This academic research delves into the critical examination of the computer literacy and socioreligious perspectives of first-year cadets enrolled in the International Maritime Education programme at Maritime Institute Jakarta (STIP Jakarta). The study focuses on 200 randomly selected cadets who represent a diverse range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds within Indonesia. As future global officers, these cadets are integral to the maritime sector's international landscape and are expected to communicate fluently in English, adhering to the standards set by the International Maritime Organization's International Maritime Education and Training (IMO-STCW) guidelines. The research is centred on the first semester cadets, freshly graduated from senior high school, enrolled in three majors: Nautical, Technical, and Port and Shipping Management. These majors collectively contribute to the production of qualified seamen, deck officers, and engine officers. The investigation employs qualitative research methods and descriptive analysis to comprehend the cadets' competences in computer literacy. The focal point is the introductory study of computer science and maritime technology tailored for the Nautical and Technical majors. Moreover, the research incorporates an examination of the socioreligious dimensions influencing the cadets' perspectives on their educational journey. Given that the cadets hail from diverse regions of Indonesia, they bring with them a rich tapestry of linguistic and cultural practices, utilising both Bahasa Indonesia and their traditional languages in their daily lives. The study aims to understand how these socioreligious factors intertwine with their academic pursuits and adherence to international standards. In conclusion, this research contributes to the broader discourse on maritime education by providing insights into the intersection of computer literacy, socioreligious perspectives, and international competencies among first-year cadets. The findings are expected to inform educational strategies and policies to better prepare cadets for the evolving demands of the global maritime industry.

Attention is given to the prayers and expectations of parents, reflecting on the cadets' plans and aspirations to become exceptional seafarers. Mental health is a vital aspect of deep human life, and religious views play a crucial role in understanding it. This research aims to explore and understand the relationship between mental health and religious perspectives on individual quality of life. The research method used was a systematic review by searching for articles on Google Scholar using the keywords "Health," "Mental," "Al-Qur'an," and "Islam." Inclusion criteria include research articles in the last 10 years, Indonesian, in journal form, and publicly accessible. The research results show that mental health plays an important role in the Islamic view, which provides comprehensive guidelines for maintaining mental health. In the Islamic view, several important aspects include tawakkal (submission of oneself to Allah), dhikr and prayer to relieve stress and anxiety, maintaining balance in life, supporting healthy social relationships, providing social support, forgiveness, patience, and when needed, seeking help professionals such as psychotherapy or counseling. The Islamic view of mental health involves spiritual, psychological, and social dimensions, and by combining religious teachings with appropriate medical care and social support, individuals can achieve optimal mental health in accordance with the principles of their religion. Mental health in the Islamic view is an integral component of efforts to achieve holistic well-being in an individual's life.

Sexual behaviour or actions that differ from generally accepted sexual norms in the LGBT community should not be considered something that should be taken for granted. This sexual behaviour or action arises because there are variations in individual sexual desires. Sexual orientation and habits refer to a person's desire to express their desire, love, emotions, and sexual activities towards individuals of the same gender, the opposite gender, or both. LGBT is an abbreviation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender, which refers to a group of individuals who have a sexual orientation or gender identity that is different from the majority. There are various views in society regarding LGBT, with some rejecting this variation in sexual behaviour while others openly accepting it. The debate regarding LGBT issues is increasingly intense and widespread, with various arguments related to human rights (HAM) and arguments based on religion. This research aims to investigate different views regarding LGBT issues in Indonesia, both from a religious and a human rights perspective.
