Anchored in a qualitative descriptive approach, the study synthesizes document analysis and cadet surveys to unravel the multifaceted dynamics shaping the educational landscape. The document analysis reveals a curriculum at STIP Jakarta that aligns commendably with international standards, supported by comprehensive lecturer training programmes. However, the nuanced cadet perspectives spotlight a need for refined emphasis on the practical application of English proficiency in real-world maritime scenarios. Cadet self-assessment underscores both confidence in academic intelligence and an identified need for additional language support, calling for targeted interventions. Exploring professional competences uncovers a disparity between technical proficiency and English Maritime communication, highlighting the importance of a holistic approach to bridge this gap. Cadet motivations vary from a genuine passion for maritime activities to the allure of lucrative career prospects and international recognition. Recognizing this diversity urges the need for personalised career guidance and mentorship programmes. The demographic diversity of the cadet sample, representing majors in Nautical, Technical, and Port and Shipping Management, ensures a comprehensive exploration of maritime education. This study delves into the intricacies of the Maritime Education and Training (MET) program at the Maritime Institute Jakarta (STIP Jakarta), focusing on Semester 3 cadets. Adopting a qualitative and descriptive research approach, the research aims to elucidate the perspectives of 240 cadets through the lens of academic self-checked intelligence, professional competences, motivations, and their interconnections. The findings reveal diverse self-checked intelligence profiles across Nautical, Technical, and Port and Shipping Management majors, necessitating a nuanced curriculum tailored to their distinct strengths. English communication emerges as a pivotal professional competence, urging a strategic enhancement of language instruction to equip cadets for effective communication in the global maritime community. Motivations driving cadet dedication encompass familial legacies, a love for the sea, and the pursuit of international exposure. Recognising and nurturing these intrinsic motivators emerges as a crucial element for sustaining cadet engagement. The positive correlation between self-checked intelligence and professional competences underscores the importance of tailored support mechanisms, prompting recommendations for mentorship programs and supplementary resources. Implications for STIP Jakarta include the need for continuous quality improvement through periodic curriculum reviews, fostering a holistic approach that combines technical proficiency with soft skills. The research contributes to the discourse on maritime education, offering a roadmap for institutions to navigate industry dynamics and diverse cadet needs. The findings, discussions, and recommendations collectively enrich the understanding of Semester 3 cadet perspectives, offering actionable insights for educators, administrators, and policymakers to refine and elevate maritime education at STIP Jakarta.

The aim of this research is to determine the role of the school principal as a leader in enhancing the professional competence of teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Siborongborong. The method employed in this research is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of this study were the school principal and teachers. Data analysis techniques included data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The findings of this research describe the role of the school principal as a leader in improving the professional competence of teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Siborongborong. The roles of the school principal as a leader involve providing guidance and supervision to all educators by holding joint meetings, enhancing the willingness and capabilities of educational staff through specific evaluations conducted three times a year to enhance the professional competence of teachers, establishing two-way communication by engaging in regular communication with all educators almost every day, and delegating tasks to all educators and educational staff, such as carrying out learning evaluations for all teachers, students, and all personnel serving at SMK Negeri 1 Siborongborong with the aim of enhancing the professional competence of teachers.

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of PAK Teachers' Professional Competence on the Learning Interest of Class IX Students of SMP Negeri 2 Nainggolan for the 2023/2024 Academic Year. The method used is quantitative with descriptive statistics with a population of all grade IX students of SMP Negeri 2 Nainggolan for the 2023/2024 Academic Year totaling 65 people and set the sample to be total so that it is a population study. Data was collected with a positive closed questionnaire of 40 items.  The results of the data analysis show that there is an influence of PAK Teacher Professional Competence on the Learning Interest of Class IX Students of SMP Negeri 2 Nainggolan for the 2023/2024 Academic Year: 1) Test the analysis requirements: a) test the relationship between variable X and variable Y obtained the value rxy = 0.776 > rtabel(=0.05; IK=95%; n = 65) = 0.244 thus it is known that there is a positive relationship between variable X and variable Y. 2) Influence test: a) Regression equation test, obtained regression equation Ŷ = 18.917 + 0.738X. b) Regression coefficient of determination test (r2) = 60.2%. 3) Test the hypothesis using the r test obtained by calculating > rtable, which is 0.776 > 0.244. Thus, the hypothesis put forward in this study can be accepted, namely that there is an influence of PAK Teacher Professional Competence on the Learning Interest of Class IX Students of SMP Negeri 2 Nainggolan for the 2023/2024 Academic Year. The implication of the research results is that if to increase students' interest in learning, PAK teachers must improve their professionalism.

This study aims to identify and analyze the influence of work discipline and professional competence on teacher performance at SDIT Atikah Musaddad. The population in this study were teachers with a survey approach and data analysis techniques using multiple linear regression. Based on the data that has fulfilled the validity test, reliability test, and classic assumption test it is processed to produce the regression equation as follows Y = 10.114 + 0.272X1 + 0.457X2 + e. The test results show that work discipline and professional competence simultaneously have a significant effect on teacher performance at SDIT Atikah Musaddad. Partially Work Discipline and Professional Competence have a significant effect on Teacher performance at SDIT Atikah Musaddad.

This research aims to ; 1) To find out how the Subject Teacher Deliberation Activities (MGMP) are conducted; 2) To find out what the professional competence of Indonesian language teachers at Tanjung Pinang City Middle School is. 3) To determine the influence of Subject Teacher Deliberation Activities (MGMP) on the professional competence of Indonesian Language teachers in Tanjung Pinang City Middle Schools. The research subjects were 45 Indonesian Language Teachers at Tanjung Pinang City Middle Schools. Data collection techniques using observation and documentation questionnaires. The research results show that Subject Teacher Deliberation Activities (MGMP) activities reached 87%. This is proven by the results of the questionnaire data which reached 87%, which is in the range of 81-100% in the Very Good category. Meanwhile, research results on teacher professional competence reached 86%, this is proven by the results of questionnaire data which reached 86%, which is in the range of 81-100% in the Very Good category. The influence of Subject Teacher Deliberation Activities (MGMP) on the professional competence of Indonesian Language teachers in Tanjung Pinang City Middle School. The calculation results obtained a value of rxy = 0.838 which is between (0.800 - 1.000). Thus, rcount is greater than rtable at the 5% significance level and 1% significance level (0.294 < 0.380 < 0.838), this means that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. So the correlation analysis value shows that the influence of Subject Teacher Deliberation Activities (MGMP) on the professional competence of Indonesian Language teachers in Tanjung Pinang City Middle Schools is 70.2%.
