AL-MUSTAQBAL: Jurnal Agama Islam 2026 STIKes Ibnu Sina Ajibarang

Student cooperatives in Islamic boarding schools are no longer merely understood as business units providing daily necessities, but have developed into socio-economic spaces that shape independence, trust, and Islamic entrepreneurship education among students. This study is motivated by the limited number of studies examining pesantren cooperatives as socio-religious processes that cultivate values of trustworthiness, responsibility, transparency, and cooperation in students’ daily lives. The study aims to explain the empirical practices of student involvement in cooperative management, the social relations formed through economic activities in pesantren, and their implications for Islamic entrepreneurship education and the strengthening of pesantren economic independence. This research employed a qualitative approach with a field study method conducted at Pondok Pesantren Modern Elfira 2 Purwokerto. Data were collected through observation, interviews with cooperative administrators and student managers, and documentation of financial reports and cooperative operational activities. The findings reveal that students are directly involved in managing goods inventory, customer service, digital financial recording, and the distribution of daily necessities within the pesantren environment. These practices foster values of trustworthiness, transparency, responsibility, and cooperation through supervision systems, work shift arrangements, and daily evaluations. In addition to strengthening the pesantren’s economy, the cooperative also functions as a medium for experiential Islamic entrepreneurship learning. This article contributes to the sociology of Islamic education by demonstrating that student cooperatives function as socio-economic laboratories that shape students’ independence, social trust, and Islamic entrepreneurial ethics within the everyday life of pesantren communities.

SOSIAL: Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan IPS 2025 Asosiasi Peneliti Dan Pengajar Ilmu Sosial Indonesia

Education is a fundamental right that must be fought for by every child in the nation, and throughout its development, it continues to undergo innovations and evaluations toward better quality. One educational model that is growing in Indonesia is the boarding school system, which has its own characteristics, advantages, and challenges. This study aims to describe the social studies (IPS) teachers’ strategies in boarding school–based learning, the implementation of IPS learning within the boarding school environment, and the obstacles faced by IPS teachers at MTs Darul Hikmah. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. The study was conducted at Pondok Modern Darul Hikmah Tulungagung, with seventh-grade students as research subjects. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show several factors that influence the low effectiveness of IPS learning in boarding schools, including the dense institutional activity schedule that reduces students’ learning focus, teachers’ limited mastery of the subject matter and classroom management, and the dual curriculum implemented simultaneously within the institution. Efforts to improve IPS learning effectiveness include enhancing teacher discipline when entering and leaving the classroom, utilizing audio-visual learning media, and connecting learning materials with current issues to make the lessons more relevant and engaging. Furthermore, the study reveals several advantages of boarding school–based education, such as fostering students’ independence, developing social awareness, providing deeper religious instruction, and integrating both general and religious education. Thus, IPS learning in boarding schools has the potential to develop more optimally with the support of appropriate learning strategies and more structured institutional management.

Konstruksi: Publikasi Ilmu Teknik, Perencanaan Tata Ruang dan Teknik Sipil 2025 Asosiasi Riset Ilmu Teknik Indonesia

This research aims to design an Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes) with a sustainable architecture approach that is able to answer environmental, social, and economic challenges holistically. The method used is a qualitative-descriptive approach through architectural design research, which combines empirical data from the field with theoretical studies from relevant literature. The design location is on Jl. Gunungpati Raya, Nongkosawit Village, Gunungpati District, Semarang City, with an area of ±19,909.77 m². Data collection techniques include literature study, site observation, and comparative design study. Data were analyzed descriptively and spatially to formulate user needs and site potential. The design results show that the sustainable architecture approach can be implemented through functional layout, passive energy utilization, vegetation preservation, rainwater management, and waste recycling system. The design also accommodates social and economic aspects through the provision of organic farming areas and small farms as part of practice-based education. Contemporary Islamic architectural aesthetics are applied contextually, creating a healthy, inclusive, and adaptive learning environment. This research produces a sustainable pesantren design concept that can be a reference model in the development of environmentally friendly and self-reliance-based Islamic educational institutions..

The aim of this research is to determine the differences in social studies learning outcomes between regular and boarding school students. This research uses a quantitative approach with comparative methods. Data collection techniques use tests and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the t test. From the results of calculations that have been carried out using the t test with a significance level of 5%, the calculated value of tcount ≤ ttable or 1.462 ≤ 2.005746 is obtained. So Ha is rejected and H0 is accepted. It can be concluded from the results of these calculations that there is no significant difference in social studies learning outcomes between regular schools and boarding schools. This is proven by the R2 obtained which was only 2.9% while the remaining 97.1% was influenced by other variables.
