This study examines how parents can serve as role models in fostering the spiritual growth of their adolescents. Parents play a fundamental role in shaping their children's character and faith by providing positive examples that adolescents can imitate in their daily lives. Spiritual growth during adolescence is particularly important because it serves as a strong foundation for their future faith, values, and moral development. The purpose of this study is to explore how parental role modeling influences adolescents' spiritual growth. This research employed a qualitative methodology using a library research approach. Relevant books, journal articles, theological literature, and other scholarly references were analyzed to examine theories and concepts related to parental roles and adolescent spiritual formation. The findings indicate that effective parental role modeling is demonstrated through words, behavior, love, faithfulness, integrity, and purity, which encourage adolescents to develop a deeper relationship with God and practice Christian values consistently. The study concludes that parents should actively model faith in everyday life as an essential part of educating their adolescents. By becoming living examples of Christian values, parents can significantly contribute to nurturing adolescents' spiritual maturity and strengthening their commitment to a lifelong life of faith.

Background: Adolescence is often characterized as a period of puberty. Early menarche is associated with increased mortality and morbidity risks in later life among girls who experience menarche at an early age. Menarche is the first menstrual event in girls, marked by the shedding of the uterine lining and vaginal bleeding. The tendency to consume unhealthy foods, particularly fast food, as well as sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs), may have adverse effects on health and potentially influence the timing of menarche. Objective: This study aimed to analyze the relationship between healthy food selection, sugar-sweetened beverage consumption, and the incidence of early menarche. Methods: This study employed a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 30 female students. Data were analyzed using the Spearman Rank correlation test. Results: The results showed that healthy food selection was significantly associated with the incidence of early menarche (p = 0.005) with a moderate correlation strength (ρ = 0.449). Similarly, sugar-sweetened beverage consumption was significantly associated with the incidence of menarche (p = 0.000) and demonstrated a very strong correlation (ρ = 0.841). Conclusion: There was a significant relationship between healthy food selection and sugar-sweetened beverage consumption with the incidence of menarche. Sugar-sweetened beverage consumption showed a stronger relationship with menarche incidence compared to healthy food selection.

Primary dysmenorrhea frequently disrupts the academic and daily activities of adolescent girls. This study evaluated the effectiveness of a 5-minute warm compress application in reducing menstrual pain intensity. A quasi-experimental study with a one-group pretest-posttest design was conducted on 42 female students of SMAN 28 Batam selected through purposive sampling. Participants applied a warm compress (40–45 °C) to the lower abdomen for 5 minutes. Pain intensity was measured using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) before and after the intervention. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test. Before the intervention, 42.9% of participants reported severe pain (NRS 7–10). After the 5-minute application, the severe pain category disappeared entirely (0%), with 57.1% of subjects shifting to the mild pain category (NRS 1–3). Statistical analysis showed a significant reduction in dysmenorrhea intensity (p < 0.001). A 5-minute warm compress application is a rapid and effective non-pharmacological intervention for relieving primary dysmenorrhea in adolescents. Its practicality makes this method a feasible self-care strategy to implement in school settings.

Due to its effect on the caliber of generations to come, iron deficiency anemia in teenage females is one of Indonesia's most pressing reproductive health concerns. Adolescents' awareness to autonomously adopt preventative actions is shaped mostly by their knowledge. The purpose of this research is to determine whether there is a correlation between the prevalence of anemia among teenage females in Boyolali Regency and their degree of education. Using a cross-sectional design, this study employs quantitative correlational analytic methods. An accidental sampling approach was used to obtain a sample size of 80 respondents from the population of seventh grade female pupils. A digital POCT device was utilized to quantify the incidence of anemia variables based on hemoglobin (Hb) levels, while a structured questionnaire instrument was employed to gather data for knowledge variables. The Chi-Square test was used to assess the bivariate data analysis. According to the univariate analysis, 62.5% of the participants (50 respondents) had a decent level of knowledge, and 73.8% of the participants (59 respondents) did not suffer from anemia (Hb > 12 g/dL). With a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), the results of the bivariate test were generated. Anemia is more common among female students at MTs Al Ihsan Doglo who have a higher degree of expertise, according to this study. School districts should keep an eye on students' iron pill use and improve their nutrition education programs.

Sexuality education is crucial for equipping adolescents and fostering healthy, responsible behavior. Lack of knowledge and understanding regarding sexuality education can increase the risk of sexual behavior, which can impact physical and mental health, and reduce concentration during learning. This activity aims to increase the knowledge of students at SMK Bhakti Indonesia Medika in Pangkalanbun Regency regarding education on preventing sexual harassment in the school environment. The outreach activity was conducted in May 2026 with 43 students aged 15-16 years, using a pretest-posttest method, leaflets, and PowerPoint presentations. A common health problem, especially in developing countries, is anemia. This is common among adolescent girls due to their lack of knowledge about anemia. This puts them at risk of developing anemia, particularly because menstruation is a contributing factor. Providing health education is expected to change behaviors toward a healthy lifestyle and contribute to preventing anemia among adolescent girls. This community service activity was held on May 26, 2026, at SMK Bhakti Indonesia Medika, and was attended by female students of childbearing age. The methods used included lectures, discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and sharing sessions. Pretests and posttests were used as evaluation materials to measure the increase in students' knowledge. The average pretest score was 7, while the average posttest score was 12, indicating a 5 point increase in knowledge about anemia among adolescent girls. The students demonstrated interest and enthusiasm during this activity. The results and conclusions of the e-booklet-based education program proved to be an effective alternative medium for increasing students' knowledge about anemia prevention. It is hoped that similar education can be implemented sustainably to improve the quality of healthy life in adolescent girls.

Digital technology has significantly transformed adolescents’ lives, including the process of character formation. While the digital era provides broad opportunities for accessing information and developing personal potential, it also presents challenges such as identity crises, individualism, instant culture, cyberbullying, moral relativism, and declining spiritual engagement. These conditions create unique challenges for Christian adolescents in maintaining values and character grounded in biblical teachings. This study aims to examine the challenges of Christian adolescent character formation in the digital era, analyze the perspectives of the Christian worldview and educational psychology on character development, and explain the relevance of integrating these perspectives in addressing contemporary challenges. The research employed a qualitative approach using a library research method. Data were collected from books, scholarly journals, and other relevant academic sources and analyzed through content analysis. The findings indicate that the Christian worldview provides a theological foundation for shaping identity, values, and character based on biblical truth, while educational psychology offers scientific insights into adolescent development and effective character-building strategies. The integration of these perspectives creates a holistic approach that addresses spiritual, moral, social, emotional, and cognitive dimensions. Therefore, this integration is essential for helping Christian adolescents navigate the challenges of the digital era wisely, responsibly, and in accordance with Christian values.

This research aims to examine how the functions of Christian counseling (preventive, curative, developmental, and pastoral) can be integrated into the practice of Christian Religious Education as an effective strategy to support adolescents’ faith development. The background of this study arises from the fact that adolescents experience a crisis of faith that is not only related to theological aspects but also affects their psychological and emotional well-being. On the other hand, christian religious education practices in schools often remain focused on the transfer of doctrinal knowledge without being balanced by adequate personal guidance. This study applies a qualitative method through literature review and conceptual analysis of christian counseling theory, theories of adolescent faith development, and pedagogical practices in christian religious education. The findings indicate that integrating Christian counseling functions into the design of christian religious education learning can create a dialogical, reflective, and pastoral classroom atmosphere, providing opportunities for adolescents to develop spiritual discernment, self-awareness, and the ability to make responsible moral decisions. This article discusses the relevance of counseling to adolescents’ spiritual development, the characteristics of their faith development, the challenges of implementing counseling in Christian educational institutions, and the design of learning based on dialogue, reflection, and mentoring. In this way, the integration of christian counseling in christian religious education is considered a holistic approach that enriches the meaning of faith education and supports adolescents’ faith growth in a contextual, profound, and sustainable manner.

The paradigmatic transformation of Christian Religious Education (CRE) in the digital era has become a crucial issue to be examined because the development of information technology, virtual culture, and globalization has brought significant changes to adolescents’ mindsets, behaviors, and character formation. These conditions have created various moral and spiritual challenges, such as identity crises, declining ethical sensitivity, and the increasing influence of individualistic and hedonistic values among young people. This study aims to analyze the paradigm transformation of Christian Religious Education in shaping adolescent character through a theological-pedagogical perspective that is relevant to the context of the digital era. The research employs a qualitative method using a library research approach and descriptive analysis of various scientific, theological, and pedagogical sources related to Christian education, teacher spirituality, and adolescent character development in the digital age. The findings indicate that the transformation of the CRE paradigm should be directed toward contextual, participatory, and transformative learning by positioning teachers as spiritual role models and facilitators of character formation. Furthermore, the integration of Christian values, the ethical use of technology, and collaboration among schools, families, and churches are important factors in shaping adolescents who possess strong character, integrity, and spiritual maturity amid increasingly complex digital challenges.

Adolescents face significant barriers in accessing reproductive health services due to fears of privacy breaches and social stigma. In primary healthcare facilities, healthcare professionals are often trapped in a dilemma between the obligation to maintain medical confidentiality based on professional ethics and national regulatory demands requiring parental involvement for underage patients. This study aims to analyze the practice of protecting adolescent patient data privacy at Mardi Saras Primary Clinic and identify the gap between practical implementation and the norms of medical ethics and applicable legal regulations. This study employs a socio-legal research method with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with doctors and nurses, observation of service procedures, and study of the clinic's Standard Operating Procedures. The results indicate that although Mardi Saras Primary Clinic has implemented basic confidentiality protocols such as closed consultation rooms, there are substantial weaknesses in informed consent management, which still heavily relies on parental presence for all adolescent cases. This practice is driven by healthcare professionals' fear of legal risks, thereby ignoring the principle of developing autonomy in adolescents. These findings indicate a disparity between rigid administrative compliance and the spirit of protecting adolescent health rights within national regulations. The implication of this study underscores the urgency of developing specific SOPs that are sensitive to adolescent rights, as well as the need for continuous training for healthcare professionals regarding the legal and ethical boundaries of maintaining confidentiality for underage patients without compromising legal safety aspects.

This study aims to analyze the role of parents in fostering adolescents' moral development and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in this process in Karya Jaya Village, Buton Regency. This research is motivated by the importance of adolescence as a critical developmental stage that is highly vulnerable to environmental influences, thus requiring optimal moral guidance, especially from the family as the first and primary educational institution. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach. The research subjects consist of 30 parents and adolescents selected through purposive sampling. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation to obtain in-depth and comprehensive data. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that parents play a significant role in moral development through role modeling, habituation of moral and religious values, effective communication, and supervision of adolescents' behavior in daily life. Parental role modeling is a key factor in shaping adolescents’ moral behavior, as adolescents tend to imitate what they observe within the family environment. Supporting factors include harmonious family conditions, active parental involvement, and a positive social environment. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include parents' busyness, lack of supervision, and the influence of technology and peer environment. Therefore, the role of parents is crucial in shaping positive moral behavior among adolescents.

The study aims to analyze the role of digital media as a distracting factor affecting the faith loyalty of Catholic adolescents in their relationship with God amid religious pluralism in Indonesia. The development of digital media has transformed how adolescents understand, express, and live out their faith, while simultaneously presenting both opportunities and ambivalent challenges. This research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method, analyzing various theological, sociological sources, and Church documents. The findings indicate that digital media can serve as a broad and participatory space for expressing faith, but it also has the potential to create distractions in three main dimensions: cognitive, affective, and practical. Cognitively, adolescents experience confusion in understanding faith teachings due to the diversity of information available. Affectively, there is a shift in orientation from a relationship with God toward the pursuit of emotional gratification in digital spaces. Practically, there is a decline in engagement in concrete religious practices. Within the context of religious pluralism, this complexity intensifies and influences the formation of adolescents’ faith identity. This study also finds that digital media does not only have negative impacts but also holds positive potential as a means of deepening faith when used critically and reflectively. Therefore, the role of the Church is essential through contextual, dialogical, and integrative pastoral accompaniment combined with critical digital literacy. Through this approach, adolescents are expected to integrate their digital experiences into a more mature, authentic faith life rooted in a deeper relationship with God.

The rapid development of digital technology has significantly transformed the ways in which faith is experienced, particularly in the lives of adolescents. From the perspectives of digital religion and mediatization of religion, digital space is no longer merely a medium, but has become a cultural arena that actively shapes religious practices and meanings. The study aims to analyze these dynamics, especially within the context of Generation Alpha, by examining the opportunities and challenges that emerge in the lived experience of faith in the digital age. The findings indicate that digital environments offer creative, participatory, and contextual opportunities for evangelization, enabling young people to engage actively in constructing their religious experiences. However, this dynamic is inherently ambivalent, as it also risks reducing the meaning of faith to symbolic, instant, and less sacramentally grounded experiences, detached from the communal life of the Church. Furthermore, the formation of religious identity in digital spaces tends to be fluid and performative, potentially leading to superficial relationships and fragmented identities. Therefore, technologically mediated religious experience should be understood as a bridge, rather than a substitute, for authentic faith encounters. The Church is thus called to adopt adaptive and reflective pastoral approaches, positioning media as a means of fostering communio without obscuring the essence of faith. An integrative approach through the synergy of Church, family, and educational institutions is essential to balance digital literacy and spiritual depth, ensuring that adolescent faith continues to grow reflectively and remains rooted in real-life experience.

This study aims to describe the representation of adolescent conflicts in the film Jumbo directed by Ryan Adriandhy and to analyze its relevance as teaching material for review text learning in vocational high schools. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using content analysis. The data consisted of dialogues, scenes, character expressions, plot, and cinematic elements representing adolescent conflicts in the film. Data sources included the film Jumbo, interviews with Indonesian language teachers and eleventh-grade students at SMK PGRI 1 Surakarta, and review text learning documents. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and semi-structured interviews, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. Stuart Hall’s representation theory was used as the analytical framework. The findings show that the film represents identity, family, friendship, and social conflicts experienced by adolescents. These conflicts are constructed through dialogues, visuals, character relationships, and plot development. Furthermore, the film is relevant as teaching material for review text learning because it helps students understand story elements, increases learning engagement, and develops analytical, evaluative, and critical thinking skills. However, students still need guidance in distinguishing summaries from evaluations in review texts.

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of adolescent love conflict in the film One Fine Day (2018), directed by Asep Kusdinar, through the lens of Sigmund Freud's psychoanalysis. The main focus of the study is the interaction of the three personality structures: the Id, Ego, and Superego, which shape the main characters' decision-making and behavior when facing romantic dilemmas. Using qualitative research methods with A content analysis approach, this study highlights how the characters Mahesa and Alana experience tension between impulsive drives (Id), demands of reality (Ego), and internalized moral norms (Superego). The results of this analysis indicate that the adolescent love conflict in this film is not merely a matter of superficial emotions, but rather a reflection of psychological struggles in the process of searching for identity. The film effectively visualizes how its characters negotiate desires, social rules, and moral principles, ultimately leading to character growth and emotional maturity. This study confirms the relevance of Freud's theory in understanding the psychological complexity of young people, especially as represented through cinema.
