The Pantai Indah Pohe tourist area in Pohe Village, Gorontalo City, holds significant potential as a premier coastal tourism destination. However, challenges such as a lack of adequate location markers and insufficient visual promotion strategies hinder its development. To address these issues, a community service initiative was carried out by the D4 Architecture and Building Construction (ABG) Program at Gorontalo State University. The initiative aimed to enhance the visual image of the area and foster greater community involvement in promoting local tourism. The project adopted a participatory approach, actively engaging the village government, tourism awareness groups, and residents of various age groups. The activities involved creating and installing a new signage system for the "Pantai Indah Pohe" area, which serves as a crucial element for enhancing the visibility of the tourist spot. In addition, community engagement was facilitated through events such as coloring contests and sack races, aimed at promoting a sense of unity and local pride. The outcomes of this initiative revealed an increase in community awareness regarding the importance of visual promotion for tourism. It also fostered stronger social connections between local residents and academics, contributing to the community’s sense of ownership and pride in their local resources. Furthermore, the initiative provided tangible contributions to the strengthening of the local identity, with community members actively participating in the improvement process. The project aligns with Community-Based Tourism (CBT) principles and placemaking theory, which emphasize the importance of community involvement in shaping tourist destinations. This community service activity serves as an exemplary model of integrating architectural design, education, and sustainable tourism development, showcasing how academic and community collaboration can drive positive changes in local tourism promotion.

The term cooperative is certainly familiar to us. If referring to Law No. 17 of 2012 article 1, a cooperative is defined as a legal entity established by an individual or a cooperative legal entity, with the separation of the wealth of its members as capital to run a business, which meets common aspirations and needs. In its implementation, cooperatives not only have goals, principles or principles, but also a foundation. As a unique business entity, cooperatives are different from other business entities. In this case, it can be seen from its membership, where cooperative members are known to have dual identities. Reading plays an important role in building a literate generation that is able to improve academic skills, broaden horizons and maintain local cultural identity. However, the low interest in reading in Indonesia, especially among students, is a big challenge. Internal factors, such as student motivation, and external factors, such as family and school support, are highly influential. Strategies such as reading for pleasure, edutainment and the School Literacy Movement are effective in fostering a reading culture as well as shaping students' characters, such as honesty, empathy and critical thinking. Challenges in implementation include limited reading materials, teacher training, technology support and collaboration with the community. Strategic steps, such as enrichment of reading materials, intensive teacher training and community involvement, are needed to overcome them. With good literacy, students can think critically, have character and contribute positively. This research uses a qualitative approach through a literature study to examine the importance of literacy culture.

This article explores the relationship between nationalism and Christian faith from a biblical perspective. Nationalism is often defined as loyalty to nation and state, while Christian faith centres on loyalty to God and His kingdom. In the Indonesian context, churches participated in the nationalism movement from the colonialism era until independence. Based on theological studies, the Bible provides insight that believers' primary loyalty should be to God, although they are also expected to be good citizens. This article uses a literature study method with a qualitative approach to analyse relevant biblical texts as well as related theological literature. The concept of nation in the Bible is examined from the perspective of the Old Testament, which focuses on the ethnic identity of the nation of Israel, to the New Testament, which expands the nation's identity into an inclusive community of faith. The article also highlights the ethical implications of nationalism for Christians, who should reflect the values of justice, love and sacrifice, and avoid exclusionary and xenophobic attitudes.

The film "Wicked," adapted from the novel by Gregory Maguire, offered a new perspective on the character Elphaba, who was known as the wicked witch in the classic story "The Wizard of Oz." This research aimed to explore how Elphaba's character challenged the negative stereotypes associated with her and highlighted the importance of representing complex characters in media. This study was descriptive in nature, employing a semiotic approach to analyze the signs and meanings contained within Elphaba's character, as well as the social critique implications that arose. The findings indicated that Elphaba was not merely perceived as a symbol of evil but also served as a representation of empowerment for marginalized individuals, reflecting the complexities of identity and the struggle against social stigma. Elphaba's character illustrated a journey of transformation from ostracism to self-acceptance, inspiring audiences to understand and appreciate diversity and the challenges faced by those considered different. The film invited viewers to reflect on how societal judgments were often based on physical appearance and encouraged them to celebrate differences. The implications of this social critique were significant, as they could foster empathy and positive change within society, as well as raise awareness of the importance of embracing individual uniqueness.

Paulo Freire’s concept of liberal education is still not implemented in the world of education in developing countries. Educational actors still adhere to the banking system to oppress students. This study raises a social correlation between educators and students called school family kinship. The education curriculum needs to be used as an indicator of success in terms of the intelligence of the children. The curriculum has continued to transform since 1947 to 2022 but has not found its identity.  Now, the independent learning curriculum is intensively grounded, but there are gaps between regions and between socio-economic groups in terms of learning quality. The implementation of the independent learning curriculum is considered not to have a significant positive effect in the outermost and marginalized areas. Therefore, the old pattern called banking system of education is still used. Students are considered empty piggy banks that must be filled by the teacher. Teachers are still recognized as the all-knowing in knowledge that must be poured into the brains of students. As a result, students can only follow what is transferred by the teacher. This is the basis for the author to try to provide briefings to Catholic teachers and education personnel in Wini and Wekfau parishes regarding the implementation of an independent curriculum in Catholic Schools. This study uses qualitative methods with observation techniques carried out in coastal parishes (Wini) and in the mountains (Wekfau) in terms of geographical location to find out the similarity of perceptions of the independent curriculum. This study applies a qualitative method with observation techniques carried out in the coastal parish (Wini) and in the mountains (Wekfau) in terms of geographical location to find out the similarities in perceptions of the implementation of the independent curriculum in two different areas.
