This community service activity aims to integrate theory and practice through the construction of simple shelters by the academic community of the Vocational Program at Gorontalo State University. The activity is motivated by the need to improve the technical competence and social skills of building architecture students. The method used is participatory action learning, involving students and faculty members from planning to evaluation. The activities include group division, case studies at brick and block factories, construction of the lower, middle, and upper structures, and final assessment. The results showed that 70% of students mastered construction skills in accordance with simple building standards, with the final product being a functional shelter. The main challenges faced were team coordination and time management. Discussions confirmed that this model is effective in enhancing technical skills, teamwork, and understanding of sustainable construction, and is worth replicating in other vocational programs. The shelter construction also provided an opportunity to reflect on real-world applications of architectural theory, while addressing pressing community needs. Through active participation, students gained firsthand knowledge in applying design concepts and construction techniques that are crucial to the construction industry. Furthermore, the activity demonstrated the potential for developing students' abilities to apply architectural concepts that are not only relevant to academic requirements but also to practical, community-based construction needs. The project also emphasized the importance of sustainable building practices, focusing on materials and methods that minimize environmental impact. The construction of the shelter not only provided practical experience but also enriched students' knowledge in creating environmentally friendly and sustainable construction solutions.

The literacy program implemented at MTs Muslimat NU as part of the MBKM initiative addresses the low reading interest among students by fostering a sustainable reading culture. This program aimed to optimize the school library as a center of learning and increase students’ participation in literacy activities. Activities were structured to accommodate gender-specific groups, dividing each class into two sessions—one for female students and another for male students—conducted from Monday to Thursday. Each group participated twice weekly, engaging in reading exercises, book discussions, and digital literacy training. The methods involved collaborative planning with teachers and students of MBKM, surveys, and focus group discussions to identify the specific needs of the school community. The results demonstrated significant improvements in reading habits, as evidenced by a 30% increase in library visits and active participation in literacy clubs. Additionally, the program fostered the emergence of student leaders who encouraged their peers to engage in reading and critical discussions. Local food-based Entrepreneurship Training will be one of the important things for the community in utilizing products. However, there are several major problems in the Production sector such as the continuity of local food products not being available at all times because the community does not utilize raw products to be processed into new products that have added value. In addition, there are problems in the managerial and marketing fields. The problems in the managerial field are lack of planning, organization, lack of organization, lack of directors in the division of work in groups and lack of supervision. In the marketing field, there are still problems in promoting and selling products where in addition the products have not been accepted by the Community. The method of implementing Community Service activities from the UNIMOR Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) provides solutions in answering the problems that exist in the Kasih Setia Women Farmers group. The method of implementing the activities in question is by identifying problems using the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) model. The results achieved are that Farmers gain Knowledge in the Empowerment Program through Entrepreneurship Training activities by changing Purple Sweet Potato and Yellow Pumpkin materials into pumpkin sticks and purple sweet potato sticks so that they have added value to the product. There are several suggestions that need to be considered in empowering the Kasih Setia Farmer group, namely that Farmer Empowerment activities must continue to be encouraged in other villages or in the village with an empowerment model in the form of other processed foods to increase farmers' knowledge in processing local products into new products so that the added value of the product becomes higher to penetrate the market.

Urban green-space conflicts have emerged as a significant challenge for marginalized communities, exacerbating existing social and environmental inequalities in cities undergoing rapid urbanization and environmental transitions. This study explores the dynamics of access to justice for marginalized groups in the context of urban green-space conflicts, focusing on the barriers they face and the enabling factors that improve their ability to access legal remedies. Through a socio-legal research design, data was collected using surveys, case reviews, and stakeholder interviews, which were analyzed to identify key physical, socio-economic, and institutional barriers that hinder equitable access to green spaces. Findings revealed that marginalized communities often experience physical barriers such as limited proximity to green spaces, socio-economic disparities that prevent them from accessing legal resources, and institutional constraints, including discriminatory urban planning policies. Despite these challenges, enabling factors such as legal aid networks, participatory forums, and inclusive urban planning policies emerged as crucial elements in improving access to justice for these communities. Moreover, the study examined the impact of social and environmental transitions, such as urbanization and climate change, on justice outcomes, showing that these transitions can either exacerbate or alleviate barriers depending on how policies are implemented. The study emphasizes the need for policy reforms that promote equity in urban planning and legal aid systems, ensuring that marginalized communities are included in decision-making processes. Future research should explore the impact of environmental justice policies in global contexts and investigate new legal frameworks to address the specific needs of vulnerable populations.

This community service program aims to internalize the exemplary values of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) through the commemoration of Mawlid al-Nabi as an effort to strengthen the religious character of the community in Bulusidokare, Sidoarjo. The main issue addressed is the tendency for Mawlid activities to remain largely ceremonial, thereby limiting their impact on shaping community attitudes and behavior. The program employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, involving 45 participants consisting of community members and local leaders. The activities were conducted through stages of collaborative planning, educational sessions, interactive discussions, as well as reflection and evaluation. The results indicate a noticeable improvement in participants’ understanding of the Prophet’s exemplary values, accompanied by positive changes in attitudes and behavior toward more religiously grounded practices. In addition, increased community participation was observed, along with the emergence of individuals acting as local leaders who promote the application of these values within their social environment. These findings suggest that an educational and participatory approach is effective in fostering a deeper and more sustainable internalization of values. In conclusion, the program not only enhances knowledge but also contributes to social transformation through the strengthening of the community’s religious character. This initiative has the potential to serve as a replicable model of community service based on religious values in other contexts.

The advancement of digital technology has revolutionized marketing from traditional methods to online approaches. Digital marketing, leveraging digital media and the internet, including e-commerce and social media, has become a crucial element in promoting products and services. According to Kotler and Keller (2023), digital marketing not only boosts sales but also strengthens brand identity and fosters customer relationships. In Indonesia, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), which significantly contribute to the local economy, can utilize digital marketing to expand their market reach and improve efficiency. This study was conducted in Ngampel Kulon Village, Kendal Regency, Central Java, focusing on MSME operators and aspiring entrepreneurs who have not fully utilized digital platforms such as WhatsApp Business. The research method involved observation, economic potential identification, and training using a Participatory Rural Approach. The training covered four main components: an introduction to digital marketing basics, copywriting techniques, digital marketing strategies, and hands-on practice with guidance. Results showed that 34 local residents and 15 KKN students exhibited high enthusiasm and successfully applied promotional strategies through social media. The evaluation indicated an improvement in knowledge and skills in using WhatsApp Business for product marketing. The conclusion is that the training successfully enhanced MSMEs' understanding and skills in digital marketing, including digital content creation and social media utilization. The program also emphasizes the need for policy makers' involvement in planning and managing local product marketing to compete globally and adapt to ongoing technological trends.
