This essay explores the idea that the church is the body of Christ, as stated in 1 Corinthians 12:12-13. Studying the church history, theological meaning, and calling contained in this text helps us understand how the various members of the church function as one body under the leadership of Christ as the Head. These different roles demonstrate the strong connection between our faith in Christ and the work of the Holy Spirit uniting believers into one living body. In addition, this essay discusses how the calling of the church provides love, service, and spiritual growth that is in line with God's will.

This article discusses the theological understanding of the gifts of the Holy Spirit in 1 Corinthians 12:4-11, and its impact on the life of faith of Christians. The Apostle Paul emphasized the diversity of the gifts of the Holy Spirit given to every believer to build the body of Christ, namely the church. Although there are many different gifts, all come from one source, namely the Holy Spirit, and are intended for the common good. The theological view of Randy Frank Rouw highlights the important role of the Holy Spirit in the missionary service of the church, which enables people to sincerely accept Jesus and live His truth. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method to examine the understanding of the gifts of the Holy Spirit and its relevance in the context of the contemporary church. Data were obtained through a literature study with content analysis using the hermeneutic method, which provides an in-depth understanding of the meaning of these gifts in the historical and cultural context of the Corinthian congregation. The study also discusses how the modern church can apply these gifts wisely, considering the challenges faced by the contemporary church, such as differences in theological views and individualism. The results of the study emphasize the importance of a correct understanding of the gifts of the Holy Spirit in the life of the church today, with the aim of introducing Jesus Christ to the world and glorifying God. The diversity of gifts must be appreciated in the unity of the body of Christ, and each congregation is expected to use these gifts in love, complementing each other, and supporting the development of the church and society. This approach aims to provide practical guidance for the church in implementing the biblical teachings on the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

The purpose of this study was to determine the meaning of the new creation in the reading of 2 Corinthians 5:17 through the understanding of the BNKP Tobasa congregation and how they interpret the spiritual change in their daily lives. The method used in this study is the reader response criticism method, which emphasizes the active role of the reader or congregation in shaping the understanding of the Bible text. This study involved eight members of the BNKP Tobasa Balige congregation as informants, consisting of various backgrounds and ages. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews to explore how each individual interprets the concept of the new creation as a change that includes the renewal of the heart, mindset, and attitude of life guided by the Holy Spirit. They view the new creation as a process of transformation that brings someone out of an old life full of sin to a new life in Christ. However, even though there is a good theological understanding, it was also found that there is still a gap between understanding and application in daily life. Some congregations have not fully displayed the character and behavior that reflect life as a new creation both in relationships between fellow congregations and in their attitudes towards life of faith. This emphasizes the importance of ongoing formation in the congregation, especially to deepen their understanding of the meaning of the new creation and how it should be realized in real action.

Free sex in teenagers is a phenomenon that is increasingly prevalent. This study aims to explain effective ways to overcome teenage promiscuous sexual behavior, using the view of 1 Corinthians 15:33 in the Bible. Through a qualitative approach, this study analyzed data from in-depth interviews with teenagers and parents as well as a review of related literature. The results show that an approach that emphasizes the development of moral values, open communication between parents and children, as well as the establishment of a supportive environment and promoting healthy lifestyles are key in efforts to reduce promiscuous sexual behavior among adolescents. The implication of these findings is the need to be selective in choosing friends, building a close relationship with God, and conducting continuous character building.

This research is intended to discuss the importance of the resurrection of jesus according to 1 corinthians 15:1-8, by exploring its implications for religious beliefs and practices. Because the theme of the resurrection of Jesus chist is very important and central to the chritian faith. The Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 5 also expressed his belief regarding life after death for believers. The author can conclude that life after death is a better and happier life for those who believe. In Toba Batak society, the belief that the Tondi (spirit) of people who have experienced death is still connected with humans who are still alive in the world emphasizes that death is not the end, but rather the beginning of a meaningful spiritual journey. Traditional ceremonies and care for ancestral relics are a form of respect for life after death in Toba Batak culture. Literature study is the method used in this research.
