This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the question-and-answer method in mathematics learning. The research method employed is a literature review using a descriptive qualitative approach. Findings from several relevant studies indicate that the question-and-answer method enhances students' learning outcomes, fosters active participation, and strengthens critical thinking and communication skills. Variations in its implementation, such as multi-directional questioning, chain questioning, and experiment-based questioning, enrich classroom interaction and help students grasp abstract mathematical concepts. Furthermore, the method promotes an interactive learning environment where students are encouraged to think critically, reflect on their understanding, and actively engage with their peers. The collaborative nature of the question-and-answer technique supports the development of social skills, making it an effective tool for both cognitive and social learning. Therefore, the question-and-answer method can be considered an effective instructional strategy to improve the quality of mathematics learning, particularly in enhancing problem-solving abilities, fostering a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts, and improving student-teacher interactions.

This community service activity was carried out to support and strengthen the role of Sunday school teachers in fostering the social and emotional development of preschool children. Early social experiences generally begin in the family, but schools and religious education institutions also play a significant role in shaping children’s abilities to interact, share, and communicate effectively. The program was implemented at PAUD Arastamar Kids Pekanbaru through participatory activities that involved teachers and children. The approach emphasized interactive methods such as giving praise, teaching simple religious values, playing games, and organizing creative learning activities. Examples included origami-making, group singing, storytelling, and encouraging children to share crayons or toys with their peers. These activities not only created a fun and engaging learning atmosphere but also helped children develop empathy, cooperation, and independence. Teachers were guided to consistently integrate these activities into their routines to maximize the positive outcomes. The results of this service showed that Sunday school teachers could effectively encourage positive social-emotional growth by combining religious teachings with play-based and interactive learning. In conclusion, the program provided valuable contributions to strengthening the capacity of teachers while creating a supportive environment for children to interact positively and independently with others.

This study was motivated by the phenomenon of low learning motivation among students, which is often caused by a lack of parental attention and excessive use of gadgets in daily life. The purpose of this research was to determine and analyze the influence of parenting patterns on student motivation at MI Darul Hikmah. The study employed a quantitative research design using a survey method involving 15 parents of third-grade students as respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the parenting styles applied and their impact on children’s learning motivation. The findings revealed that parental involvement, guidance, and consistent discipline play a crucial role in shaping students’ motivation to learn. Statistical analysis showed that parenting patterns contributed significantly, accounting for 75% of the variation in student motivation, while the remaining 25% was influenced by other factors such as peer environment, teacher support, and internal student interests. These results emphasize the importance of harmonious communication and active participation of parents in guiding their children’s academic growth. Overall, this research highlights that effective parenting characterized by warmth, attention, and support can significantly improve students’ motivation and learning outcomes at the elementary school level.

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes through the implementation of the cooperative learning model of the jigsaw type in science instruction for Grade V students at SDN 76/IX Muaro Jambi. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis & McTaggart model, which consists of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research was conducted in two cycles to measure progressive improvements in student learning outcomes. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects were all 20 students of Grade V at SDN 76/IX Muaro Jambi. In the pre-cycle stage, before the intervention, only 25% of the students achieved satisfactory learning outcomes, which was categorized as "not yet meeting expectations." After the implementation of the first cycle, student achievement improved to 50%, falling into the category of "approaching fairly successful." However, this result had not yet reached the expected level of success. In the second cycle, the application of the jigsaw-type cooperative learning model was further optimized. The results showed a significant increase, with 80% of students achieving successful outcomes, which was categorized as "approaching highly successful." This improvement demonstrates that the jigsaw model effectively enhances student engagement, individual and group accountability, and conceptual understanding in science learning. Therefore, this study concludes that the cooperative learning model of the jigsaw type has a positive impact on improving student learning outcomes in science. The researcher recommends that teachers, especially in science and religious education (PAI), adopt the jigsaw learning model as a strategic alternative to foster an active, enjoyable, and meaningful learning process. The collaborative nature of the model encourages students to take responsibility for their own learning and for helping their peers, creating a more supportive and productive classroom environment.

The learning process is the implementation of the curriculum in educational institutions to influence students to achieve predetermined goals. Lack of student enthusiasm in the learning process results in learning outcomes that are not optimal. The purpose of the study was to analyze the influencing factors and teacher strategies in improving the learning outcomes of fifth grade students in Mathematics at Al-Muhajirin Islamic Elementary School. The method used is qualitative. Data collection techniques with observation, interviews and documentation. The research findings show that student learning outcomes at Al-Muhajirin Islamic Elementary School are classified as good, but there are still students with low learning outcomes. This can be seen from the average score of the midterm exam which although it is quite satisfying, but there are students who have not reached the standard of completeness. The research conclusions include the supporting and inhibiting factors for student learning outcomes. Internal supporting factors include motivation and attitude, while external supporting factors come from relationships with parents, teachers and the environment. Meanwhile, internal inhibiting factors are motivation, intelligence, interest and talent, self-confidence, and discipline. External inhibiting factors include family, school and peer environment. The teacher's strategy in improving student learning outcomes is to provide motivation, use varied learning strategies, provide learning methods that are in accordance with the situation and conditions of students and use interesting learning media in accordance with learning materials.

This study aims to examine the impact of the Jigsaw cooperative learning strategy on student learning outcomes at the secondary school level. Using a literature review method, the research synthesizes theoretical perspectives on cooperative learning, detailed applications of the Jigsaw model, and empirical findings from previous studies that focus on its effects across cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. The findings indicate that the Jigsaw strategy significantly improves students’ cognitive achievements and fosters affective development such as motivation, empathy, and positive attitudes toward learning. In addition, this strategy enhances students’ social interaction skills and promotes collaborative behavior, contributing to a more inclusive and engaging classroom environment. The collaborative nature of the Jigsaw model allows students to take responsibility for their own learning while also supporting their peers, which contributes to deeper understanding and retention of the material. These outcomes suggest that the Jigsaw method is an effective instructional approach for enhancing student engagement and academic performance. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of providing professional development opportunities for teachers to effectively implement the Jigsaw strategy. Furthermore, schools are encouraged to foster a classroom climate that supports teamwork and active student participation. Overall, this review highlights the Jigsaw model as a promising pedagogical tool for improving student outcomes and fostering 21st-century skills in secondary education settings.
