Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in Indonesia’s economy, especially in Bantul Regency, where they significantly contribute to the Gross Regional Product(GRDP) and job creation. Despite a rise in MSMEs numbers from 2021 to 2024, their long-term viability is hindered by issues like insufficient funding, inadequate accounting skills, and underutilization of e-commerce platforms. This research investigates how businesses, accounting knowledge, and e-commerce adoption impact MSME sustainability in Bantul Regency. Employing a quantitative method, it collected primary data via questionnaires from 100 MSME operators selected through purposive sampling. Analysis involved multiple linear regression. Findings indicated that business capital had no significant influence on sustainability, while accounting knowledge and e-commerce use positively and significantly boosted it. The R2 value of 29% show that these factors collectively explain 29% of MSME sustainability variance, with the remaining 71% attributed to external variables. The study highlights the need to enchane accounting education and digital tools to boost MSME competitiveness and resilience.

The objective of this study is to directly analyze and illustrate the compositioneof the auditecommittee, which consists of financial knowledge, independence and the quantity of members on the committee, concerning the financial statement quality of energy sector industries listed on the IDX in 2023-2024.High-quality financial statements are a crucial component reflecting the outcome of the accounting process and are vital for stakeholders in decision-making. Despite regulatory requirements for audit committees, corporate financial statements in Indonesia often contain earnings management or accounting irregularities, indicating that the audit committee's very existence is insufficient to guarantee financial statements' quality. A numerical approach with a causal-comparative approach is utilized in this investigation. The secondary quantitative data are obtained from companies’ yearly financial statements, annual reports, and corporate governance disclosures published on the official IDX website. The data are examined using EViews software for panel data regression, going through many steps, including descriptive statistics, classical assumption testing, panel data model selection, and regression analysis for hypothesis testing. The audit committee's size, objectivity, and financial acumen make up the study's independent variables. Meanwhile, financial statement quality as the dependent variable is measured through earnings quality proxy using the discretionary accruals calculation approach (Jones model or Modified Jones model). Specifically, this research seeks to deliver theoretical and practical benefits for regulators in formulating corporate governance policies, give companies a comprehension of the importance of an effective audit committee, and help investors make informed investment choices.

This study aims to explain how the implementation of a Financial Management Information System (MISK) can improve decision-making capabilities in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). In the digital era, MSMEs are required to manage their finances quickly, accurately, and in an integrated manner to compete in a dynamic market. The SIMK offers a solution to simplify the process of recording, analyzing, and reporting financial information in real time, enabling business decisions to be based on valid data. Analysis of various studies shows that the implementation of a MISK can improve operational efficiency, financial reporting transparency, and the quality of managerial decisions. However, its effectiveness is greatly influenced by financial literacy, digital readiness, and the ability of human resources to operate the system. Many MSMEs still have not fully utilized technology due to limited capital and accounting knowledge. With training and government policy support, the implementation of a MISK is expected to strengthen the competitiveness of MSMEs, increase productivity, and achieve professional financial governance.

The purpose of this scientific paper is to design and implement a knowledge-based expert system to assist students in determining their major specializations at Vocational High Schools (SMK) more objectively and accurately. A major problem frequently faced by SMK students is the mismatch in department selection caused by a lack of understanding regarding their own potential and the specific criteria of each competency. To address this issue, the system was developed using the Forward Chaining method as the inference engine. This method operates in a data-driven manner, beginning with the collection of facts such as interests, academic abilities, and psychological aspects, which are then matched against a Knowledge Base consisting of IF-THEN logical rules. Based on system testing results, the inference engine is capable of processing the list of facts to generate a specialization diagnosis for SMK students and provide the most relevant departmental recommendations, such as Computer and Network Engineering (TKJ), Accounting, Office Automation and Governance (OTKP), or Marketing. The research results indicate that the implementation of the Forward Chaining method is effective in accelerating the decision-making process and minimizing placement errors. This expert system is expected to serve as a tool for Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers in providing appropriate career direction for students based on structured empirical data.

Challenges faced by accounting students in producing accurate financial statements aligned with international standards, notably due to limited English proficiency. Therefore, this study examines the influence of accounting English vocabulary mastery and accounting concept comprehension on students ability in preparing financial statements in English. This study employed a quantitative method with a survey approach and multiple linear regession analysis. The research subjects are 81 accounting department students at Politeknik Negeri Banjarmasin taken with purposive sampling. Data was collected using a questionnaire and a performance task to measure vocabulary mastery, conceptual understanding, and the ability to prepare financial statements. The findings show that accounting English vocabulary mastery has a significant positive effect on students’ ability to prepare financial statements in English, while comprehension of accounting concepts does not show a significant individual effect. The adjusted R-squared value of 0.627 indicates that both variables together explain 62.7% of the variance in students’ ability. These findings emphasize that technical vocabulary mastery is a dominant factor enabling students to apply conceptual knowledge effectively in English-based financial reporting. It also highlights the importance of English for Specific Purposes (ESP) strategies in accounting education and suggests integrating vocabulary-focused learning methods to enhance students’ readiness for global accounting practices.

This study aims to analyze the implementation of internal control in the receivables audit process and evaluate its effectiveness in minimizing the risk of bad debts in a health center environment. Receivables, especially those originating from health services to JKN participants and general patients, can cause problematic receivables if not managed effectively. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection through observation, interviews and documentation review during the audit by a public accounting firm. The results of the study indicate that there are still weaknesses in the internal control structure such as suboptimal separation of duties, an unintegrated receivables information system and a weak bad debt reserve policy. In addition, late payments by third parties and poor patient administration knowledge are also external factors that influence the high risk of bad debts. Therefore, improving the internal control system, implementing information technology and strengthening coordination with the guarantor are very important to reduce the risk of bad debts and increase accountability for financial management in the health center environment.

This study evaluates the effectiveness of the SAP accounting information system in supporting the implementation of the Independent Learning–Independent Campus (MBKM) Internship Program at PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk, Gedangan Unit. SAP, as an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, was adopted to replace the previous desktop-based system, which had significant limitations, such as restricted local access, dependence on additional licenses, and lower integration capabilities across departments. The main objective of this research is to determine how SAP contributes to improving organizational efficiency while simultaneously providing practical learning opportunities for students participating in the MBKM internship program. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through direct observation of company operations, semi-structured interviews with student interns and field supervisors, and analysis of company documentation. The findings indicate that the use of SAP has enhanced efficiency, accuracy, and speed in recording and reporting financial transactions. Through their internship, students engaged directly in business processes, particularly in handling purchase requisitions, reimbursement procedures, and asset management activities. This exposure enabled students to develop a deeper understanding of integrated financial systems and the workflow of a large-scale agribusiness corporation. Although several technical challenges were encountered, particularly in the form of temporary network disruptions, such issues did not substantially hinder the system’s overall performance. The availability of prompt technical support from the company’s IT team minimized potential negative impacts and ensured system continuity. Beyond improving corporate financial governance, SAP also offered valuable experiential learning for interns, bridging theoretical knowledge acquired in academic settings with real-world industrial applications. Overall, the study concludes that SAP functions not only as a strategic enterprise tool for the company but also as an effective educational medium that supports the success of the MBKM internship program.

This study aims to analyze the extent to which Statement of Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK) 109 on Zakat Accounting has been implemented in the financial reporting of Amil Zakat Institutions. PSAK 109 is designed as a guideline to ensure that the management of zakat, infaq, and alms funds is carried out in an accountable, transparent, and Sharia-compliant manner. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation as data collection techniques, allowing for a comprehensive exploration of zakat accounting practices applied by the institution. The findings indicate that the Amil Zakat Institution has implemented most aspects of PSAK 109, particularly in the recognition, measurement, and presentation of zakat funds, which are clearly separated from non-zakat funds. This practice demonstrates a positive effort by the institution to maintain accountability and transparency in managing public funds. However, the study also reveals weaknesses in the disclosure aspect, especially in the Notes to Financial Statements (CALK), where the information provided remains limited and has not fully met the requirements of PSAK 109. Such limitations reduce the overall quality and transparency of financial reporting. The main challenges in implementing PSAK 109 include the limited number of human resources with sufficient technical knowledge of zakat accounting, the inadequacy of the existing accounting information system, and the lack of intensive technical training. These issues hinder the optimal application of PSAK 109 and may lead to inconsistent interpretations in practice. Therefore, strategic improvements are required through internal capacity building, the development of integrated accounting information systems, and continuous assistance from relevant authorities. These efforts are expected to enhance the quality of zakat financial reporting, making it more transparent, accountable, and Sharia-compliant, while also strengthening public trust in Amil Zakat Institutions as trustworthy managers of public funds.

This study aims to investigate the influence of workload, competence, and red flags on auditors' ability to detect financial statement fraud. Fraud detection is a crucial aspect of the audit process, especially amidst increasing business complexity and pressure on the integrity of financial reporting. This study was conducted on 104 external auditors working at 12 Public Accounting Firms (KAP) operating in the Bekasi area. Respondents were selected using a purposive sampling technique, namely selecting samples based on certain criteria relevant to the research objectives. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires compiled based on research variable indicators, then analyzed using hypothesis testing with the help of SPSS Statistics software version 26. The results of the analysis indicate that partially, the variables of workload and red flags have a negative influence on auditors' ability to detect financial statement fraud. This indicates that auditors with high workloads or who do not accurately identify red flags have a lower tendency to detect fraud. Conversely, auditor competence shows a significant positive influence on fraud detection ability. Auditors who have adequate knowledge, skills, and experience tend to be more capable of identifying and analyzing indications of fraud in financial statements. Simultaneously, the three independent variables—workload, competence, and red flags—significantly influence auditors' ability to detect financial statement fraud. This finding underscores the importance of managing auditor workload, improving competence through ongoing training, and developing a thorough understanding of red flag indicators to enhance audit effectiveness and financial statement quality. This research is expected to contribute to the development of audit practices and the enhancement of auditor professionalism in Indonesia.
