money politics occurs at the local level. The results show that the practice of money politics still frequently occurs in the lead-up to election day, both in the form of giving cash and goods to voters. This phenomenon indicates a decline in the quality of public political participation, where political choices are more influenced by material rewards than by considering the competence of legislative candidates. This indicates a disorientation in the democratic process, where voters focus more on immediate gains than on the capacity and integrity of candidates. The impact of this money politics practice is significant for local democracy. The decline in public trust in the political process exacerbates the dependency between voters and political elites, which in turn leads to inequality in political access and representation. Therefore, this study recommends strengthening political education for the public and stricter law enforcement against perpetrators of money politics to improve the quality of democracy in Alor Regency.

This paper discusses in depth the relationship between green constitution and green democracy in the context of environmental protection in Indonesia. In the modern era, environmental issues have become increasingly urgent, especially with the growing threats to ecosystems due to human activities. This research raises several problems, including the lack of public understanding regarding environmental legal norms contained in the 1945 Constitution, as well as the challenges faced in its implementation. The main objective of this research is to explore and analyze the connection between the principles of green constitution as stipulated in Article 28H paragraph (1) and Article 33 paragraph (4) of the 1945 Constitution with the existing environmental policy practices. This study also aims to identify the dynamics influencing the development of environmental protection law in Indonesia and to assess the effectiveness of the policies that have been implemented. The method used in this research is a normative juridical approach with descriptive analysis. Through a systematic literature review, this study examines various legal sources, official documents, and relevant literature related to the theme of green constitution and environmental protection. The findings indicate that although environmental norms have been accommodated in the constitution, significant challenges remain in terms of implementation, including the misalignment between government policies and constitutional mandates. This research concludes that to achieve optimal environmental protection goals, continuous evaluation and oversight of the implementation of existing laws are necessary. Furthermore, closer collaboration between the government, society, and other stakeholders is crucial to ensure that the policies adopted are not merely symbolic but also effective in protecting the environment. Moreover, this study emphasizes the importance of integrating the concept of ecocracy into public policy, which can serve as a guideline in making environmentally conscious decisions. Thus, the protection and management of the environment can be effectively and sustainably realized, creating a safe and healthy environment for future generations.
