Learning activities carried out at Ambon 6 Public High School with the theme, namely Mading as Students' Interest in Reading to Get to Know National Integration in the Frame of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. Where through this learning activity it is used with a cooperative learning model where students are given the opportunity to develop themselves through small groups with the aim of discussing in relation to the material on National Integration in the Frame of Unity in Diversity. Through these learning activities students develop knowledge and social skills in which there is an interaction relationship between teachers and students as well as students and students. Mading is the final result where all information relating to National Integration Within the Frame of Bhineka Tunggal Ika is poured or written on a picture, or there is a combination of the two. Inside the wall magazine is then presented in front of the class.

Children's interest in reading in Indonesia is still a big challenge, although there are many efforts to improve it. Many factors influence, such as lack of access to interesting books, more dominant gadget play habits, and also an environment that is less supportive of reading habits. However, children's interest in reading in Indonesia can grow if they are introduced to relevant and interesting books, and encouraged to read from an early age. To foster an interest in reading, children need to be given the opportunity to find the type of reading that suits their interests and age. Books that are exciting and easy to understand can be a bridge so that they are more interested in reading. In addition, a supportive school and family environment, such as providing special time to read and discuss books, also plays a very important role in fostering positive reading habits. This research is qualitative with informants from the Principal and supporting informants for librarians, teachers and students at Nurul Hadina Junior High School. Data were collected using observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the study show that Nurul Hadina Junior High School plays an active role in increasing students' interest in reading through the school library. The role of the subjects in this library is (1) teaching how to find information, (2) improving writing skills, (3) helping independent learning, (4) improving reading habits, (5) helping with schoolwork, (6) critical thinking skills.

Pendidikan anak usia dini merupakan suatu upaya pembinaan dan ditujukan kepada anak sejak lahir sampai dengan usia enam tahun yang dilakukan melalui pemberian rangsangan pendidikan membantu pertumbuhan dan perkembangan jasmani dan rohani agar anak memiliki kesiapan dalam memasuki pendidikan lebih lanjut. Pelaksanaan program ini sering kali menghadapi kendala, baik internal maupun eksternal. Kendala eksternal yaitu dimana orang tua anak-anak yang acuh tak acuh terhadap kegiatan program yang dilaksanakan di TK tersebut. Program aku suka membaca untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca. Data dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan observasi dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif Program "Aku Senang Membaca Buku" di TK Pembina 1 Medan menunjukkan potensi yang baik dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi anak. Namun, untuk mencapai hasil yang lebih optimal, diperlukan langkah-langkah konkret seperti peningkatan anggaran, penyediaan sumber daya yang memadai, serta pelatihan bagi guru.Penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa program ini memiliki potensi yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan minat baca dan kemampuan literasi anak usia dini. Peningkatan minat baca dan kemampuan literasi anak yang terobservasi setelah pelaksanaan program menunjukkan bahwa dengan pendekatan yang tepat, anak-anak dapat didorong untuk mengembangkan kebiasaan membaca yang baik.

Data were collected through student evaluations, lecturers' opinions, and librarians' perspectives. The data collection methods included questionnaires, observations, and interviews, with data analysis conducted through reduction processes. The study results highlight four main points: 1) The types of books that attract students' interest include fiction and non-fiction books. 2) External factors influencing reading interest include the environment, support from lecturers, and available facilities. 3) From librarians' perspectives, students' reading interest is affected by curiosity, available facilities, and academic assignments. 4) Efforts to enhance students' reading interest can be carried out through activities such as library visit competitions and book review contests. In conclusion, two types of books—fiction and non-fiction—can influence students' reading interest. A survey of 100 students revealed that 75% preferred fiction books, while the remaining 25% favored non-fiction books.

Literacy in the sense of the ability to read and write initially has a very important role, literacy in the early grades is the basis for determining success in student learning activities, but there are still students in elementary schools who are not able to read and write (literacy) well. So researchers are interested in conducting research with the title "Student Abilities and factors that influence literacy". This service activity was carried out at SDN 032 Tanjung Batu Tarakan on September 21 2024 at 08:00-11:30 WITA. The formulation of the problem in this research is "What factors influence the literacy of children at SD Negeri 032 Tanjung Batu Tarakan?". This research aims to determine various factors that influence children's literacy taught at school. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research type. The subjects in this research were students whose literacy was still lacking at SD Negeri 032 Tanjung Batu Tarakan, totaling 68 students consisting of 44 boys and 24 girls. Data collection was carried out using tests and interviews. The research results obtained in this study are that there are several factors that influence children's literacy, including the educational background of parents, the tutoring they receive, the family (level of family concern) and genes (heredity).

This study aims to describe the role of parents in preventing gadget addiction in children in order to minimize obstacles in the process of child development. The research was conducted at Rumah Baca Kita Buniseuri, DusunKidul, Buniseuri, Cipaku, Ciamis, for two months from September 1 to November 1, 2024. A descriptive qualitative approach was used in this study with purposive sampling technique, which involved parents who actively use gadgets and play a role in children's learning at home. Data were collected through observation, interviews, data reduction, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman technique with triangulation for data validity. The results show that gadget addiction in children can be overcome by the active role of parents in supervising and limiting the use of gadgets, as well as encouraging children's interest in reading through reading together and utilizing public facilities such as Rumah Baca Kita. This research has important implications in efforts to improve the quality of child development through collaboration between parents and non-formal education facilities.

Students reading interest is a crucial factor in enhancing the quality of education. However, the lack of structured data makes it challenging to identify specific patterns of reading interest. This study aims to implement a data mining method using the Naive Bayes algorithm to analyze students' reading interest at SMP Negeri 2 Palembang's library. The data used includes book borrowing history, types of books, and library visit frequency over one semester. The analysis results indicate that the Naive Bayes method achieves an accuracy rate of 80% in classifying reading interest based on predetermined categories. These findings are expected to assist the school in designing more effective literacy programs.  

The purpose of this study is 1) To describe the parenting patterns applied by single parents in increasing children's reading interest in Sukowiryo Village, Bondowoso District, Bondowoso Regency 2) To describe the inhibiting and supporting factors for single parents in increasing children's reading interest in Sukowiryo Village, Bondowoso District, Bondowoso Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach, this approach uses the natural environment as a direct source of data, is descriptive analytical, emphasizes the process rather than the results. The results of this study indicate that: 1) In the process of raising their children, two single parent families tend to use authoritarian, permissive and democratic parenting patterns in encouraging their children to be more active in reading so that their education can develop well. 2) a) The inhibiting factor for single parents in raising their children is the control of single parent families in the process of supervising and communicating with their children cannot be done fully every day due to time constraints. This also has an impact on children's learning/reading discipline. In addition, their unstable economic factors cause a lack of availability of reading materials for children, so that children do not maximize their learning. b) While the supporting factors for single parents in raising their sons or daughters are the self-acceptance and determination of the single parents that they have built and fixed to live their lives. They try their best to continue to pay attention to the continuation of their children's education.  

This research discusses the impact of the School Literacy Movement (GLS) at MAN 1 Pandeglang to increase students' interest in reading and literacy skills through literacy outreach every Wednesday morning. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection through interviews, observation and documentation. The results show that GLS is implemented in three stages: Habituation, Development, and Learning. Even though there is support from various parties, challenges such as a lack of reading materials and the performance of the school literacy team are obstacles. This research recommends improving facilities and program evaluation to support the success of GLS. With that, the writing of this article will discuss the problem statement: 1) What is the meaning of the School Literacy Movement (GLS) 2) How is the School Literacy Movement (GLS) implemented. 3) What is the impact of the Literacy program on MAN 1 Pandeglang students and students?

Tujuan dari kegiatan Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman tentang pentingnya minat baca dan literasi siswa di SD 106824 Basamat, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, melalui penerapan media pohon literasi. Penelitian kuantitatif ini melibatkan 50 siswa yang dipilih secara purposive. Kegiatan dimulai dengan pre-test untuk mengukur tingkat pemahaman awal siswa mengenai minat baca dan literasi. Setelah itu, dilakukan sosialisasi penggunaan media pohon literasi untuk mendorong minat baca siswa dan meningkatkan keterampilan literasi mereka. Setelah kegiatan selesai, dilaksanakan post-test untuk menilai perubahan yang terjadi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dengan nilai n-gain sebesar 0,250, meskipun masih terdapat potensi untuk peningkatan lebih lanjut. Diharapkan kegiatan ini dapat memicu terciptanya budaya literasi yang berkelanjutan di sekolah.

The arrangement of the library in SD N 1 Demulih has not been fully implemented based on the flow of the library layout to facilitate and process the work done by the library staff, the library layout can attract students' interest in reading. This study uses a descriptive research method with a qualitative method. The data collection techniques used in this study are observation sheets and interview list sheets conducted at SD N 1 Demulih. The results of this study is the Library at SD N 1 Demulih have carried out several strategies for physical and non-physical arrangement of the library. The physical arrangement strategy that has been carried out is the location of the Library that is accessible to students, bright lighting and available air ventilation as well as providing facilities and infrastructure such as chairs and tables in good condition that can be used by students when reading the library collection. Providing these strategies is very important for readers so that students who read in the library feel comfortable and make them feel at home so that the students want to come back again to read.

This research aims to assess the effect of a fairy tale-based literacy approach on improving students' reading abilities. The approach used is a qualitative descriptive method, with data collection through observation, interviews and documentation. The research results showed that before the program was implemented, students' interest in reading was low. However, after the program was implemented, there was a significant increase in students' participation and understanding of reading material, especially in terms of listening, composing stories, and discussions. As many as 85% of students were actively involved, showing higher enthusiasm for literacy activities. This program is considered effective in improving students' literacy skills, with recommendations that literacy activities be held regularly with a variety of more interesting stories, as well as involving parents to support a good reading environment at home.

In line with the rapid advancement of technology, there has been a significant decline in reading interest across various age groups—both adults and children. One of the main contributing factors is the increasing addiction to digital devices, which has shifted attention away from reading activities and learning responsibilities at home. In response to this issue, we have initiated a movement aimed at revitalizing the spirit of literacy through the establishment and development of the Baitul Ilmi Community Reading Center located in Gesang Village. As an initial step, we have launched a book donation program, open to anyone who wishes to contribute books to support the sustainability of this literacy initiative. Based on our preliminary study, the primary target audience of this program includes children at the kindergarten and elementary school levels. To enhance their engagement and participation, we have adopted the field trip method as our key strategy. This method has proven to effectively increase children's enthusiasm and has received a positive response from the local community, particularly from parents. This initiative is also supported by various community stakeholders, including village authorities, the Family Welfare Empowerment Team (TP PKK), and the Gesang Village Youth Organization (Karang Taruna), all of whom are committed to fostering a culture of literacy from an early age to ensure a brighter future for the next generation.

This research is motivated by the interest in learning to learn to read the Qur'an is very important for santri / female students of fishermen's children at MDTA Darul Hujjaj Joundul II Complex Tabing Hajj Dormitory. The purpose of this research in general is to find out how the interest in learning and the ability to read the Qur'an of fishermen's children at MDTA Darul Hujjaj Joundul II Complex Tabing Hajj Dormitory. This research uses a qualitative approach in the form of a case study. Data collection techniques in this study are using observation, interview and documentation techniques. Then the data that has been collected is processed with the analysis model. The results of the research conducted, the author can conclude that there are several variations in the interest and ability to read the al quran of fishermen's children at MDTA Darul Hujjaj. For santri who have been able to read Al quran and Iqro‘ fluently on average have a high interest in learning Al qur'an, while on the contrary for santri who have not been able to read Al quran and Iqro’ on average have a low interest in learning Al qur'an. Therefore, the figure of a teacher in this process is an important thing, because from the results of the study it is concluded that the way and method of teaching an MDTA teacher can affect the ability and interest in reading of fishermen's children in MDTA Darul Hujjaj.

Minat baca merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam perkembangan literasi siswa yang dapat mempengaruhi pencapaian akademis serta kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif dikemudian harinya atau sebagai landasan untuk tingkat pendidikan lebih lanjut. Akan tetapi, fenomena di Indonesia tingkat minat baca siswa sekolah dasar tergolong rendah, yang disebabkan oleh kurangnya akses terhadap bahan bacaan yang menarik serta terbatasnya kegiatan literasi yang inovatif dan menyenangkan. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat baca siswa SD Al-Hikmah melalui Program Literasi Kreatif, yang dirancang untuk mengintegrasikan kegiatan literasi dengan kreativitas. Program ini melibatkan berbagai kegiatan seperti pembuatan cerita bergambar, permainan peran berdasarkan buku cerita yang dilakukan di perpustakaan sekolah atau pun di dalam kelas. Kegiatan-kegiatan itu mendorong siswa untuk mengekspresikan ide-ide mereka melalui tulisan dan gambar. Melalui pendekatan yang interaktif dan menyenangkan, diharapkan siswa dapat melihat membaca sebagai aktivitas yang menarik dan bermanfaat, sehingga minat baca mereka akan meningkat. Hasil dari pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat menunjukkan peningkatan minat baca siswa, yang diukur melalui partisipasi aktif dalam kegiatan, peningkatan frekuensi membaca, serta perubahan sikap positif terhadap kegiatan membaca. Program ini juga bertujuan untuk memberikan model pembelajaran literasi yang dapat diadopsi oleh sekolah-sekolah lain guna membudayakan literasi di kalangan siswa sejak dini

This journal discusses the influence of activities to increase interest in reading in the era of digitalization, by using free e-books at SMP Negeri 3 Tasik Payawan in Hiang Bana Village. Interest in reading is a basic element in developing individual literacy. Literacy does not focus on aspects of reading and writing, but on the skills to understand, analyze and interpret information conveyed through writing. This socialization aims to increase reading interest in using e-books so that students can use them easily in the current era of digitalization. This activity was carried out by the KKN 105 team at Palangka Raya University. The socialization activity was held on Wednesday, August 7 2024. The activity started at 07.30 WIB until finished. Results and discussion of the implementation of activities by the Palangka Raya University KKN 105 team for Tasik Payawan Middle School 3 students with socialization regarding increasing students' interest in reading in the era of digitalization, using e-books for free can provide positive benefits and value for socialization participants, especially Tasik Payawan Middle School 3 students. After the socialization was held, the KKN team together with Class IX students formed a reading community via the social media WhatsApp. The aim of forming this community is for KKN students to be able to provide more detailed explanations that were not given during the socialization. This forum is also used as a medium for distributing various quality and enjoyable e-books to female students. It is hoped that with this socialization and the formation of a reading community, students' access to reading sources will become wider, students' interest in reading will increase, literacy levels will increase and the quality of human resources for the next generation of young people will improve.

Education is a deliberate effort to pass on cultural heritage from one generation to the next. It aims to shape the younger generation to be role models for the previous one. The Community Service method, through a Service Learning (SL) approach, involves applying acquired knowledge to assist the community through direct interaction and providing solutions to their problems. The KKM Group 31 students in Desa Citasuk offer a solution to enhance reading literacy among young children in the area by setting up a Reading Corner. This initiative aims to encourage children to develop a love for reading by providing a variety of books and resources. Reading literacy is crucial for young children in their growth and development. Therefore, community service activities like this KKM project enable students to impart knowledge beyond the classroom while gaining practical experience outside of it. Additionally, the Reading Corner motivates children and boosts their literacy skills.
