Epilepsy is one of the most common chronic neurological disorders and can affect women of reproductive age, including during pregnancy. Pregnancy in women with epilepsy (WWE) presents various clinical challenges due to the complex interaction between physiological changes in pregnancy, fluctuations in antiepileptic drug (AED) levels, and the increased risk of seizures. Seizures during pregnancy not only pose a threat to maternal safety but also carry potential complications for the fetus, such as hypoxia, trauma, and impaired uteroplacental blood flow. Therefore, the management of epilepsy during pregnancy requires a careful and comprehensive approach. This report presents the case of a 41-year-old woman, G4P2A1, at 37–38 weeks of gestation, who presented to the emergency obstetric unit at Cut Meutia General Hospital with complaints of contractions following three episodes of seizures within the previous 24 hours. The patient had a 16-year history of epilepsy and was on regular neurologist follow-up, but she had discontinued her AEDs three weeks prior due to medication unavailability. She underwent an elective cesarean section with concurrent fimbriectomy as a permanent contraceptive method. Postoperatively, the patient experienced status epilepticus and decreased consciousness for approximately 24 hours. A multidisciplinary approach involving neurologists was implemented, including AED administration, enteral nutrition, close monitoring of vital signs and urine output. The patient's condition gradually improved, and she was discharged on the seventh day in a stable condition with well-healed surgical wounds. This case highlights the importance of optimal seizure control during pregnancy. Preconception counseling, appropriate AED selection, and regular drug level monitoring are essential in minimizing maternal and fetal complications. A multidisciplinary collaboration between obstetricians and neurologists plays a crucial role in achieving favorable outcomes.

Attendance is an essential activity in both educational institutions and companies, serving as an indicator of discipline, presence, and individual responsibility. Conventional attendance systems that still rely on manual journals often face several problems, such as vulnerability to manipulation, data loss, and physical damage. Meanwhile, modern methods such as fingerprint, QR code, RFID, and GPS are not entirely ideal since each has its own limitations in terms of cost, accuracy, user convenience, and potential misuse. For instance, fingerprint systems raise hygiene concerns due to shared use, while QR code and GPS methods are prone to fraud and location spoofing. To address these challenges, this study proposes a face-based attendance simulation system by integrating the YOLOv8 algorithm for face detection and Local Binary Pattern Histogram (LBPH) for face recognition. YOLOv8 was chosen for its ability to detect faces in real time with high speed and accuracy, while LBPH is employed for face recognition due to its robustness in handling variations in facial features and its relatively low computational requirements. This makes the system efficient even when implemented on medium-specification devices. The system was tested on 25 participants with a total of 250 attendance attempts. Based on the confusion matrix analysis, the system achieved outstanding performance with 98.4% accuracy, 98.4% precision, 100% recall, and a 99.2% F1-score. Furthermore, the system automatically recorded attendance dates and times with an average latency of 69.185 ms, proving its capability to operate quickly and reliably in real-world scenarios. Nevertheless, several limitations were observed, such as decreased accuracy when the face moved too quickly during image capture, as well as potential performance degradation under extreme lighting conditions. Despite these challenges, the proposed system demonstrates excellent performance and offers a promising solution for efficient, hygienic, and fraud-resistant attendance management applicable to both educational and professional environments.

Public Fuel Filling Stations (SPBU) are important facilities that provide various types of fuel such as gasoline, diesel, and Pertamax to meet the needs of motorized vehicles. The existence of SPBU greatly helps the public in obtaining fuel at a more economical price compared to purchasing retail. However, the transaction system at SPBU generally still uses conventional methods, such as cash payments or the use of debit/credit cards that have not been fully integrated with an efficient digital system. The use of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology has been implemented as a non-cash transaction method at several SPBUs, but this system still has various weaknesses, such as limited device compatibility and delays in transaction processing. This prompted the author to develop the concept of an independent SPBU based on modern technology that is more efficient and secure. The proposed innovation includes the use of contactless smart cards and coin acceptors for the payment system, allowing users to make self-service transactions without operator involvement. In addition, the author also added several supporting components such as proximity sensors, which function to detect the presence of vehicles or people around the SPBU area. These sensors can help in saving electrical energy by activating the system only when needed. Another component is a vibration sensor, which plays a crucial role in detecting excessive vibrations that could potentially cause leaks. If excessive vibration is detected, the system automatically closes the solenoid on the pump to prevent the risk of fire or damage. By integrating this technology, the autonomous gas station system is expected to improve operational efficiency, user convenience, and safety during the automatic refueling process. This development is expected to be an innovative solution for modernizing the gas station system in Indonesia.

The increasing number of motorcycle thefts in various regions indicates that conventional security systems are not yet fully effective in protecting vehicles, necessitating new technology-based innovations. This study discusses the planning and implementation of a motorcycle security system utilizing Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) technology as a more responsive and modern solution. The system is designed using a passive RFID tag placed on the motorcycle key, an RFID reader integrated with the motorcycle unit, and an Arduino microcontroller that functions to control the ignition system. With this combination, the motorcycle can only be activated if the appropriate tag is detected, while access attempts using an invalid tag or the loss of the tag will automatically disconnect the ignition system. Test results announced that tag recognition can be done very quickly, in less than a second, so as not to disrupt the user's comfort when starting the vehicle. In addition, this system is able to maintain consistent performance by providing an automatic response that supports advanced security. The implementation of this plan is expected to reduce motorcycle theft by providing an additional layer of security that is more difficult to penetrate than a manual key system. From the user's perspective, this technology remains practical because it does not require complicated procedures in its operation, simply by ensuring the appropriate RFID tag is attached to the motorcycle key. Overall, this research confirms that the application of Arduino microcontroller-based RFID technology can be an alternative, inexpensive, and applicable security system in everyday life. It is hoped that this system will not only improve protection for vehicle owners but also serve as a benchmark for the development of more sophisticated transportation security technologies in the future. Implementation of this system is expected to reduce motorcycle theft and provide a greater sense of security for vehicle owners.
