This study aims to examine Muslim fishermen's strategies in increasing their income and the constraints they face in Miang Island Village. The research was conducted through a qualitative approach with descriptive method, relying on primary and secondary data obtained through observation, interview, and documentation. The results showed that the fishermen developed various strategies such as selling their catches to collectors, processing fish into high-value products such as shredded fish, and opening fishing guide services. They also utilize local knowledge about potential fishing locations to increase their catch. These strategies help reduce dependence on a single source of income. However, there are several constraints faced, such as bad weather that disrupts fishing activities, limited access to wider markets, lack of capital, and lack of technology. As a result, they are still dependent on local collectors. To overcome these obstacles, fishermen try to cooperate with fellow fishermen, participate in training, and seek alternative income when sea conditions are unfavorable. These findings underscore the need for further support for the economic empowerment of fishermen in remote areas such as Miang Island.

North Batu Rimpang Hamlet is known as a center for fresh fish trading; however, its utilization as a raw material for processed fish products remains low. This study aims to analyze the use of fish in improving the economy of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in North Batu Rimpang Hamlet through fish processing training. The method used is descriptive qualitative, including interviews, observations, and documentation involving SME actors. The results show that the training provided on processing fish into two types of products—fish nuggets and shredded fish—successfully increased the knowledge and skills of the SME participants. They reported higher incomes and better market access after attending the training. Moreover, more innovative and competitive processed fish products have begun to enter the market, demonstrating the program's success in supporting the local economy.

The strategic marine and fisheries potential of Situbondo Regency includes a high (106.28 tonnes per year) potential for catching sea milkfish (Chanos chanos). The neighborhood makes very little attempts to use processed sea milkfish, nevertheless. Fishermen on the Situbondo coast catch sea milkfish (Chanos chanos), which is only sold fresh and has a poor selling price. Using this chance, Dpore Meme Micro Business turns fresh marine milkfish into shredded fish with a great nutritious value. Because it has a unique flavor, a softer texture, is more fragrant and delectable, and is packed with nutrients, marine milk floss has a potential commercial opportunity and is highly alluring to the general population. There is a need for marketing development, which includes developing online marketing, expanding the marketing area, increasing collaboration with marketing networks or resellers in areas outside the city of Situbondo, as well as optimizing promotions to support product marketing. The current challenge is that the marketing and promotion carried out by the Dpore Meme Micro Enterprise is still offline and on a local scale in the Situbondo Regency area.
