The development of information technology has encouraged restaurants and cafés to function not only as dining places, but also as venues for hosting various events. However, the event reservation process at Rumah Makan Ny. Hartini and Café Rain is still carried out manually through logbooks, telephone calls, and WhatsApp, resulting in problems such as unorganized data, delayed confirmations, and miscommunication with customers. In addition, the manual system limits access to information regarding venue availability, reservation schedules, and additional facilities required by customers. This study aims to develop a web-based event reservation information system using the prototyping method. The system design was carried out using Unified Modeling Language (UML), including use case diagrams, activity diagrams, and class diagrams to model user interactions, process flows, and system structure. The results of the study show that the developed system is able to automate the reservation process, customer data recording, reservation confirmation, schedule management, and additional facilities management. This system improves operational efficiency, data accuracy, and service quality, while also making it easier for customers to make reservations independently and obtain information quickly and accurately.

Abstract Kebakaran merupakan salah satu bencana yang dapat mengancam keselamatan jiwa dan harta benda, khususnya di lingkungan hunian padat seperti rumah kos. Kos Putri Kanaya Projo merupakan salah satu kos putri di Ungaran Timur, Kabupaten Semarang, yang berisiko tinggi mengalami kebakaran akibat kelalaian penghuni dalam penggunaan peralatan listrik maupun kompor gas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sistem pendeteksi kebakaran dini berbasis mikrokontroler dengan dukungan teknologi Internet of Things (IoT).  Sistem dikembangkan menggunakan mikrokontroler ESP32 yang terhubung dengan sensor MQ-2 (asap/gas), sensor PIR (api), dan sensor DHT22 (suhu/kelembapan). Output sistem berupa notifikasi peringatan pada aplikasi Blynk, buzzer sebagai alarm suara, serta tampilan informasi melalui LCD. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah prototyping dengan tahapan perancangan, implementasi, pengujian, serta penyempurnaan sistem. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu mendeteksi asap, gas, suhu tinggi, dan api dengan akurasi di atas 90% serta memberikan notifikasi peringatan melalui aplikasi Blynk dengan waktu respon kurang dari 10 detik. Dengan demikian, sistem ini efektif sebagai solusi deteksi dini kebakaran pada lingkungan kos sehingga dapat meningkatkan keamanan dan meminimalisir risiko kerugian material maupun korban jiwa

The manual driver scheduling system in the “Mobil keluarga”Rudi car rental Medan business often faces conflicts and inefficiencies. Problems such as driver double-booking, where Driver A is scheduled to accompany Guest B while still serving Guest C, lead to service delays and customer dissatisfaction. This research aims to design and implement a driver allocation module integrated with a Geographic Information System (GIS) to optimize the scheduling process. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with data collection through interviews and system design using UML and prototyping in Figma. The proposed system utilizes GIS to map driver locations in real-time and identify the nearest available driver to a customer, thereby reducing allocation decision time. It is hoped that this research can produce a system design that serves as a solution to improve service efficiency and operational productivity in Rudi car rental Medan businesses. The integration of GIS in driver allocation is the novelty of this study in the context of small and medium-sized rental businesses.

The rapid advancement of digital technology has significantly influenced how small and medium enterprises (SMEs) connect with consumers. Kampung Lawas Maspati SMEs encounter obstacles in expanding their market due to limited online visibility and reliance on conventional sales approaches. This study aims to develop an e-commerce website that addresses these challenges by focusing on user-centered innovation. Using the Design Thinking method, which includes stages such as empathizing, defining, ideating, prototyping, and testing, user needs and challenges were explored through interviews, surveys, and observations to inform the website development process. The resulting platform is intuitive, responsive, and accessible, enabling SMEs to display their products, manage transactions, and engage with customers effectively. The application of this method not only improves market reach but also strengthens the competitiveness and digital literacy of Kampung Lawas Maspati SMEs. Evaluation results show a high level of consumer satisfaction, reaching 91.87%, indicating that the developed website effectively meets user expectations and supports SME digital transformation.

This study aims to analyse the design and optimization of digital marketing to increase the brand awareness of the IdRink MSME through the integration of a website and Instagram. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the Four-D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), combined with prototyping techniques and evaluation through blackbox testing. Data were collected through interviews, literature review, observation, Google Analytics, Instagram Insight, and A/B testing questionnaires administered to 100 respondents. The results show that the development of a WordPress-based website and a structured Instagram content plan significantly improved IdRink’s digital performance. Within one month, the audience growth rate increased by 256%, average post reach reached 216%, and website traffic recorded 298 users. Brand awareness measurement indicated brand recognition of 74% and brand recall of 79%, higher than the comparison brand in the local beverage category. These findings indicate that integrating a website and Instagram as a digital marketing strategy is effective in moving IdRink from the unaware-of-brand stage to recognition and recall, expanding market reach, strengthening customer engagement, and building a more professional brand image among young urban consumers. The study recommends maintaining content consistency and utilising digital analytics to support future marketing decision-making.

In the digital era, business entities increasingly rely on computerized systems to manage financial activities efficiently. This study aims to design and develop a web-based financial reporting application for UD Jaya Abadi, a trading company located in Magetan Regency. The development process utilized the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology to ensure user involvement and rapid prototyping. Data were collected through observation and interviews with the business owner to identify problems in manual bookkeeping and report preparation. The resulting application automates financial processes including sales, purchases, journal entries, and financial reporting in accordance with SAK ETAP standards. System modules include master data management, transaction recording, and financial reporting such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports. Testing using the black box method confirmed that all system functions operated correctly. This web-based system enhances data accuracy, minimizes human error, and provides real-time access to financial information, significantly improving the efficiency of financial management at UD Jaya Abadi.

Nava Rent Car is a car rental service business located in Batam. Many customers have complained about the difficulty in making reservations and obtaining detailed information about the vehicles and services offered. To address this issue, the author designed a more informative, functional, and appealing User Interface (UI) website to support the marketing of services. This design was developed using the Design Thinking method with SWOT analysis techniques. This approach was chosen because it focuses on the user, helping to deeply understand their needs, desires, and problems. The Design Thinking process consists of five steps: empathizing to understand the user's problems, defining the problem, ideating solutions, prototyping, and testing the design for user feedback. The result is a high-fidelity website prototype that illustrates the user flow and measures how well the design meets user needs and provides an optimal experience. Feasibility testing showed positive responses, especially regarding the interface design, clarity of vehicle information, and available features. It is expected that this design will help Nava Rent Car enhance its marketing strategy and expand its business reach.

The rapid development of information technology has encouraged government institutions to transform the way they manage data and deliver public services. The Protocol and Leadership Communication Division (Prokopim) of Situbondo Regency plays a strategic role in managing the schedules of regional leaders and documenting each official activity as a form of accountability. Currently, these processes are still managed manually, which causes obstacles in recording, searching, and reporting data. Such limitations reduce efficiency and transparency, indicating the urgency of a structured, accessible, and integrated web-based information system. This research aims to design a web-based system that integrates employee data, leadership agendas, and documentation records into a single platform. The research method combines field observations, interviews with Prokopim staff, and literature studies to analyze user requirements. The system design adopts the Waterfall model, which includes requirement analysis, database design, user interface design, and system modeling using Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagrams such as use case, activity, and sequence diagrams. Database structures are represented through class diagrams, while user interface designs are developed using prototyping. The findings of this study produce a system blueprint that provides a structured framework for digitalizing agenda and documentation processes. The proposed design improves accessibility, accuracy, and efficiency in managing leadership activities. Furthermore, this system can be considered as a practical model for applying digital transformation in government institutions, supporting better accountability and service quality in the public sector.

The Student Evaluation of Lecturers (EDOM) at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Dr. Soetomo has historically been conducted via Google Forms and processed manually, resulting in slow response times, repetitive recap procedures, and insufficiently documented reporting validity. This study aims to design, build, and evaluate a web-based EDOM system using the Prototype Model (MODEL PROTOTYPE) to improve data collection efficiency, recap accuracy, and the effectiveness of feedback for teaching quality assurance. The development method comprises requirements elicitation with the Quality Assurance Unit through a review of SPMI documents and brief interviews, architectural and interface design (Laravel, MVC pattern, and MySQL), staged prototyping, and rapid iterations based on stakeholder feedback until functional conformity is achieved. The resulting system provides authentication and role-based authorization (Admin, GPM, Lecturer, Student), odd/even period management, a question bank employing a Likert scale, anonymous questionnaire submission, score recap per lecturer and per category (pedagogical, professional, personal, social), dashboard visualizations, and report export to support governance needs. Functional evaluation was conducted through black-box testing on core scenarios (login, period scheduling, submission, recap, and export) and indicated conformance to specifications. User acceptance evaluation employed the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to examine perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitude toward use, and behavioral intention; the results indicate positive acceptance and potential for operational adoption. Practically, the prototype approach accelerates requirement alignment, reduces the risk of mis-specification, and facilitates change control, while the Laravel-based implementation supports maintainability, role-based access security, and further feature development. The study is limited to a single faculty; future work may include SSO integration, audit trails, and longitudinal, cross-semester analytics for more comprehensive monitoring of lecturer performance.

Publikasi Hasil Pengabdian dan Kegiatan Masyarakat 2025 Asosiasi Periset Bahasa Sastra Indonesia

This community service program aims to strengthen the competence of automotive workshop MSMEs in mastering microcontroller-based starter system technology, enabling them to adapt to the era of vehicle digitalization. The program was carried out through several stages: identification of training needs, delivery of basic theory on microcontrollers and starter systems, practical sessions in module assembly and programming, followed by mentoring and evaluation. The results of the evaluation showed an 85% increase in participants’ understanding of the digital starter system concept, an 80% improvement in module assembly and programming skills, and a 75% increase in readiness to apply innovative starter systems in workshop services. The novelty of this activity lies in the development of a more applicable digital starter system model tailored to the needs of small-scale workshops. The implementation emphasized a participatory, practice-based approach using learning by doing. Participants, mainly workshop owners and technicians, were guided step by step from component recognition, software operation with Arduino IDE, to the prototyping of functional microcontroller-based starter systems. To ensure sustainability, the program also provided training modules, video tutorials, and online mentoring, allowing participants to continue practicing independently after the training. Beyond improving technical competence, this activity also fostered an innovative mindset among participants, making them more confident to provide modern, technology-oriented services. In the long term, the program is expected to enhance the competitiveness of automotive MSMEs, strengthen customer trust, and build collaborative networks between higher education institutions and local workshops in supporting vocational education and digital transformation.

The maintenance of non-aviation defense equipment (main weapon system) is a critical aspect in maintaining operational readiness. However, the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) system in Indonesia still faces limitations due to manual reporting, inefficiency in spare parts management, and the lack of integration of the Life Cycle Cost (LCC) approach. This study aims to design and develop the Integrated Cavalry Monitoring and Maintenance System (ICMMS) based on a web application that integrates sensors, real-time data analytics, and LCC calculation. The prototyping method was used, involving design, development, integration, and testing phases on the Maung Tactical Vehicle and Anoa Armoured Personnel Carrier at PT Pindad. The results of the prototype implementation showed a significant increase in maintenance efficiency: damage reporting time decreased from ±3 hours to ±1 minute, critical component identification became 95% faster, and maintenance scheduling shifted from reactive to predictive. Additionally, the integration of the LCC algorithm allows for more accurate maintenance cost estimation, supporting technical and strategic decision-making. This study demonstrates that ICMMS based on LCC can be an innovative digital solution to enhance MRO effectiveness and operational readiness of non-aviation defense vehicles in Indonesia. It is expected that this system will improve the resilience and cost-effectiveness of managing Indonesia’s military vehicle fleet.

Posters are an important means of conveying information and promoting products or services to a wider audience through the power of visual communication. This research focuses on redesigning promotional and informational posters to support the marketing strategy of the Kopi Es Tak Kie website, a long-standing Chinese culinary heritage in Jakarta. The main objectives of this research are to enhance visual appeal, expand market reach, and strengthen cultural values ​​through print media designs that are representative and relevant to the development of the digital era. The approach used is visual communication design with the Design Thinking method. The stages in this method include audience needs research, design concept design, prototyping, and usability evaluation involving target respondents. In the visualization process, Figma software was used to arrange the poster layout, while Procreate was utilized to create complementary illustrations that provide an artistic and authentic feel. The resulting poster design emphasizes the use of a color palette of brick red, cream, and dark blue, combined with script and sans-serif typography. This combination was chosen to convey a cultural message while emphasizing the exclusive image of the Kopi Es Tak Kie brand. The visual harmony of color and typography enhances the cultural narrative while emphasizing the modern brand identity. The primary audience for this poster is young adults aged 22–40 who are interested in the fusion of traditional coffee culture and modern lifestyle. The findings of this study indicate that the redesigned poster is effective in bridging cultural heritage with digital branding, strengthening the identity of Kopi Es Tak Kie across both offline and online platforms. Thus, the poster medium is proven to act as a communication bridge connecting historical values ​​with contemporary marketing strategies.

The manual, paper-based election of the Student Council President faces various challenges, such as the lengthy vote counting process and the potential for errors in the recapitulation. To address these issues, this study designed a web-based e-voting information system at SMK Negeri 4 Tangerang Regency. This system was built using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, which emphasizes speed of development through iteration and prototyping based on user feedback. The development results indicate that e-voting can accelerate voting and vote counting, provide real-time results, and reduce paper usage. This system has been tested using blackbox testing, proving that all functions work as expected and are easily accessible to students. The study concludes that the implementation of web-based e-voting can improve efficiency, security, and transparency in the election of the Student Council President, with suggestions for system usage simulations and regular usability evaluations. Furthermore, this study also shows that the implementation of a web-based e-voting system can reduce the potential for fraud that often occurs in manual elections. With an automated and integrated system, every vote cast by voters is recorded accurately, reducing human error in the vote counting process. System security is also maintained through authentication mechanisms that ensure only authorized users can vote, as well as data encryption to protect sensitive information. This increases voter confidence in the election results, as the process is more transparent and free from manipulation. Furthermore, although the e-voting system has proven effective in increasing election efficiency and accuracy, the study also recommends the need for training for system users, both students and election committee members, to ensure they can utilize the system optimally. Continuous evaluation of the system's usability is also crucial to ensure that the interface remains user-friendly and easily accessible to all parties.

The digitalization of cultural preservation through education is crucial in the digital era. The Betawi Cultural Community, Sanggar Bale Bambu in Depok, West Java, faces challenges in introducing Betawi culture to the public, particularly in the documentation and management of cultural services. Although many studies on cultural digitalization exist, few educational applications directly collaborate with cultural communities and support cultural services. This study aims to design the User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) of a mobile application as a learning medium for Betawi culture and cultural services, beginning with user needs identification to minimize development errors. The method used is Design Thinking, which emphasizes empathetic understanding of user needs and produces innovative solutions. The research process includes problem formulation, empathy, ideation, responsive prototyping using Figma, and qualitative Usability Testing. The result is an application Prototype with six main educational features: pencak silat, ondel-ondel, Betawi music, Betawi accessories, lenong, and palang pintu. Testing showed that the application is easy to use, informative, and effective as a digital medium for introducing Betawi culture. Further research can continue with in-depth quantitative Testing, back-end integration, and broader user Testing for additional validation.

This research aims to design and build a web-based application calledWe Listen We Don’t Judgewhich is able to analyze links entered by users, whether from social media or other websites. The system will automatically assess the content of the link, then provide neutral and constructive suggestions or input to users. The system development uses an approachSystem Development Life Cycle(SDLC) prototyping model to obtain a system that meets user needs. The prototype is tested iteratively to obtain feedback before entering the final implementation stage. The final result of this research is an interactive information system that is able to perform link content analysis and provide suggestions with a simple and user-friendly interface.

Technological advancements and digital transformation have significantly impacted business management, including the consulting sector. PQM Consultants faces challenges in managing inquiries, which are still manually handled using Microsoft Excel. This manual process results in fragmented data, delays in accessing information, input errors, and difficulties in real-time monitoring of inquiry statuses. These issues affect operational efficiency, data transparency, and timely decision-making.   This research focuses on developing a web-based inquiry management platform through the Design Thinking methodology, aiming to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of inquiry handling at PQM Consultants. Adopting a qualitative case study approach, the study gathers insights through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and document reviews involving consultants and support team members who are directly engaged in the inquiry process. Research participants consist of consultants and support team members directly involved in inquiry management. The study uses a Design Thinking approach, which focuses on solving problems through repeated refinement and actively involving users throughout the development process. This framework supports the development of creative solutions by deeply understanding user needs, defining key challenges, and continuously refining ideas through prototyping and testing (Costich 2021). The Empathize stage focuses on understanding user needs and challenges. The Define stage formulates the core problems specifically. The Ideate stage generates creative ideas as potential solutions. The Prototype stage develops an initial design of the platform, which is then tested during the Test stage to gather feedback for further refinement. The results indicate that the web-based inquiry management platform effectively addresses various challenges in managing inquiry data, such as access delays, input errors, and data fragmentation. The platform enables consultants to monitor inquiry statuses in real-time, access data transparently, and make faster and more accurate decisions.

Education is used as a means of improving human resources. In increasing educational progress, a data management system is needed such as student, class, educator and education data, as well as recapitulation of school data reports for early childhood education levels. This Early Childhood Monitoring Information System was built for the process of monitoring Early Kindergarten (TK) reports to control student activities at school and make it easier to provide information on the development of children's activities that are reported in student activities, without having to use the old system by recording all student progress. manually because it is less efficient in its use and makes it easier for teachers to monitor students. The method used in system development is prototyping. The use of information systems makes it easier for teachers to input monitoring data and results of grades so that teacher users can easily monitor the progress of their students.
