This study examines the implementation of Servant Leadership within GMIM Syalom Lelema and its influence on congregational attendance in worship fellowship. Rooted in the theological model of leadership exemplified by Jesus Christ, Servant Leadership emphasizes humility, empathy, presence, and service as core leadership values. Using a qualitative case-study approach, data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation to understand the relational dynamics between church leaders and congregational participation. The findings reveal that the congregation highly values leaders—pastors, elders, and deacons—who demonstrate genuine care, pastoral presence, and willingness to serve. Acts of pastoral visitation, listening to members’ struggles, and showing humility significantly strengthen emotional and spiritual bonds within the community, resulting in higher attendance and engagement in various worship activities. Conversely, leaders who lack servant-like attitudes tend to receive weaker responses from the congregation, which negatively impacts their participation in worship. The study concludes that Servant Leadership is not merely a theological ideal but a practical necessity within the communal culture of GMIM Syalom Lelema. The model effectively fosters stronger relationships, increases congregational commitment, and enhances the vitality of church fellowship. Keywords: Servant Leadership, Pastoral Ministry, Worship Attendance, Ecclesial Leadership, GMIM Syalom Lelema.

The growing demand for transparency, accountability, and measurable performance has transformed higher education institutions into complex public organizations required to deliver reliable and stakeholder-oriented services. Within this governance-driven environment, institutional governance plays a fundamental role in shaping service excellence and institutional legitimacy. Drawing on a public administration perspective, this study examines how governance dimensions influence academic service performance in higher education. This research employs a qualitative descriptive-analytical design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, document analysis, and institutional observations involving university leaders, academic administrators, faculty members, and students. The analysis focuses on governance dimensions—transparency, accountability, participation, effectiveness, and responsibility—and their integration into institutional systems such as performance management, quality assurance, and digital infrastructure. The findings reveal that governance frameworks are formally established through regulations and digital systems; however, their operational integration remains uneven. Transparency improves service reliability when supported by consistent information management, while accountability mechanisms tend to emphasize procedural compliance rather than performance-based evaluation. Stakeholder participation is institutionalized but largely consultative. The study concludes that service excellence in higher education is a governance-driven outcome that requires systemic alignment between governance principles, institutional capacity, and performance management processes. Strengthened governance integration enhances service reliability and institutional legitimacy.

Public speaking is an essential communication skill that plays a crucial role in enhancing self-confidence, delivering ideas effectively, and fostering social participation. However, many women in rural areas still lack opportunities to develop this skill due to limited access to training, gender stereotypes, and minimal experience in public forums. These challenges lead to low levels of women’s involvement, particularly housewives who are members of PKK, in community activities and decision-making processes at the local level. This study aims to examine the impact of public speaking training on improving the knowledge, self-confidence, and social participation of PKK mothers in Nagari Sumpur Kudus. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with a participatory approach through interactive lectures, speaking practice simulations, reflective discussions, participatory observations, and qualitative evaluations. Data were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing based on field notes, observations, and participants’ feedback. The findings indicate that the training successfully improved participants’ understanding of basic public speaking techniques, including intonation, eye contact, body language, and structured idea delivery. Furthermore, the participants experienced significant growth in self-confidence, courage to speak in front of groups, and motivation to continuously practice their communication skills. The interactive and supportive learning atmosphere also strengthened collaboration and solidarity among PKK members. Thus, public speaking training not only enhances individual competencies but also contributes to women’s empowerment and their active participation in community development at the village level.

This study discusses the role of the Kupang City Council in carrying out its supervisory function on gender-responsive maternal and child health policies, with a case study focus on Oebobo District. The background of this study stems from the high maternal and child mortality rates and the suboptimal implementation of Kupang City Regulation No. 7 of 2013. This study uses a qualitative approach with interview, observation, and documentation techniques, and involves informants from DPRD members, health workers, posyandu cadres, and community leaders. The results show that the DPRD, particularly through Commission IV, has carried out its supervisory function through regulatory support, budget allocation, program evaluation, and field visits. Some of the programs supervised include Free Nutritious Meals (MBG), strengthening Posyandu, and basic health services at Puskesmas. However, the effectiveness of supervision still faces various obstacles, including the lack of female representation in the DPRD, strong patriarchal culture, lack of socialization of local regulations, weak cross-sector coordination, and low community participation. The conclusion of this study confirms that the success of gender-responsive maternal and child health policies is greatly influenced by the capacity of the DPRD in oversight, political and budgetary support, and community involvement.

In this Community Service Program (KKN) activity, the main goal is to strengthen social solidarity among the residents through the celebration of Indonesia’s Independence Day in Penagan Ratu Village. Social solidarity is one of the key factors in maintaining harmony and togetherness within the community. However, in today’s modern era, the spirit of cooperation and mutual assistance tends to decline due to individualism and people’s busy daily routines. Therefore, the Independence Day celebration serves as a strategic moment to revive the sense of brotherhood, unity, and social awareness among the villagers. This program was carried out with the active participation of all community members, including village officials, youth organizations (karang taruna), women’s groups, children, and teenagers. Various activities were conducted such as community clean-up (kerja bakti), traditional games, art performances, and a local MSME (UMKM) bazaar. The implementation method was participatory, emphasizing the active involvement of the community in every stage. The results of the program showed a high level of community participation, stronger social bonds, and an increase in the spirit of mutual cooperation. Moreover, the event brought a positive impact through the empowerment of local MSMEs. Thus, the Independence Day celebration was not merely ceremonial, but also served as an effective medium to strengthen social solidarity, fostering a more cohesive, respectful, and socially aware community in Penagan Ratu Village.

The Kaharingan Hindu community represents an indigenous Dayak group residing in Central Kalimantan, distributed across fourteen districts and municipalities. One of these communities is located in Parit Village, Cempaga Hulu Subdistrict, East Kotawaringin Regency. Following its integration into Hinduism in 1980, various forms of religious guidance have been implemented; however, these efforts have not been fully optimal due to the vast geographical conditions of Central Kalimantan. This community service program conducted in Parit Village aims to strengthen the community’s śraddhā (faith) and jñāna (knowledge and understanding) of Hindu teachings. The program employed an outreach and educational approach focused on reinforcing the fundamental principles of Hinduism. Its implementation involved collaborative engagement with several partners, including the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (East Kotawaringin Office), the Kaharingan Hindu Council of Parit Village, and the active participation of the local Hindu community. The results indicate that many community members still lack comprehensive understanding of Hindu doctrines, partly due to limited access to sacred texts. Through the outreach activities, participants demonstrated improved comprehension of basic Hindu teachings, as evidenced by their ability to articulate and elaborate on the materials presented during the discussions.

Informal workers are a group that contributes significantly to the Indonesian economy, but still have a low level of independent participation in the national health insurance program. This low participation is caused by minimal insurance literacy, income instability, and a lack of awareness of the importance of health protection. This activity aims to empower informal workers to have the ability and willingness to become independent participants in health insurance. The method used is a community-based participatory approach through three main stages: education on the benefits of health insurance, microfinance management training for regular premium payments, and assistance with independent registration for participation. The activity results showed a significant increase in participants' knowledge and understanding of the benefits of health insurance. In addition, there was an increase in the number of informal workers registering as independent participants and demonstrating a commitment to sustainable premium payments. This program demonstrates that community empowerment can be an effective strategy to expand Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and improve the welfare of informal workers through sustainable health protection.

This  study explores the motivational factors that encourage students from Kudus who are studying at UIN Walisongo Semarang to join KMKS (Keluarga Mahasiswa Kudus Semarang), a regional student community that serves as a social and emotional support system for migrant students. Increased mobility in higher education often places migrant students in situations requiring significant academic, social, and cultural adjustment, making social support and a sense of belonging critical. Guided by McClelland’s theory of needs, this research aims to identify how the need for achievement, affiliation, and power is reflected in students’ experiences as members of KMKS. This study employs a qualitative phenomenological approach involving five participants selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings reveal that students primarily join KMKS to fulfill strong affiliative needs, such as seeking social connectedness, emotional comfort, familiarity, and a supportive environment among peers from the same region. Additionally, participation in KMKS contributes to personal development, including increased confidence, improved communication skills, and readiness to take organizational responsibilities. The needs for achievement and power appear indirectly through involvement in committees, leadership roles, and contributions to organizational development. KMKS also functions as a crucial coping resource, helping students reduce stress, loneliness, and adaptation difficulties. The implications of this study highlight the importance of regional student communities as a meaningful support system for migrant students, emphasizing their role in facilitating adaptation, strengthening social identity, and fostering personal growth.
