The Islamic insurance industry in Indonesia, including in the city of Medan, continues to face various challenges, one of which is the low level of public participation in using Islamic insurance products. Public decisions to choose Islamic insurance are influenced not only by economic factors but also by non-economic factors, such as the level of religiosity, Islamic financial literacy, and trust in insurance service providers. This study aims to examine in depth the role of religiosity, financial literacy, and trust in influencing public decisions regarding the use of Islamic insurance in Medan City. This research employs a qualitative approach by utilizing secondary data obtained from reports of the Financial Services Authority (OJK), the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), fatwas issued by the National Sharia Council of the Indonesian Ulema Council (DSN-MUI), as well as relevant national and international scholarly articles. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis techniques to obtain a comprehensive understanding of public behavior, perceptions, and preferences. The findings indicate that religiosity plays a role in increasing awareness of the importance of financial products that comply with sharia principles, financial literacy strengthens public understanding of the benefits and mechanisms of Islamic insurance, while trust emerges as the key factor most decisively influencing decision-making. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for formulating strategies to enhance public literacy and trust in Islamic insurance in Medan City.

Education plays a crucial role in shaping the personality, morals, and spiritual values of students. In the Islamic perspective, education is not solely focused on the mastery of knowledge but also includes the cultivation of noble character, the strengthening of faith, and the enhancement of religiosity as a form of devotion to Allah Swt. Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren), as traditional Islamic educational institutions, have a strategic role in instilling these values through religious activities, the teaching of classical Islamic texts (kitab kuning), and the habituation of virtuous behavior. Pesantren serve not only as centers of learning but also as institutions for character formation and spiritual development. However, the forces of globalization and modernization bring new challenges in the form of cultural, technological, and informational influences that often conflict with Islamic values. Therefore, pesantren are required to develop adaptive, innovative, and relevant educational strategies that align with contemporary needs without losing their Islamic identity. One effective approach is the implementation of Islamic counseling, a process of psychological and spiritual guidance grounded in the Qur’an and Sunnah. Through this counseling, students are expected to strengthen their faith, enhance their religiosity, and develop moral resilience in facing the dynamics of modern life based on strong Islamic values.

Akuntansi dan Ekonomi Pajak: Perspektif Global 2025 Asosiasi Riset Ekonomi dan Akuntansi Indonesia

This study was conducted to explore in depth how ethical pressure, ethical orientation, and religiosity influence earnings management practices, while also examining whether religiosity plays a role as a moderating variable in this relationship. Using a quantitative, survey-based approach, this study involved 109 respondents with professional backgrounds and experience in accounting and finance, thus deemed relevant in understanding the phenomenon of earnings management from a practitioner's perspective. The data analysis technique used was Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), which is considered appropriate for examining relationships between latent variables with high complexity. The results show that ethical pressure has a positive and significant influence on earnings management practices, meaning that the greater the ethical pressure a person feels, the higher the tendency to engage in such practices. Conversely, ethical orientation shows a negative and significant influence, so that individuals with a strong ethical orientation tend to reject this manipulative practice. Religiosity is also shown to have a significant negative influence, so that the higher a person's level of religiosity, the lower their tendency to engage in earnings management. Furthermore, moderation analysis found that religiosity strengthens the influence of ethical orientation in suppressing earnings management practices, meaning that individuals who are both religious and have a high ethical orientation are more consistent in maintaining their integrity. However, the role of religiosity was not proven to be significant in moderating the relationship between ethical pressure and earnings management practices, indicating that although religiosity can shape ethical attitudes, it is not sufficient to mitigate the impact of strong external pressures. These findings imply the importance of strengthening ethical values and religiosity in accounting education and practice to prevent opportunistic behavior that is detrimental to related parties.

This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design to gain an in-depth understanding of the implementation of the “Habit for Me” religious habituation program in shaping the religious character of first-grade elementary school students. The case study method was chosen to holistically and contextually describe the phenomenon within the specific school environment. Primary data were collected through participatory observation of students, in-depth interviews with teachers and the principal, and documentation of students' religious activities. Secondary data included lesson plans, religious activity schedules, and school archives to complement the primary data. The diverse data collection techniques aimed to produce credible data. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which involves data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing to derive meaning from complex information. Data validity was ensured through triangulation of techniques and sources, enhancing the trustworthiness of the findings. This methodology enabled a detailed depiction of the processes and impacts of the Habit for Me program in the context of religious character education for elementary students.

Islamic Religious Education is the most important component in life, acting as a foundation for thinking, acting, and behaving, both in the family and community environment. This study aims to analyze the role of teachers in improving student religiosity at SD Integral Hidayatullah Probolinggo, with a focus on the approach to religious education, the application of religious values in daily activities, and positive habits. As a school that implements the full-day school concept. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach method with triangulation techniques, namely participatory observation of the school environment studied, in-depth interviews, and documentation of the research background, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman theory, namely: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. This study found that teachers have a central role in instilling religious values through exemplary methods, interactive discussions, and routine activities, such as joint prayer and congregational prayer. In addition, this success is supported by adequate school facilities and an integrative curriculum that supports the teaching of religious values. However, the study also identified several obstacles, including the lack of support from students' families in continuing religious habits at home and the density of the academic curriculum. This shows the importance of synergy between schools, teachers, and families to create an environment that supports the continuous improvement of student religiosity. Thus, through increased collaboration between related parties, schools can be more optimal in achieving their goals of producing a generation with noble morals, faith, and strong character.
