This study aims to evaluate the implementation and impact of an English training workshop for early childhood education teachers in Surakarta. The study employed a program evaluation design using a qualitative descriptive approach involving twenty playgroup and kindergarten teachers. The workshop was conducted over four days and was designed based on a needs analysis obtained through a pre-test and preliminary interviews. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test results, reflective questionnaires, and semi-structured interviews. The qualitative data were analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings indicate that the workshop had a positive impact on participants’ English proficiency as well as their affective aspects, particularly their confidence in using English in the classroom. The thematic analysis identified three main themes: emotional responses, understanding of the material, and collaboration. Participants demonstrated increased enthusiasm, reduced anxiety, and improved self-confidence. Contextual and practical materials helped participants connect theoretical concepts with classroom practice. Furthermore, interactive activities and collaborative discussions strengthened professional engagement and peer learning. These findings confirm that structured and needs-based training is effective in supporting the sustainable professional development of early childhood education teachers and contributes to improving the quality of English instruction in the classroom.

This study was conducted to analyze the relationship between students’ learning motivation and their perception of mathematics with mathematics achievement among tenth-grade students at SMA Al Islam 1 Surakarta. Mathematics was chosen as the focus because it is often considered a subject that presents significant challenges for students, both in terms of conceptual understanding and in shaping positive attitudes toward learning. The study employed a correlational quantitative method, with the population consisting of all tenth-grade students and the sample limited to class X-9, comprising 36 students. The instruments used were a motivation questionnaire, a perception questionnaire, and mathematics learning outcomes obtained from mid-semester test scores. Data analysis included normality testing and Pearson correlation to identify the relationship among variables. The results indicated that learning motivation did not have a significant correlation with mathematics achievement. In contrast, students’ perception of mathematics showed a significant correlation with their academic performance. These findings suggest that students’ positive perceptions of mathematics can play a crucial role in supporting better academic achievement, while motivation alone may not guarantee higher performance. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of the factors influencing mathematics learning outcomes and provides a foundation for further research to develop more comprehensive tools for measuring motivation. Future studies are also encouraged to consider additional variables such as teaching strategies, parental involvement, and the overall learning environment in order to present a broader analysis of student success.

The rapid development of digital technology and the increasing demand for entrepreneurial competence in higher education require students to possess adequate digital literacy and financial literacy, as well as obtain continuous institutional support to shape and strengthen their entrepreneurial interest. This study aims to empirically analyze the influence of digital literacy, financial literacy, and institutional support on the entrepreneurial interest of students in the Islamic Business Management Study Program at the Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business, UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta. A quantitative approach was used, involving 75 respondents selected through accidental sampling, while the research data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results of the study indicate that all three independent variables have a positive and significant effect on students' entrepreneurial interest, with the model contributing 42.7%. These findings highlight the importance of integrating digital competencies, effective financial management, and a supportive campus ecosystem to foster students' entrepreneurial intentions. This study provides practical implications for higher education institutions to strengthen curricula, learning facilities, and mentoring programs aimed at developing young, digitally-driven, and sustainable entrepreneurs.

Multiple diastema is a space or gap between two or more adjacent teeth. Diastema management can be corrected using removable orthodontic treatment and eliminating etiological factors. Treatment in this case shows the progress of successful treatment of multiple diastema in Soelastri General Hospital using removable orthodontic appliances based on the indications and needs of patient care. Case management: A 24-year-old woman came to Soelastri General Hospital Surakarta with complaints of gaps in the teeth between the 4 lower front incisors. The patient's bad habit history is known to be tongue thrusting. Intraoral examination found interdental gaps in the 4 lower incisors measuring 33.32 (1.6mm), 32.31 (1.2mm), 31.41 (1.1mm), 41.42 (1.3mm). Diastema closure with finger spring activation towards the mesial and labial arches of the upper and lower jaws. Activation was carried out gradually at each control so that the diastema at the fourth control on teeth 33-32 (0.5 mm). Conclusion: This shows that removable orthodontic appliances are effective for closing multiple diastema with mild to moderate degrees, with patient compliance in using the appliance and the effect of using a tongue crib in reducing the patient's tongue thrusting habit.

Nutritional problems during the growth phase of adolescent are mostly caused by consumption patterns. The most commonly used eating patterns during adolescent are foods that are high in calories, fat, sugar and salt. The habits of an unhealthy eating pattern can affect nutritional status. The foods most consumed by adolescent are often junk food and caffeinated beverages. All kinds of food and drinks are easily found around campuses surrounded by student. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between junk food consumption and caffeinated beverages to the nutritional status of students of the Faculty of Technology and Food Industry at Slamet Riyadi University, Surakarta. The respondents involved were students aged 18-24 years. Data was collected using a questionnaire and interview to the student. Data were analyzed using Chi-Square test. The results showed that factor affecting the nutritional status of student was mother’s education (p=0,000) and father’s education (p=0.000). Factors that do not affect nutritional status were energy intake (p=0.545), protein (p=0.085), fat (p=0.204) and carbohydrate (p=0.112), the amount of pocket money (p=0.310), the consumption level of junk food (p=0.671) and caffeinated drinks (p=0.535). The results showed that there was no significant relationship between the consumption patterns of junk food and caffeinated drinks on the nutritional status of students of the Faculty of Food Technology and Industry at Slamet Riyadi University, Surakarta. Permasalahan gizi yang terjadi saat pertumbuhan fase remaja lebih banyak disebabkan karena pola konsumsi.  Pola makan yang sering diterapkan pada masa remaja adalah makanan tinggi kalori, lemak, gula, dan garam. Pola makan yang tidak sehat dapat mempengaruhi status gizi seseorang. Makanan yang paling banyak dikonsumsi oleh kalangan remaja masuk dalam kategori junk food dan juga minuman berkafein. Makanan dan minuman kategori ini mudah ditemukan di sekitar kampus yang dikelilingi mahasiswa. Tujuan pada penelitian ini ialah menentukan hubungan pola konsumsi junk food dan minuman berkafein terhadap status gizi mahasiswa Fakultas Teknologi dan Industri Pangan di Universitas Slamet Riyadi, Surakarta. Responden yang terlibat ialah mahasiswa berusia 18-24 tahun. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan wawancara kepada mahasiswa. Analisis data menggunakan uji Chi-Square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang mempengaruhi status gizi mahasiswa adalah pendidikan ibu (p=0.000) dan pendidikan ayah (p=0.000). faktor yang tidak mempengaruhi status gizi ialah asupan energi (p=0.545), protein (p=0.085), lemak (p=0.204) and karbohidrat (p=0.112), jumlah uang saku (p=0.310), tingkat konsumsi junk food (p=0.671) dan minuman berkafein (p=0.535). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak terdapat hubungan signifikan antara pola konsumsi junk food dan minuman berkafein terhadap status gizi mahasiswa Fakultas Teknologi dan Industri Pangan Universitas Slamet Riyadi, Surakarta.

This research aims to determine the influence of the film Dirty Vote on the resistance of PPKn students at Sebelas Maret University (UNS) and identify the forms of resistance that emerge after watching the film. A quantitative approach is used with data analysis including validity, reliability, descriptive analysis, prerequisite tests, t tests, and coefficient of determination tests. The research results show the significant influence of the film Dirty Vote on the resistance of UNS PPKn students, although there are other factors that also influence it. The forms of resistance that emerge include intellectual, participatory, collective, normative, direct and symbolic resistance. Critical thinking skills are crucial in preparing students to face global challenges, particularly in economics, which utilizes the Merdeka curriculum based on a deep learning approach. The purpose of this study was to determine students’ critical thinking skills through the implementation of the ALBICI (Active Learning Based Interactive Conceptual) learning model within the Merdeka curriculum based on a deep learning approach. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design, conducted through reviews and observations at SMA Islam 1 Surakarta. The results indicate that the implementation of the ALBICI interactive learning model can improve critical thinking skills within the Merdeka curriculum based on deep learning. This study also provides valuable guidance for educators seeking to implement effective teaching practices to enhance student interest and motivation, thus optimizing classroom activities.

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk (1) Mengembangkan bahan ajar Pendidikan Pancasila terintegrasi media pembelajaran komik studi pada fase F di SMA Batik 2 Surakarta; (2) Menguji kelayakan produk bahan ajar Pendidikan Pancasila terintegrasi media pembelajaran komik studi pada fase F di SMA Batik 2 Surakarta. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian RnD (Research and Development) dengan pendekatan model Sukmadinata melalui tiga tahapan, yaitu studi pendahuluan, Pengembangan produk, dan pengujian produk. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, angket, tes, dan studi dokumen. Uji validitas data kualitatif dengan triangulasi sumber dan metode, sedangkan data kuantitatif menggunakan uji validasi para ahli yaitu validator ahli materi, dan validator ahli media. Teknik analisis data meliputi analisis kualitatif dari hasil pengumpulan data dan analisis data kuantitatif dari uji N-Gain. Hasil penelitian Pengembangan ini yaitu (1) Pengembangan bahan ajar Pendidikan Pancasila terintegrasi media pembelajaran komik Dilakukan dengan tiga tahap yaitu studi pendahuluan untuk mengethaui bahan ajar yang digunakan, kemudian tahap pengembangan produk dimulai dengan Menyusun modul, Menyusun instrument, mengembangkan produk, dan dilakukan validasi kepada validator ahli, tahap terakhir pengujian produk dilakukan di kelas XI di SMA Batik 2 Surakarta; (2) Produk Pengembangan diuji validasi oleh para ahli dengan hasil validator materi sebesar 87% (Sangat layak), dan validator ahli media sebesar 98,33% (Sangat layak). Dari hasil validator materi maupun validator media dapat disimpulkan sangat layak sebagai bahan pembelajaran di dalam kelas. Setelah produk dinyatakan valid, kemudian dilakukan uji coba terbatas dan uji lapangan. Dari hasil uji N-Gain di kelas XI.1 didapatkan nilai sebesar 0,58 yang termasuk kategori efektif tingkat sedang. Kemudian di kelas XI.2 didapatkan nilai sebesar 0,63 yang termasuk kategori efektif tingkat sedang. Dari hasil Uji N-Gain uji lapangan maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan bahan ajar Pendidikan Pancasila terintegrasi media pembelajaran komik masuk dalam kategori efektif sedang. Social media management has become a strategic necessity for social and community organizations to enhance the effectiveness of public relations activities in the digital era. This community service program aims to strengthen the digital communication capacity of members of the Indonesian Doctors’ Wives Association (IIDI), Surakarta Branch, particularly in managing social media as a public communication channel. The training was conducted offline and combined theoretical sessions, technical demonstrations, and hands-on practice covering content strategy, basic photography, Canva-based content creation, content calendar development, and management of Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok accounts. Evaluation was carried out using pre-test and post-test instruments to assess participants’ improvement. The results show a significant increase in all competency indicators, especially in content creation, content scheduling, and social media administration skills. Participants also produced their own digital content as part of the practical assessment. Post-training support was provided through a WhatsApp group to ensure continued knowledge sharing and skill development. Overall, the program demonstrates that practice-oriented training can effectively enhance the digital communication competencies of social organizations and strengthen their public relations functions. This initiative is expected to serve as a replicable model for similar organizations seeking to optimize their social media engagement.

This study aims to analyze the concept of modern governance in public service delivery using a descriptive qualitative approach through an extensive literature review. Modern governance is understood as a governance model that emphasizes collaboration, transparency, adaptability, and the involvement of multiple actors within policy networks. The data were collected from books, journal articles, international institutional documents, and previous research relevant to governance and public administration. The findings indicate that modern governance significantly contributes to improving public service effectiveness, particularly through digital innovation, data integration, and collaborative mechanisms between government institutions and citizens. Several case studies—such as public service innovations in Surabaya, Surakarta, and various village administrations—demonstrate that this model can accelerate service processes and enhance public satisfaction. However, the implementation of modern governance still faces challenges, including limited resources, rigid bureaucratic culture, low public participation, and the inconsistent application of good governance principles. This study concludes that modern governance holds substantial potential to strengthen the quality of public services in Indonesia, yet requires strong governmental commitment, technological readiness, and active community involvement to be effectively implemented.

This study investigates the influence of discount programs, digital marketing strategies, and service quality on prospective students’ decisions to enroll at STIE Surakarta. The increasingly competitive landscape of private higher education in Indonesia requires institutions to formulate effective marketing strategies that can address the expectations and behavioral tendencies of Generation Z. A quantitative approach was employed using survey data from 36 new students selected through purposive sampling based on their participation in discount-based admission programs. The research instruments were validated through correlation tests and demonstrated reliable internal consistency. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to identify both partial and simultaneous effects among the variables. The findings reveal that discount offers are the only variable that significantly affects enrollment decisions, indicating that financial incentives remain a dominant consideration for prospective students evaluating private tertiary education options. Meanwhile, digital marketing and service quality, although yielding positive regression coefficients, do not show significant partial effects. However, the three variables collectively have a significant simultaneous effect, suggesting that enrollment decisions are shaped by a combination of economic, promotional, and perceptual factors. The model explains 45.7% of the variance in enrollment decisions. These results highlight the need for higher education institutions to balance financial incentives with consistent digital marketing execution and improved service delivery. The study contributes to the expanding literature on student decision-making behavior and offers practical insights for strengthening competitive marketing strategies in private higher education.

This community service program was carried out with the aim of developing the concept of Javanese cultural art edu-tourism at the Kentingan Art Village Foundation in Surakarta as an academic contribution to realizing the vision of Solo City as an internationally recognized cultural tourism destination. The approach adopted was participatory and collaborative, involving various stakeholders such as foundation managers, local artists, academics, and the surrounding community. Through this program, the service team sought to strengthen managerial skills in art-based tourism management, enrich educational content that highlights Javanese cultural values, and develop digital promotion strategies to expand the reach of visitors. The results of the mentoring activities indicated a significant improvement in the capacity for managing art events and organizing the tourism area at Kentingan Art Village. The edu-tourism package developed successfully integrated elements of education, entertainment, and cultural preservation in a harmonious manner. In addition, the program encouraged growing interest from educational institutions and creative communities seeking to make Kentingan Art Village a site for cultural learning. Overall, this community service initiative made a tangible contribution to strengthening the community-based cultural tourism ecosystem in Solo City and serves as a model for developing sustainable tourism destinations rooted in Javanese local wisdom.

This study focuses on analyzing how financial literacy, risk perception, and income level influence investment decision-making among students. The background of this analysis arises from the low understanding of financial management and the importance of risk considerations in investment among students. A quantitative survey method was employed, involving 93 students selected through purposive sampling. Data were processed using multiple linear regression analysis along with validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests. The findings indicate that financial literacy and risk perception have a significant positive effect on investment decisions, while income does not have a partial effect. Simultaneously, all three variables positively influence investment decisions. These results emphasize the need for students to understand financial literacy and risk awareness to make informed investment decisions. The practical implications of this study support the development of effective financial education for students and serve as a reference for future research on investment behavior and personal financial management.

This study aims to reveal and describe the dramatic structure of the Retna Paniti play as performed by Mariyanto, a puppeteer from Ngawonggo, Klaten. The research was conducted because the performance presents a distinctive dramatic form that differs from the conventional structure of the Surakarta-style pakeliran. This study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method, focusing on the analysis of scene sequences and the interrelation among dramatic elements. Data were collected through literature review, observation of the 2018 performance recording, and in-depth interviews with informants familiar with Mariyanto’s puppetry style. The findings indicate that the dramatic structure of Retna Paniti in Mariyanto’s version follows a pattern close to Freytag’s Pyramid theory, yet adapted to the folk puppetry tradition of the Ngawonggo substyle. The performance opens with the battle scene between Gatotkaca and Baladewa, creating immediate tension, which contrasts with the Surakarta-style convention that typically begins with the jejer scene. The dramatic flow progresses from exposition to falling action and culminates in the achievement of harmony. The central theme emphasizes ethical values concerning harmony, loyalty, and self-control in social life, maintaining its relevance in contemporary society.

This research aims to analyze the significance of the influence of personality, courage to take risks, income expectations on students' interest in entrepreneurship at Slamet Riyadi University, Surakarta. The types of data used in this research are quantitative. The data sources used are primary and secondary data. The sample in this research was 100 students at Slamet Riyadi University, Surakarta. The method used in sampling was proportional random sampling. Data collection techniques in this research used questionnaires. Test the research instrument using validity and reliability tests. The classical assumption test uses tests: multicollinearity, autocorrelation, heteroscedasticity and normality. Data analysis techniques use multiple linear regression tests, t tests, F tests, and R2. The results of the validity and reliability tests show that all statements regarding personality, courage to take risks, income expectations and interest in entrepreneurship are declared valid because the p-value is < 0.05 and reliable because Cronbach's alpha is > 0.60. The results of the classical assumption test show that all variables have passed the multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, autocorrelation and normality tests with normal distribution. The results of the regression analysis obtained the equation Y = .612 + 0.221 X1 + 0.326 X2 + 0.556 X3 + e. The results of the t test show that personality (X₁), courage to take risks (X₂), and income expectations (X₃) have a significant effect on students' interest in entrepreneurship at Slamet Riyadi University, Surakarta. The results of the F test showed that the regression model used in this research was correct. The R² test results show that the contribution of the independent variable to the dependent variable is 45.5%, the remaining 54.5% is influenced by other factors outside the variables studied

This study aims to analyze the pedagogical strategies in teaching Nailur Roja Syarah Safinatun Najah, particularly the chapter on marriage, at Pondok Pesantren Raudlatul Muhibbin Al-Mustainiyyah Surakarta. The teaching of classical Islamic texts (kitab kuning) in pesantren not only emphasizes textual understanding but also requires adaptive strategies to ensure that marriage laws are comprehended both theoretically and practically. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through interviews with students and teachers, as well as library research on classical Islamic texts, pesantren pedagogy, and Islamic marriage law. The findings show that pedagogical strategies combine traditional methods such as bandongan and sorogan with contextual approaches including interactive discussions, group deliberations, and case-based learning. The main challenges for students are difficulties in understanding classical Arabic and relating the material to the contemporary Indonesian legal context. To overcome these issues, teachers provide simplified explanations, use real-life analogies, and encourage active student participation. Therefore, the applied pedagogical strategies effectively enhance students’ comprehension of the marriage chapter both normatively and practically.

Bullying is a form of social violence that can hinder children’s psychological and social development, especially in orphanage settings where residents come from diverse backgrounds. This study aims to develop and implement an educational information system based on an interactive e-module as a learning medium to prevent bullying at Mizan Amanah Orphanage Surakarta. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The analysis phase involved observation and interviews to identify the forms and causes of bullying within the orphanage. The e-module was designed with an educational approach focusing on empathy, positive communication, and conflict resolution. The implementation results show that the anti-bullying e-module effectively improves students' understanding of bullying and fosters positive behavioral changes. This educational information system is considered effective as a digital learning medium that promotes a safe, harmonious, and bullying-free environment within the orphanage.

This research seeks to examine how changes in citizenship influence the legal validity of marriage, emphasizing both juridical aspects and practical implications. In an era of globalization and increased international mobility, the phenomenon of changing or losing citizenship has become more frequent. The legal consequences of such changes for marital validity represent a crucial area that demands comprehensive analysis, particularly in relation to national and international marriage laws. The study combines an international literature review with empirical data and legal analysis derived from the works of Mr. Mustain, a lecturer at UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta. Findings reveal that a shift in citizenship can alter the legal standing of a marriage, generate legal ambiguities, and influence family rights such as child custody and inheritance. To address these issues, regulatory harmonization, the proactive engagement of religious authorities, and legal reform at the national level are essential to ensure adequate legal protection for couples undergoing citizenship transitions. Employing a library research method with a qualitative-normative approach, this study analyzes statutory provisions, judicial rulings, and relevant scholarly sources. The findings underscore that citizenship alteration may impact the legality of marriage, particularly when legal systems differ between the country of origin and the newly acquired nationality. In summary, citizenship changes can lead to legal uncertainty regarding marital validity, underscoring the need for legal harmonization and clear protective frameworks for affected couples. This research thus contributes significantly to the discourse on marriage law and citizenship policy development.

Children development in the digital era confronts substantial challenges stemming from rapid technological advancements. Children of the current generation, specifically Gen Z and Post Gen Z, are immersed in digital technology from a young age. Early childhood represents a demographic highly susceptible to the detrimental influences of digital media. Consequently, it is imperative to ensure that digital media utilized in early childhood education not only effectively fosters children's skills and knowledge but also remains secure and avoids producing adverse outcomes. This community service project purpose is to provide children with healthy internet literacy and to conduct training on creating digital content for them. This activity's focus was on managers and children of Mizan Amanah Orphanage for Orphans and the Poor in Surakarta. Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach was utilized, with the goal community empowering by leveraging its inherent potential and resources. Implementation phases involved a needs assessment (Discovery), defining aspirations (Dream), creating the training module (Design), finalizing a plan through a Focus Group Discussion (Define), and executing the training (Destiny). The processed questionnaires from all participants concluded that workshop material was highly beneficial and tutor's delivery was satisfactory. 63% of participants were satisfied, and 32% were very satisfied.

Myopia is an eye refractive disorder in which the light entering the eye is focused in front of the retina, causing long-distance vision to become blurry. This condition is often experienced by teenagers, including students in Islamic boarding schools, due to the habit of reading in close proximity, excessive use of gadgets, and lack of exposure to natural light. The high prevalence of myopia in young age groups needs serious attention so that it does not develop into permanent vision disorders. One of the prevention efforts that can be done is to provide education about myopia, including the definition, causes, prevention, and importance of maintaining eye health and a healthy lifestyle. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of myopia education on improving knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors of students of the Ta'mirul Islam Islamic Islamic Boarding School in Surakarta. Based on the results of the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and Paired Sample t-Test, there was a significant improvement in the aspects of knowledge and attitude, although behavioral changes have not shown meaningful results. These findings confirm the importance of continuous education to form healthy behaviors related to the prevention of myopia as a whole.
