This study examines the intricate relationship between language use in literature and the cultural values it reflects. Language serves not only as a medium of communication but also as a vessel for cultural identity, beliefs, and social norms. Through a comparative analysis of literary works from diverse cultural backgrounds, this research highlights how authors employ language to convey their cultural narratives, ideologies, and ethical frameworks. The study focuses on various literary genres, including poetry, prose, and drama, to illustrate how linguistic choices—such as diction, syntax, and figurative language—embody the values and traditions of specific cultures. Additionally, the research investigates the impact of historical and social contexts on language use in literature, revealing how cultural shifts and globalization influence literary expression. By analyzing texts from different periods and regions, this study aims to demonstrate that literature not only reflects cultural values but also plays a crucial role in shaping and challenging them. Ultimately, the findings underscore the importance of understanding language in literature as a key to unlocking the deeper meanings of cultural identity and heritage.

Language use in everyday life is often incorrect, particularly in informal conversations. The correct and proper use of language also impacts an individual's reading process. Quality writing is characterized by the use of good and correct language conventions. However, many still encounter language errors in texts. Analyzing syntactic errors in short stories is necessary to identify and explain them. The aim of this study was to analyze language errors in the short stories "The Ceded Storm" and "The Red Forest" by Fauzia, as part of an intensive reading program for Indonesian language and literature students at Semarang State University. The study employed deductive methods and theoretical approaches, conducting analyses by identifying language errors in the short stories. A qualitative descriptive approach was used as part of the methodology, while language error analysis incorporated a theoretical framework. Data collection techniques included reading and note-taking. The data collection process involved three steps: (1) data collection, (2) data analysis, and (3) data presentation. Researchers examined the short stories "The Ceded Storm" and "The Red Forest" by Fauzia. The research highlighted numerous potential errors, including capitalization, punctuation, word choice or diction, usage of strong words, and conjunctions. The study aimed to identify factors contributing to the short stories' lack of quality and provide insights through a detailed analysis.

The research method uses descriptive analysis with Pan and Kosicki's framing analysis approach. The main data used comes from political news published in the media tvonenews.com in the period 14 November 2023-14 January 2024. Then the data was analyzed using Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki's framing analysis using four analytical structures, namely syntax, script, thematic , and rhetorical. To explain the interpretation of the news, the author uses Van Djik's critical discourse analysis with analysis of social cognition and social context. The results of the research show that Pan and Kosicki's framing analysis revealed that the news framing presented by tvonenews.com was unbalanced and in favor of one of the partners, which could influence people's attitudes and provide different interpretations in society.
