The purpose of this study was to develop a picture story book as a picture story book in science learning to improve the learning outcomes of grade IV students of SDN 04 Tente. The type of research used was R & D using the ADDIE development model including analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation activities. The results of the study showed that the results of the book development that was made could be used as a learning resource in thematic learning were declared valid. This can be seen from the results of expert validation consisting of media validation, language validation, and expert validation of learning. The picture story book as a learning resource in thematic learning obtained a value of 84.66% with a very feasible category. The picture story book as a learning resource in thematic learning was declared practical. The results of the questionnaire analysis filled out by 22 respondents/students with an average value of 97.36% in the very practical category. This research is Class Action Research (PTK), set at State Elementary School 125/IX Simpang Selat. The objects of this research were class III students at State Elementary School 125/IX Simpang Selat, and the aim of this research was to apply educational picture story book media to the learning of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS), animal life cycle material. This research was carried out in two cycles and four stages, including: (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, (4) reflection. Data was obtained through observation, interviews and documentation. Using qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The results of the research show that the application of educational picture storybook media can increase students' learning motivation in the learning process. Increased learning motivation can be measured from assessments in Cycle I and Cycle II. The student learning motivation score in cycle I was 52% in the high category, and the student learning motivation score in cycle II was 82% in the very high category. Therefore, the research results at State Elementary School 125/IX Simpang Selat have been well realized.

Speech delays are a developmental challenge often experienced by young children, which can affect their communication skills and social aspects. This research aims to explore the effectiveness of applying visual and audio media in improving the language skills of young children who experience speech delays. The visual media used are picture flashcards, interactive videos and picture story books, while the audio media is children's music, voice recordings and regional songs. This research was conducted at a language therapy center in Indonesia with a case study approach on 10 children aged 3–5 years. The research results show that the combination of visual and audio media can significantly increase children's attention, vocabulary understanding and speaking abilities. The use of local culture-based media such as regional songs also has a positive impact by creating a sense of relevance and emotional closeness. In addition, active involvement of parents in this process increases the success of the intervention. This research recommends consistent application of visual and audio media as part of local context-based therapy to support the language development of children with speech delays.

The aims of this development research were (1) to find out the validity of picture story books based on Syekh Muhammad Kholil's example, (2) to find out the attractiveness of picture story books based on Syekh Muhammad Kholil's example, (3) to find out the effectiveness of picture story books based on Syekh Muhammad Kholil's example. This development uses a 4D model which has 4 stages namely, Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The research subjects were fourth grade students of UPTD SDN Banyuajuh 6. Based on the validation results of the experts, the following percentages were obtained, language experts 95% (very valid), material experts 85% (very valid), teaching materials experts 87.5% (very valid ), and learning design experts 90% (very valid). The attractiveness of the limited trial was the student response of 95% (very interesting), the field trial was the student response of 95.75% (very interesting), and the teacher's response was 92.5% (very interesting). The effectiveness of picture story books is obtained from learning outcomes in the cognitive domain, learning outcomes in the affective domain, teacher and student activities. Learning completeness shows 100% (classical criteria ³85% of students reach KKM). Teacher activity averaged 95% (very effective), and student activity was 92.75% (very effective). Based on the results of the research, a picture story book based on the example of Sheikh Muhammad Kholil is said to be valid, interesting, and effective so that it can be used.

The illustrated story book The Legend of Harau Valley is a book designed by bringing folklore from Harau. This comic book was created to preserve local folklore and become a medium for introducing folklore to the younger generation. Currently, the younger generation's interest in culture is decreasing, so many people don't know the story about this legend. With this design, it is hoped that the Legend of Harau Valley will be increasingly recognized by the wider community so that it becomes a regional identity and its sustainability is maintained. The illustrations in this design use a semi-realist and full color illustration style to make it more easily accepted and liked by the younger generation. The method used in designing this picture book is the glass box method based on data obtained through observation, interviews, literature studies and documentation of the folklore The Legend of Harau Valley. In the problem solving process, 5W+1H analysis is used. This design resulted in a main media in the form of a picture story book entitled "The Legend of the Creation of the Harau Valley". Supporting media options used are bookmarks, e-books, x-banners, hand fans, mini notebooks, posters and tote bags.

Current technological developments make many children choose to play with their gadget. This makes them sometimes lazy to read a book. But that can be tricked by story bookspictorial. The picture book itself has several advantages besides drawings that attract children's attention. Like an easy story to understand, contain meaning or stories of life learning, enhance imagination, and the existence of pictures in the story book will give a picture of imagination and fantasy in children. Therefore children are advised to be fond of reading book. Picture books have many variations on the theme the story, like about friendship or other fable stories. And for children who don't like books, can start with this picture book. Can be started by looking at the pictures, then just learning to read contents of the story of the book. In kindergarten HARAPAN MASA itself reading activities the book is still lacking. Most teachers read later students mimic. This is still considered inefficient because not all children will pay attention to. By holding the book reading activity, children are expected TK HOPE MASA can more smoothly read a book In collecting data, the method used by the author is by using interview research methods, surveys, literature studies. For making it using the CorelDRAW X7 program, Adobe Illustrator CS6, Adobe Photoshop CS5 and Manga Studio 5. The existence of this picture book is expected to increase children's interest in reading books.
